Then her gaze shifted towards the crimson-eyed woman beside him as she said, her voice turning soft, "Lady Liliana. Forgive me for not greeting you that day."

"It's fine, Hecte," Liliana waved her hand. "I'm just glad to see you after all this time."

"Likewise."

"Woah! Woah!" Aegon exclaimed. "Since when did you become so soft towards others, Hecte?"

He was genuinely surprised, as Hecte didn't care about anyone else other than him, Xiu, and Arnold. She even gave cold shoulders to his friends, though she did say she would save them because of him.

"Lady Liliana is very kind towards Chief and is a big sister figure to her. Chief also respects her greatly, so it's only natural I give her respect too," Hecte replied.

"There's more at play here, isn't there?" Aegon narrowed his eyes at the giant shadow. "Out with it."

"It's nothing, Aegon. It just so happens that I also trained them," Liliana giggled and said. "Back then, Xiu brought them as kids who were ruthless and determined, but clumsy."
