My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 151 Baby Early Education Class

Wang Lu was now more than six months pregnant and looked much rounder than before.

Xiao Wen had also grown much taller and was more mischievous than ever. No one at home could control him, but it became clear after their interaction today that he was actually afraid of Lin Feng.

Perhaps it was because at the amusement park, Xiao Wen had pushed a little girl. Lin Feng, with a stern face, made him apologize and scared him into tears.

What? Lin Feng was bewildered.

"Don't go back tonight. Let's all have dinner together," Lin Jiajun said with a smile. "I haven't seen you guys for several months."

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi were using wet wipes to clean the babies' faces and hands. It was crucial to clean their hands after leaving the amusement park to prevent them from ingesting any bacteria.

He casually asked, "What should we eat?"

"Anything is fine. What do you feel like having?"

Lin Feng thought for a moment. "Let's eat at home. The babies will need to sleep soon. If we eat out, they'll have nowhere to sleep."

The babies had played for so long today; they were bound to fall asleep from exhaustion. He wanted them to have a comfortable and sound sleep.

"Alright, then we'll go to your place," Lin Jiajun said. He turned to Zhou Cuilan and said, "Auntie, no need to cook. I'll have them bring food over."

Zhou Cuilan smiled. "In that case, I'll cook some porridge. If you drink, you can have some to warm your stomach."

"That would be lovely. Thank you, Auntie."

He's getting more and more polite. Zhou Cuilan thought to herself.

Indeed, once they were back home, the babies started to get drowsy.

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi went upstairs. "Mom, Yu Xi and I are going to put the kids to bed."

"Go ahead," Zhou Cuilan said with a smile. "I'll take good care of Han Wen."

Han Wen replied, "Auntie, you don't need to fuss over me. I'll make myself right at home."

Zhou Cuilan was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but laugh. "Then feel free. I'm going to cook some cured meat I made for the New Year, along with some fish and ribs."

Han Wen's eyes lit up. "Auntie, you're the best."

She followed Zhou Cuilan, chattering, "My family made some too, but my mom's cooking isn't great, and she won't let us say anything about it." As Zhou Cuilan took out the meat, Han Wen asked, "Huh, why is it this color?"

"This one has been smoked; it's a local specialty. I have an unsmoked one too. I'll cook both for you."

"Thank you, Auntie!" Han Wen said sweetly.

Having no daughters of her own, Zhou Cuilan was particularly fond of sweet and well-behaved young girls. Even among her own grandchildren, she was more fond of the second and third babies.

In the kitchen, Han Wen lent a hand and chatted with Zhou Cuilan. During their conversation, she learned about the Lin Family's struggles, which sounded like something out of a novel.

Upstairs, Lin Feng helped the babies pee, then changed them into fresh diapers. Once he placed them in their cribs, they began to sleep soundly. With the babies asleep, Lin Feng finally had time to ask Zhang Yuxi about Tang Xiufen.

Zhang Yuxi recounted the events of the day to Lin Feng.

"I really didn't expect that Teacher Tang's husband would do such a thing," she said, sighing.

Lin Feng, however, had seen it coming. "I've seen Teacher Tang and her husband at the school a few times. It was clear they were only staying together for appearances. It was only a matter of time before their marriage fell apart!"

Hearing this, Zhang Yuxi shook her head and couldn't help but let out another sigh.

* * *

Lin Feng placed blankets and pillows in the cribs to prevent the babies from rolling over and falling out when no adults were around. None of the furniture in the room had been baby-proofed. He slapped his forehead, realizing he had forgotten about it.

"Honey, watch the babies for me. I'm going to the nearby supermarket to buy something."

"What are you buying?"

"Edge guards for the furniture."

"Okay."

Lin Feng went downstairs and saw Han Wen happily slicing sausages, both spicy and sweet varieties. On a plate beside her were slices of pig's ear, pig's tail, and pig's feet, as well as chicken gizzards, chicken feet, and chicken wings. It was an ample spread, enough for two people.

Seeing Lin Feng come down, Han Wen felt a bit embarrassed. "Um... do you want some?"

Lin Feng smiled. "No, thank you. Mom, I'm off to the supermarket to buy a few things."

"Are you buying alcohol?"

"No need. We have white liquor, beer, and red wine at home."

After Lin Feng's explanation, Zhou Cuilan understood. "Alright. If the supermarket doesn't have what you're looking for, there's a baby store nearby you can check."

