Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 260: This Physique Is Cheating

Dahlia let out a breath and crossed her arms, looking between the two of them with clear interest.

"Alright," she said. "Now I really want to know."

She pointed at Clara first.

"You. How did you suddenly turn into liquid and gas? One moment you were solid, the next you were untouchable."

Then she turned to Eliza.

"And you. How did you disappear and reappear like a ghost? You didn't even leave a trace."

Eliza stayed quiet, as usual, simply watching.

Clara, on the other hand, smirked.

"Before that…" she said slowly.

Suddenly, Clara rushed forward.

Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Hm?"

Clara grinned wide. "Time for me to do what I promised."

She lifted her hand.

"I've awakened my [Unique Physique], so I can finally smack you, Senior Sister Dahlia."

Dahlia burst out laughing. "Oh? Let's see if you can."

She didn't dodge.

Instead, Dahlia swung her arm forward.

Her hand transformed instantly, dragon scales forming as her fingers became sharp claws.

She struck Clara head-on.

Dahlia wasn't worried at all. Clara had awakened now.

She wouldn't die from this. And even if something went wrong...

She still had the green potion Master gave her.

But the moment her claw hit...

Her attack passed straight through.

"…Huh?"

Clara's body turned liquid again, flowing around Dahlia's arm like water.

Dahlia's eyes widened in shock.

"What?!"

Clara's voice came from the side.

"Hehe."

She stepped back into solid form, hands on her hips, clearly enjoying herself.

Dahlia stared at her hand, then at Clara.

"There's no way…"

Clara laughed. "Surprised?"

Dahlia frowned deeply.

"How can your [Unique Physique] be this ridiculous? Liquid, gas... What's next? How is this even fair?"

She shook her head.

"This is too overpowered."

Then...

"Ouch."

Dahlia flinched as something smacked her squarely in the back of the head.

"Ouch!" Clara yelped at the same time, clutching her hand.

Both of them turned around instantly.

Clara stared at her palm. "The hell? Why is your head so hard?!"

Dahlia rubbed the back of her head and smirked.

"Of course it's hard. I'm covered in dragon scales."

Clara scowled. "Damn it."

Dahlia laughed, then waved a hand.

"Alright, alright. You've hit me once. That counts."

She looked at Clara seriously now.

"So. Care to explain?"

Clara sighed dramatically.

"Okay, okay."

She straightened up, her playful expression calming down.

"My [Unique Physique] is called [Illusion]."

Dahlia blinked.

"…Illusion?"

Then her eyes widened.

"Wait a minute…"

Clara's impossible transformations.

"…Don't tell me."

Clara grinned.

"Of course."

Dahlia sucked in a breath.

"Everything just now… the liquid body, the gas, even the hit you took…"

Clara nodded proudly.

"All illusion."

Dahlia clicked her tongue.

"…Damn it."

She looked around again, then at the juniors behind them.

"You even pulled all of us into your illusion?"

Clara shrugged casually.

"What can I say? [Unique Physique] is just that powerful."

She tapped her chest lightly.

"My body itself radiates illusion power. Whether you like it or not, if you're close enough…"

She smiled. "You're already inside my illusion world."

Dahlia let out a low whistle.

"…No wonder Master said [Unique Physique] is even better from mana traits."

Clara nodded.

"Yeah. If I were using a mana trait, I'd have to activate it, control it, and maintain it."

She spread her hands.

"But this? It's just… I don't need to think hard at all."

She tilted her head.

"I don't think I could ever do this with normal mana cultivation."

Dahlia stared at her for a long moment.

Then she laughed.

"…Unfair," she said. "Completely unfair."

Eliza finally spoke, her voice calm. "…Your illusion feels real."

Clara smiled at her.

"Thanks. That's the best compliment."

Dahlia let out a breath and shook her head once, then turned her attention fully to Eliza.

"Alright," she said. "Now it's your turn."

She looked Eliza up and down carefully.

"How did you disappear for so long?" Dahlia asked.

"And then suddenly appear like that… just like a ghost?"

Eliza nodded calmly. "Yeah. Because I am a ghost."

There was a short pause.

Clara blinked.

Dahlia blinked.

"…What?" Clara said.

Dahlia frowned. "Wait. Did I hear that wrong?"

She leaned closer. "Did you just say you're a ghost?"

Eliza nodded again, completely serious. "Yes."

Clara slowly turned to Dahlia. "Did she hit her head during awakening?"

Dahlia crossed her arms. "I'm starting to think your illusion hit us too hard."

Eliza tilted her head slightly. "…My [Unique Physique] is called [Ghost]."

Both of them froze.

"…That's allowed?" Clara muttered.

Dahlia stared at Eliza, eyes sharp.

"A ghost… as a physique? How does that even work?"

Eliza thought for a moment, then answered simply.

"…Just like how a ghost works."

Before either of them could respond, Eliza vanished silently and instantly.

Clara's eyes widened. "Huh?!"

Dahlia instantly turned her head, scanning the area. "Where did you..."

Eliza's voice came from behind them.

"…Here."

Both Clara and Dahlia flinched.

Eliza stood right behind them, close enough that they hadn't sensed anything at all.

Clara spun around. "When did you get there?!"

Eliza spoke calmly.

"My presence is reduced almost completely. My movement doesn't create sound."

She stepped back slightly.

"And what you were talking to just now…" she added, "…was only my ghost afterimage."

Dahlia's frown deepened.

"…Afterimage?"

Before she could say more, Eliza vanished again.

She reappeared beside them an instant later, standing casually with her hands at her sides.

"…Because," Eliza continued, "…I can become invisible."

Clara sucked in a sharp breath. "That's cheating."

Dahlia nodded slowly. "…That's beyond cheating."

Eliza looked at Dahlia's arm. "There's more."

She raised her hand and calmly reached forward.

Her fingers passed straight through Dahlia's body.

Dahlia stiffened. "…Huh?"

She looked down.

Eliza's hand was inside her arm.

There was no resistance or even pain.

Her hand just... passed through.

Dahlia tried to grab Eliza's wrist.

Her hand closed on nothing.

Eliza pulled her hand back, and it became solid again.

"…I can pass through things," Eliza said. "Like a ghost."

Dahlia stepped back quickly, eyes wide. "…What the hell?"

She tried again, swinging her arm, dragon scales forming instinctively.

Eliza didn't dodge.

The attack passed through her harmlessly.

Dahlia stopped, disbelief written all over her face.

"…No matter what I do, I can't touch you."

Eliza nodded. "Yes."

Clara stared at Eliza from head to toe.

"…Okay. I take it back."

She pointed at Eliza.

"Yours is way crazier than mine."

Dahlia exhaled slowly, then laughed.

"…Illusion and Ghost."

She looked at both of them.

"Master really outdid himself with this path."
