My Seven Wives Are Beautiful Saintesses

Chapter 185: The Unbound Fate

The Grand Hall of the Imperial Palace was awash in a spiritual warmth that transcended the power of the six elemental Daos present. The six Empresses sat together, their initial shock replaced by a shared, serene joy, their conversations centered on names, nurseries, and the future of the Void Dynasty.

The atmosphere intensified as Vahn, the God of Void, entered the room. Despite his ascension to absolute divinity, he carried no air of cold distance, only an overwhelming sense of protective affection for his Queens and their unborn children.

He moved through the room with genuine tenderness, speaking lovey doveyily with each of his wives.

He first approached Aria, gently resting his hands over her abdomen. "My War Empress, you lead the way. You have faced down armies, but nothing will prepare you for the chaos of motherhood. We shall face it together, my dear warrior." He gave her a tender kiss on the forehead.

Aria, usually fierce and strong, felt a blush form on her cheeck.

Next was Lilith. "My Empress of Darkness, your calm heart will be a fortress for our child. May they possess your quiet strength and mastery over the unseen."

He kissed her cheek, lingering slightly on the cold marble of her skin.

He moved to Seraphina. "My First Light, you are already a perfect mother." He kissed her hand reverently. "The purity you bestow upon this heir will be the salvation of our darkest corners. I am so proud of the family we have made from the very start."

Evelina received him with a newfound softness. "My Empress of Ice, your beauty now holds the spark of creation. The chaos of the world cannot touch them." He leaned down, giving her a gentle, prolonged kiss.

"Thank you for finding the warmth in the Void."

Flama practically glowed. "My Fire, you are vibrant. Your passion will ensure our child is strong and fearless. I trust your inner fire to nurture them best." His kiss was playful, yet deep.

Finally, he embraced Valeria. "My Empress of Nature, you ensure the life force thrives. May our child grow strong, rooted in the stability you provide." He kissed her with respect and devotion.

Then, a small, bright figure darted into the room. Eterna, Seraphina's cherished daughter and Vahn's current heir, ran up to him, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Papa! Papa! Mama Seraphina said I'm getting a baby brother or sister!" she exclaimed, clinging to his leg.

Vahn lifted his little daughter into a hug. "That's right, my little Star. Six of them, maybe even more."

Eterna giggled, hugging him fiercely. "Six? That's so many! I want lots of baby brothers and sisters! So I can teach them how to fly the Spirit-Tech Wings!"

"Hahaha..."

The entire room burst into warm laughter. It was a sound of domestic bliss, unimaginable only months prior when wars raged across the continents.

Vahn gently set Eterna down. The laughter subsided, replaced by an expectant silence as Vahn's expression became official.

"My Empresses," Vahn announced, his voice carrying the calm authority of a God making a sacred promise. "The Empire is unified. The lineage is secured. The time for hiding our truth is past. I have conquered this world, and now I wish to celebrate the most important conquest of all: my family."

He paused, letting the magnitude of his words sink in.

"I am going to hold a grand Wedding in front of the whole world. A ceremony worthy of the God of Void and his Six Empresses. It will be the largest, most extravagant declaration of power and love Dalu has ever witnessed."

The six Women instantly overjoyed. They erupted in happy cries and excited chatter. Each were filled with anticipation.

Aria clapped her hands together, a fierce sparkle in her eye. "Husband, it's a strategic necessity. It's also a public display of power is exactly what the remnants need to see. We shall make this grand. I want the fleets positioned for a flyover salute!"

Seraphina's smile was incandescent. "A public vow, before the entire world! That is all I ever truly wished for, Hubby. I want the gardens overflowing with Light Dao lilies! It must be beautiful!"

Lilith stood up, a rare sign of intense emotion. "My Emperor, I shall personally take charge of security. No shadow will dare fall upon this sacred event. I'll be everyone's protector."

Evelina sighed happily, leaning into Flama. "A proper ceremony. Finally! I am going choose the most exquisite silks from the former Celestial treasury. It must be the most beautiful day of my life."

