10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 138: Aegon's Surprise

The Eternal Sanctum had so much going on, that nobody noticed Arthur still kneeling. Or perhaps, they just pretended not to notice him.

Liliana patted his shoulder lightly and said, "Stand up. Are you going to show this sight to our children?"

Arthur stayed still for a moment before standing up. Closing his eyes, he asked, "I thought you hated me?"

"I can never hate you," Liliana muttered. Turning towards Xiu as she continued. "She's grown up, huh. I still can't believe it."

"Ironic how responsibilities matured someone like her," Arthur replied, his lips tugging upwards in a faint smile as he looked at Xiu. "Still, she's my younger sister."

"She didn't even look at you," Liliana said, her monotonous voice unchanging.

Arthur seemed used to it, as he replied, "She's avoiding me. That's fine, because I don't think I can face her."

His eyes glanced toward the entrance as he said, "I'm more concerned about what mission Father gave to her. Hope she doesn't mess this up."

"Never losing your habits. But I guess I shouldn't expect anything else," Liliana sighed, before asking, "You really don't know?"

"Know what? I came straight here from the Hollow Mountains," Arthur said, confused.

"Then you're in for a surprise," Liliana said, smiling faintly. "She got her mission from Aegon, not Father, so she won't mess it up."

Arthur stared deeply at Xiu before smiling again, though this time it was more bitter, "She's a better parent than us."

"I suppose," Liliana muttered softly.

Right at that moment, Xiu cleared her throat and said, her voice echoing through the Eternal Sanctum, "Please welcome the Royal Elf Family, who are here as guests of my precious baby."

"She didn't grow up one bit," Arthur couldn't help but chuckle.

"I guess only your sister can make you smile now," Liliana said, tapping his shoulder gently. "I'm glad for you."

"This stage isn't ours," Arthur said quietly. "Let's just sit back and cheer for our child."

With that, they disappeared from their position, taking their already designated seats. Well, Liliana was seated beside the High Dukes simply because of her contributions.

On Xiu's announcement, Amon clicked his fingers as the entrance shifted, revealing a vast, clear view of the Twilight sky.

For a moment, everything was silent, as all eyes from all over the Empire remained stuck there, waiting to see whether the rumors were true or not.

SKREEEEEECHHH

A terrifying roar shattered the silence as a majestic creature clad in dense red scales came into view from the clouds. The giant, monstrous creature roared again as its massive head dived down toward the God's Hand.

Hearts shook at the sight. Eyes trembled in shock and primal fear. Even the Dukes gripped their seats tightly, looking at the creature with tense expressions.

It didn't end there. Another similar creature with deep crimson scales filled their vision. This one was even bigger and mightier than the previous.

Reptilian eyes sent shivers down everyone's spine; many in the remote viewing areas even pissed themselves seeing the ruler of the sky for the first time.

Dragons!

The legendary creatures rarely seen in decades.

Now there were two of them, getting bigger and bigger as their malevolent presence pressed down on everyone. Those who once wished to see them now prayed the creatures wouldn't look in their direction.

The terror these beings created with just their presence showed their true majesty.

They were rulers of Heaven and Earth for a reason.

No one spoke.

They couldn't speak even if they wanted to. Their voices seemed to have vanished, so all they could do was watch and wait, letting the dragons do whatever they wanted.

Only a few people weren't deeply affected by such a display.

Samuel gave a side glance to Arnold and asked through mental communication, 'Was this his plan?'

'Yes. He said the best way to protect someone is to crush your enemy's spirit before they can even do anything,' Arnold replied with a proud smile.

'He is right,' Samuel responded with a troubled smile. 'But this creates complications.'

'Not much. Valerians are known for their neutrality, and what he's doing is simply creating peace between two races. He can even use this to solve our conflict with the Northern Tribes.'

'Let's think about it later,' Samuel said, looking back at the dragons.

The dragons weren't alone. The Dragon Riders of House Valeria mounted on their backs guided them toward the God's Hand with precise control.

In their center, a green carriage soared, matching their pace perfectly. Four white beasts with long wings pulled the carriage, bringing the distant guests to their destination.

Under everyone's stunned gazes, the larger crimson dragon landed on the side of the Hand's middle finger, its giant head covering the whole entrance.

Its breath turned the Sanctum hot, its low gurgles filling the atmosphere as it lowered its head, allowing its Dragon Rider to dismount.

The Dragon Rider was a tall, slender man with a dragon crest etched between his eyebrows. He carried himself with absolute confidence, his steps unhurried as his red robes fluttered like a battle shroud.

By then, Aegon had already walked beside Xiu, watching the entire spectacle with her. This wasn't the first time he saw a dragon, but it still amazed him how majestic these creatures were and how powerful their riders could be.

He recognized the man, so he smiled at him and said, "Glad to see you again, Uncle Rovan."

Rovan smiled as well, stopping before him and dropping to one knee, his head lowered. "This humble one greets the Young Master."

"Rise," Aegon said, still struggling to get used to being called Young Master. But he couldn't refuse the respect either. "Thank you for agreeing with my impulsive demands."

"It is your House, Young Master. You are its heir, so your wishes are our commands," Rovan shook his head firmly. "And you don't know how many of them were eager to come here. Only two dragons are nothing. If you demanded, the whole House would be here."

"There's no need for that," Aegon hurriedly denied, sweat forming on his forehead.

If the whole House Valeria really assembled here, the entire world would probably unite to fight them out of sheer terror. Only someone who had visited House Valeria would know their true strength.

"As you wish," Rovan said, turning around. "Vhagar was missing you too."
