Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 246: Prototype Potions Cause Emotional Damage

The next morning, every disciple had gathered in the dojo after finishing a massive and chaotic breakfast.

Garion walked in with his hands behind his back, wearing that familiar dangerous smirk.

"Alright… Are you all ready?"

The senior disciples straightened instantly.

"READY!"

Garion nodded, pleased. "Good."

He then turned toward Mersha, who stood with other direct disciples.

"Mersha," Garion said, "have you finished them?"

Mersha pushed up her glasses and nodded proudly. "Of course."

Garion blinked. "I only gave you one day."

"Master," she said, tapping her temple lightly, "please don't underestimate me. I'm considered a genius in my clan."

Mersha continued, arms crossed.

"But because of the limited time, these potions are only usable for the First Realm, the Mana Cells Refinement Realm. And… they're still prototypes, so the effects may miss sometimes."

Garion raised an eyebrow. "Miss?"

Mersha shrugged. "Well… boom, wrong effect, slight explosion, maybe a weird side reaction. You know. Prototype things."

Several disciples quietly stepped back.

Garion sighed and opened the system storage. Two unfamiliar bottles appeared in his hand.

One was bright blood-red, and another one was glowing leaf-green.

The moment the disciples saw the red one, many of them flinched.

Arden whispered, "Oh no… Master's supplements are already scary, but that potion looks even worse."

Dahlia elbowed him. "Shut up. He can hear you."

Garion ignored them and checked the description in front of him.

[Name: Prototype Red Potion]

[Eligible: Mana Cells Refinement Realm cultivators]

[Effect: Boosts physical fitness for a few hours.]

[Flaw: After the boost ends, the user suffers extreme soreness and sometimes temporary full-body paralysis.]

[Taste: Super spicy]

---

[Name: Prototype Green Potion]

[Eligible: Mana Cells Refinement Realm cultivators

[Effect: Instantly heals injuries and grants endless energy for hours.]

[Flaw: After the effect fades, extreme hunger and deep soreness will appear all over the body.]

[Taste: Super bitter]

Garion's eye twitched.

"…Mersha."

"Yes, Master?"

"These side effects… are you trying to kill someone?"

Mersha puffed her cheeks and looked away. "W-Well… good things come with a price…"

The disciples stared at her like she was a ticking bomb.

Garion exhaled, then turned to everyone.

"Alright. Listen up."

He raised both potions.

"These are potions your junior sister, Mersha, made."

Instantly, the entire hall went pale. A few disciples actually took a step back. Someone whispered, "We're gonna die…"

Garion ignored them.

"The green one can heal you instantly," he continued.

"It restores your body, refills your energy, and keeps you moving for hours."

Everyone nodded slowly… until he lifted the red one.

"And the red potion boosts your strength for a few hours. You'll hit harder, move faster, and fight like beasts."

The disciples exchanged nervous glances.

The red bottle bubbled slightly as if it wanted to start a fight.

Dahlia raised her hand. "Okay… sounds good so far. But what about the side effects?"

Garion froze for half a second, and then... he smiled very suspiciously.

"Side effects?" He tapped the red bottle lightly. "Mm… let's just say… afterwards, you'll be tired."

Dahlia narrowed her eyes. "Master."

Garion cleared his throat. "Don't worry about it. It builds character."

Arden whispered to Rynar, "That means it's bad."

Rynar nodded. "Very bad."

Meanwhile, Mersha proudly clasped her hands behind her back. "The formulas are perfectly stable…mostly."

Eliza leaned close to Clara. "She said mostly."

Garion clapped to silence everyone.

"Anyway... Don't think too much about the side effects. Let it be a surprise for later."

"No, thank you!" Several disciples shouted instantly.

Garion waved his hand.

"Anyway... Don't use these unless you're in a critical situation. Understand? Critical. As in, you are about to die."

The disciples nodded quickly.

Dahlia muttered, "If the poison doesn't kill us, the potion will…"

Garion smiled like he didn't hear her. "Good. Now that introductions are done… warm up. We're starting training soon."

Everyone groaned.

Mersha adjusted her glasses, grinning. "If you need more potions, let me know!"

"No!!" the disciples shouted in fear.

Garion chuckled lightly, pretending not to notice the panic.

"Alright, enough noise. Let's continue."

Everyone straightened, though many were still staring at the potions like they were bombs.

Garion clasped his hands behind his back. "I'll be dividing you all into four teams for the hunt."

The disciples quieted. This part was important.

Garion pointed toward Arden, Rynar, and Rynor.

"These three are the only ones who awakened their [Unique Physiques], so they'll each lead one team."

Rynar smirked proudly.

Rynor puffed his chest.

Arden blinked calmly, as if this was obvious from the start.

Garion then turned to Dahlia.

"And the fourth team will be led by Dahlia."

Dahlia's eyes widened. "Me?!"

Garion nodded. "Of course. You're my first disciple, after all."

Dahlia grinned so hard her cheeks twitched. "H-heh. Obviously."

Garion continued.

"For the inner disciples... most of you will join Dahlia's team. The remaining few will join Arden, Rynar, and Rynor."

A few disciples sighed in relief. Some groaned, already imagining Dahlia yelling at them during hunting.

"As for the outer disciples," Garion said, "divide yourselves evenly into the four groups."

Everyone nodded like obedient kittens.

Garion then pointed at three specific people standing near the front.

"You three... Listen carefully."

Mersha lifted her head. Seira crossed her arms. Valtor cracked his neck.

Garion continued.

"Mersha will join Rynar's team."

Rynar's eye twitched. "Hah?! Why me?!"

Mersha smiled sweetly. "We'll get along very well, senior brother."

Rynar stepped back instantly. "O-Oi, don't say creepy stuff like that! And don't call me "senior brother" so cutely!"

She tilted her head. "Why? Are you scared?"

Rynar puffed his chest. "Who the hell is scared?! I j-just... just don't give me your potions!"

Garion hid a laugh.

"And Seira will join Rynor's team."

Rynor froze mid-grin.

Seira looked at him with eyes cold enough to freeze fire. "Don't be a burden."

Rynor smirked, cracking his knuckles.

"A burden? Me? Watch closely, Ice Princess. I'll carry your whole damn team if I have to."

Seira raised an eyebrow. "We'll see."

Rynor leaned closer to Rynar and muttered, "Bro… I'm so dead."

Rynar snorted. "Good luck, dumbass."

Garion smirked and finally looked at Valtor.

"And Valtor… you'll be with Arden."

Valtor grinned. "Good. Someone strong can keep up with me."

Arden didn't even look at him.

He simply nodded once and said, "Try not to get lost."

Valtor almost choked. "Lost?! Who would? Hey!"

Garion clapped loudly.

"Good. Now everyone knows their teams."

He looked around, gaze sharp.

"Prepare yourselves, as we will go outside to begin our demonic beast hunt event in an hour."