Flama cheered, jumping up and throwing a handful of rare alchemical petals into the air.

"We need explosions! Grand, colorful, harmless alchemical fireworks that light up the sky for a week! This will be the greatest gathering ever!"

Valeria shook her head, smiling deeply. "Darling, I will ensure the finest harvest wines and the most enchanting nature music. Every sentient being in Dalu will celebrate with us!"

Amidst the collective excitement, Celestine Starborn was the only one who did not react with overwhelming enthusiasm, despite maintaining a pleasant smile on the outside.

Her eyes, however, held a deep, unbearable ache.

Vahn, being the God of Void and capable of perceiving the subtlest emotional shifts, immediately noticed her internal agony.

He gently excused himself and approached Celestine, taking her arm and guiding her out of the noise and excitement, onto the massive, wind-swept balcony overlooking the Imperial City.

"Celestine," Vahn said softly, turning her to face him. "Everyone is happy, but you harbor pain. Tell me the truth, my guide. Why are you so insistent on this choice? The world is conquered. The Goddess is silenced. The future is ours to write."

Vahn closed the distance, his eyes, now pools of infinite conceptual power, searching hers. He kissed her fiercely, a profound, soul-searching kiss that contained the absolute love and boundless desire of a God.

He pulled back slightly, his voice dropping to a low, demanding tone.

"Tell me, Celestine. What is it? Was I the most despicable person in the world that you cannot accept my vow? Or is it something else, something hidden in your Fate Dao that you refuse to share?"

Celestine's composure finally broke. Tears, like shattered stars, tracked paths down her cheeks. The power of Fate was a curse of foresight.

"It is not you, Vahn," she whispered, her voice choked with sorrow. "It is the cost."

She forced herself to meet his eyes, the words tearing from her soul.

"If I love you, the destiny will change. Our paths were ordained to meet, to secure your ascension, but not to merge. If I become your wife, if I bear your divine child, the timeline will shift, and a greater cosmic calamity will be unleashed that not even you, God of Void, can defeat. I hold the future by remaining separate."

Vahn gripped her shoulders, his divine power probing the boundaries of her truth.

He saw the genuine, terrifying complexity of her foresight.

"Do not let fear dictate your existence, Celestine," Vahn urged, trying to inject sense and courage into her rigid acceptance of doom.

"I am the God of Void! I destroy destiny! Let us face this predicted calamity together. My power is absolute!"

But she shook her head vehemently. "No, Vahn. You are the immovable object; I must be the unattached spirit. Your power is the cure, but my freedom is the prevention. My choice is the highest act of love."

With that final, painful declaration, she faded. She didn't teleport or fly; she simply dissolved into the Fate Dao, leaving behind only the scent of sunshine and sorrow.

"She disappeared again."

Vahn stood alone on the balcony, his expression a complex of divine power and human frustration. He was the God of Void, capable of bending reality, yet he could not conquer the love of one woman constrained by a terrifying foresight.

He sighed, pushing the emotional turmoil aside.

Afterwards, the preparation of the Grand Wedding was ongoing in the Imperial Capital City, Necrotis. Artisans, alchemists, and spiritual engineers worked ceaselessly.

The Imperial city was being transformed into a monument of light, gold, and obsidian power. The sheer scale of the event was unparalleled.

From a solitary, hidden vantage point on the highest, least-used tower in the capital, Celestine watched everything. She saw the joy of the six Empresses, the furious energy of the preparation, and the boundless love of the man who had become a God.

She knew she had made the right choice for the sake of the cosmos, but the pain was an agonizing, constant physical presence. She touched the spot where Vahn had kissed her moments ago, and in the silence of her solitude, she cried alone.

Her fate was to watch the happiness she could never touch.

"If only the cosmos had spared us one quiet life… one moment where I could be selfish. I would have chosen him. I would have walked beside him in light instead of hiding in the cold edges of fate. But I saw the truth, the destruction that follows if I stay at his side. So I step away… and he smiles for others while I bleed alone. This is my burden. My curse. My love."
