Transmigrator's Guide to Conquering Another World

Chapter 265: Three Things About the Tui Bei Tu

"What, Teacher Mingmou has already started mastering the Great Deduction Technique?"

Upon hearing Zhang Guanghua's report, Lin Li was taken aback, but then couldn't help but smile with joy.

Mingmou, a well-known online writer and licensing mogul, enjoys a happy and harmonious family life.

At the same time, he is the first person in a macroscopic concept on the native side deemed to have a unique Spiritual Root aptitude.

However, Mingmou's single Spiritual Root is somewhat special, having mutated into a black and white dual color, and lacking much actual combat power.

Its only function is to cultivate the prophetic Cultivation Technique of the Great Deduction Technique.

But even though Teacher Mingmou might be a rookie in terms of combat power, it does not mean he is an insignificant little nobody.

On the contrary, the command is actually holding great expectations for Teacher Mingmou.

After all, prophecy has always been a mysterious domain in the native world, sometimes real, sometimes false, no one can say for sure.

For example, within Huaxia civilization, there are the famous prophetic arts of Fu Xi and Emperor Jun, and the mysterious Push Back Diagram... ahem, I mean, the Pushback Diagram.

Especially the latter.

The Pushback Diagram, as an ancient book spanning a thousand years, has strangely mirrored many significant modern historical events.

The background for the Pushback Diagram's creation stems from Emperor Taizong of Tang's curiosity about the kingdom's fate.

After ascending the throne, Li Shimin wanted to know how long the Tang Dynasty could last, so he asked the renowned Feng Shui masters Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng to deduce the kingdom's destiny.

Yuan Tiangang initially refused the task, citing potential punishment for revealing heavenly secrets, but Li Shimin took the two of them to a high tower and said:

"This matter is known only by the heavens, you, and me; you may speak now."

Tiangang could not refuse any longer, so he began deducing the Great Tang's fate for Li Shimin.

The result was that once he started, he couldn't stop, and he deduced all the way two thousand years into the future.

Seeing that he had revealed too many heavenly secrets, Li Chunfeng gently pushed him from behind and said:

"Too much, too much, no end in sight, better to push back and rest."

Only then did Yuan Tiangang stop, and thus this book of prophecy was named "Pushback Diagram."

The birth of this book can be traced largely along these lines, without too much embellishment in the process.

After all, doing something like this is quite easy; you could reinstate this scene with just three random people.

In other words, history records Li Shimin indeed sought prophecy from Yuan Tiangang and others, but whether Yuan Tiangang had such ability is another matter.

The Pushback Diagram predicted many events, some "predictions" seem to have been altered by later generations, but some predictions really did happen — otherwise, it wouldn't have so many believers.

Take for example the Third Symbol of the Pushback Diagram.

The prophecy of the Third Symbol is:

"Sun and moon in the sky, shining on the earth. Mysterious and confusing, neither script nor martial."

After becoming the empress, Wu Zetian created many characters and even changed her name to "Wu Zhao."

The phrase "sun and moon in the sky" in the prophecy perfectly matches the word "Zhao" of Wu Zetian.

This is a historically verified event, although one explanation suggests Wu Zetian deliberately imposed 'divine mandate' onto herself.

Objectively speaking, this theory could be possible, as executing such a plan is not difficult.

However, the fifth symbol with solid evidence isn't as easily described as happenstance.

The prophecy of the fifth symbol in the Pushback Diagram is:

"Willow flowers fly, Shu Dao is difficult. Once the bamboo flute is broken, the sun will appear, and peace will follow."

This symbol predicted the An Lushan Rebellion and the consequent fate of Lady Yang during the Mawei incident.

Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, lost in Lady Yang's beauty, indulged in pleasures daily, resulting in internal courtiers becoming corrupt and external Jiedu Envoys growing ambitious.

Later, An Lushan and Shi Siming revolted, and Emperor Xuanzong fled towards Sichuan with Lady Yang.

During the escape, the soldiers mutinied, demanding the execution of the "main culprit" Lady Yang.

Emperor Xuanzong, having no choice, bestowed Lady Yang with a silk ribbon to take her own life.

Moreover, the ode of the fifth symbol:

"The drums of Yuyang pass through Tongguan, today the emperor seeks refuge on Sword Mountain. If Mu Yi meets ghosts under the mountain, there shall Lady Yang be buried." specifically pointed out Lady Yang's identity and her burial place.

Of course.

Some believe the so-called Pushback Diagram is merely a forgery by later generations borrowing the names of ancients to deceive the public, unworthy of trust.

For example, many scholars who studied the Pushback Diagram confidently claimed the world would end in 2012 — and then what?

It's now ten years later, and the apocalypse hasn't arrived.

So many people hold onto this point to criticize, asserting that the Pushback Diagram is false, fabricated in the 90s.

However, in truth, the Shanghai Wen Wei Po published the Pushback Diagram in 1895, and it was even translated into English.

This version is preserved in the Hong Kong University Library, and the University of California also holds it (I, the author, once saw an original 1918 edition in the National Library of the so-called Land of Kangaroos).

Even the currently most widely circulated domestic version was compiled by Qingxi Sanren in 1915 titled "Seven Prophecies of China," also known as "Prophecies Two Thousand Years Ago in China," and published by Jinsubooks.

Especially from the publication in 1915 to today, almost 100 years, indeed four to five significant events recorded in the book have occurred, noticeably more than the unfulfilled predictions.

For instance, the neon defeat of the thirty-ninth symbol and the seven-x incident, which are things Qingxi Sanren could not have predicted.

So, claiming that the Pushback Diagram is a book deliberately fabricated in recent years to instill so-called national confidence does not seem credible either.

Currently, the Pushback Diagram has fulfilled at most 41 major events, with at least 17 events remaining unfulfilled.

By the way.

There is a relatively widespread perspective that we are situated between the forty-third and forty-fifth symbols, which is rather intriguing.

If things are like this on the native side, then not to mention the Damo Realm, a world with supernatural powers.

Coupled with the previously discovered stone carvings suggesting a prophetic nature, the command places great importance on Mingmou's cultivation.

If Mingmou can reach a relatively profound level in the art of deduction, he might even provide mysterious side benefactions to the native realm.

However, the Great Deduction Technique differs from other cultivation techniques; its practice relies entirely on comprehension without a specific progress bar.

It's like when a teacher gives you a bunch of math problems to work out on your own — you either get it or you don't.

Therefore, the command has always been patient with Teacher Mingmou and has not put undue pressure on him.

In contrast, other pigeon spirits who came to the Damo Realm with Teacher Mingmou are now pulling their hair out, trying to write.

Returning to the shooting range.

Knowing that Mingmou has made progress in the Great Deduction Technique, Lin Li was not complacent.

After briefly coordinating the process with Tang Pin and others, he immediately brought Zhang Guanghua and others back to the camp.

Note:

If you're interested in the Pushback Diagram, you might want to explore it, it's quite interesting.

Additionally, some students have reported that there are fewer videos available to earn Qidian coins recently, is that the case for everyone?

This chapter is relatively short, mainly to check everyone's subscription feedback. If it's indeed decreased, I might as well write 2,000-word chapters and aim for three or four updates instead.
