Yao Qingxue's eyelids twitched.

A soft whimper escaped her lips, followed by a furrowed brow as she slowly opened her eyes.

She saw Wu Liang sitting on the floor, pulling tissues from his pocket to stop his nosebleed. [Pioneer] showed a look of utter desolation, while Ah Yimu was standing nearby, her face filled with anxiety and anticipation.

Her eyes were like a calm pool, seemingly capable of dragging everyone into the depths without rescue.

Ah Yimu suddenly felt her breath almost stopping, not daring to make a sound.

"Seems like the modification wasn't thorough at all... Why does Mom look like she wants to eat people now?"

Wu Liang, with two tissues stuffed up his nostrils, stood up, realizing something was off the moment Yao Qingxue opened her eyes.

Although the Cursed Ruby had been erased, its consequences seemed not entirely lifted; Yao Qingxue still appeared to be in a state of amnesia!

Just as he was about to be shredded by the space, Wu Liang pulled him up.

"Nightmare! Help calm Mom down!"

Wu Liang urged Nightmare to merge with him, switching into Spiritual Body mode intending to enter Yao Qingxue's mind.

But before he could act, Mom stepped to him ahead.

She casually remarked, "Did you do anything just now? No?"

As soon as she spoke, Wu Liang noticed the Nightmare that had merged with him was mysteriously outside, emerging confusedly from the mask.

It seemed bewildered.

Wasn't it merged with the Boss just now?

With that, he lunged his head toward the nearby dark space crack.

Just like he had mentioned before—this shell only contained a Consciousness Fragment, dead or alive, he wouldn't mind.

Moreover, Wu Liang kept preventing his suicide, surely harboring other plans, which always gave [Pioneer] an impression his main body might suffer losses in the future.

And [Pioneer] crashed onto the ground again, his face filled with regret.

What a pity; he was only a step away from suicide.

"Phew... He's right, Mom, you indeed don't have any illusion technique abilities; you possess something far more terrifying—time!"

Wu Liang panted heavily, recalling what he saw inside the cave using the Ghost Compendium where Yao Qingxue utilized her precognition ability.

Coupled with the different time flows within the cave, Taohua Village outside, and the Tianshan Mountain Range.

He came to a highly absurd conclusion.

Perhaps Mom not only "sees" the future but can also "fast forward" and "rewind"!

It wasn't an illusion just now, nor was the merger process interrupted; rather, Yao Qingxue pushed time backwards to before the merge with just one sentence, making it so the merger never took place!

Thus Nightmare reappeared from the mask!

Thinking this, Wu Liang helplessly looked at [Pioneer] and said, "Now I'm even more curious about what exactly happened back then; how did my Mom get her abilities sealed and put to sleep by you?"