"Got it."

Lin Feng unlocked a shared bike and rode to the supermarket. They didn't have any, and neither did the baby store. Left with no other choice, he ordered from his phone, choosing a local supermarket that offered same-day delivery. The seller promised the items would arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.

On his way back, Lin Feng saw people handing out flyers and small toys.

A staff member was calling out, "Try a baby's early education class for just 19.9 yuan! Suitable for babies from one month to three years old!"

"Only 19.9 yuan for a trial class!"

"Ma'am, would you like to bring your grandchild for a trial? It's very affordable, just 19.9 yuan. Not even twenty bucks!"

"Hey, little friend, want to come play? There are lots of other kids inside!"

Lin Feng pulled his bike over to the side.

A staff member hurried over. "Excuse me, sir, would you like to learn more?"

Lin Feng took the flyer. It prominently advertised early education for babies aged one month to three years. The program offered a variety of activities, including games, singing, dancing, and learning about objects. The pictures of the classroom environment looked quite decent.

The young woman handing out flyers came over. "How old is your little one?"

Lin Feng snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh, my baby is almost nine months old."

"Oh, then they must be starting to walk and talk, right?"

A smile naturally appeared on his face as he talked about his babies. "Yes, they've started walking a little. They can say 'Mama' and 'Dada,' and a few simple words to express what they want."

The eldest, in particular, could walk a short distance on his own by holding onto things. The second was a little behind, but he could walk too. The third and fourth were also trying, to varying degrees. It was an instinct; they were filled with a desire to explore walking. Lin Feng had consulted their pediatrician, who confirmed it was normal for babies to try walking at nine months. Some early walkers were already on their feet by ten months. He planned to buy walkers for them after the May Day holiday.

"I see! In that case, your baby can definitely join our early education class. For babies from one to six months, we focus on sensory education. At this stage, we stimulate the brain's neural development and improve crawling ability, which lays a solid foundation for their IQ and EQ."

"From six to twelve months, we concentrate on developing auditory and language skills. We teach the babies how to communicate with others and strengthen their hand-eye coordination through games. This promotes the development of their senses and helps them learn to express their emotions."

"By twelve to twenty-four months, babies have a certain level of mobility. In this stage, our classes use game-based training to enhance their physical abilities and expand their cognitive skills."

Another staff member came over. "These days, parents dote on their babies, but they also have higher expectations for them. Our early education class is actually more like a nursery. We play with the babies, helping them to understand themselves and discover their interests. Of course," he added with a friendly tone, "we don't advocate for pushing education too early. Most of our activities are play-based, not formal lessons, so you can rest assured, sir."

Truthfully, everyone knew the deal. Parents rarely enrolled babies under six months in these classes, unless they were wealthy and had high hopes for their child from birth. For babies older than six months, it was mostly about letting them play with their peers. Many parents also used the center as a daycare after their babies were weaned.

Lin Feng believed his babies would enjoy playing with their peers. "Can parents stay with their children?"

The staff member smiled. "Yes, parents can join. Many of our activities are parent-child games that require your participation. But if you don't have time, that's fine too. You can leave your babies with us, rest assured. Our classrooms have 360-degree surveillance, so you can check in on them anytime on your phone."

Lin Feng thought for a moment and decided to take the babies for a trial lesson. He figured it would be a good chance for them to play with other kids.

"Do I scan a code here?" he asked.

"Yes. Let me get you a receipt. Could you tell me your name and phone number, please?"

Lin Feng scanned the payment code and transferred eighty yuan.

"Sir, you've paid the wrong amount," the staff member said, surprised. "It's 19.9 yuan per class."

Lin Feng smiled. "I know, but my situation is special. I have quadruplets."

The staff members were stunned. This dad isn't just handsome, he's also remarkably young! And... so fertile! They were green with envy.

"We have two trial classes tomorrow," one recovered enough to say. "Would you prefer the morning or the afternoon session?"

"The afternoon, please."

"Okay, then please come by from 4:30 to 5:30 PM."

"Great."

"We look forward to seeing you and your four babies!"

Lin Feng smiled, got on his bike, and rode away.

A female staff member lamented to her colleague, Does everyone get married so young these days? I thought he might be signing up his nephew, but it turns out he's already a father! A father of four! I'm so envious!
