My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 228: Visiting a Classmate's Home

As they left the classroom, each of the toddlers said goodbye to their teacher.

As soon as everyone had left, Teacher An began to clean up. Teacher Wang came in to ask how things went.

"Teacher An, how are the quadruplets doing?"

"They're all very intelligent, far surpassing their peers!" Teacher An couldn't help but sigh. "And their father is incredibly handsome and so gentle. You should have seen the way he looked at the babies, it was just… so full of love!"

Teacher Wang felt a pang of envy. "Ah, all the good men get married young. What a shame."

Most of the people who bring their children to these early education classes are mothers and grandparents. The fathers are usually just chauffeurs, dropping them off and picking them up. They either don't participate at all or just sit outside playing on their phones, let alone being full-time caregivers.

"If he weren't married, I'd totally go after him," Teacher An added. "I'd be willing even with the kids."

The next class was hers, so Teacher Wang sat down. "His wife is as beautiful as a fairy. You can stop dreaming."

Teacher An walked out, filled with regret and dejection. In her memory, Zhang Yuxi was also a great mom. Oh well, I wish their family the best.

The babies were overjoyed on the way home. The moment they arrived, they pulled Zhang Yuxi into the learning area. This was an area where they could read stories, look at picture books, draw, and do arts and crafts.

Zhang Yuxi sat down and asked with a smile, "What is it? What do you want to play with Mommy?"

Er Bao gestured excitedly as he spoke. "Today, today we drew! We all got to go up!"

Zhang Yuxi immediately showered him with praise. "Wow, that's amazing! Did San Bao get to go up too?"

San Bao nodded her head.

Zhang Yuxi cupped her daughter's little face and gave her a big kiss. "San Bao is awesome!"

While Lin Feng was cooking in the kitchen, Zhang Yuxi and the babies played a Pictionary-style game. The children's imaginations were boundless, but Zhang Yuxi's answers weren't even in the ballpark. In the end, the babies unanimously declared she was a dummy.

"Dinner's ready," Lin Feng called out from the kitchen.

Zhang Yuxi took the babies to wash their hands for dinner. When they came out, they gathered around Lin Feng one after another to tattle on her.

"Daddy, Mommy's so silly. She didn't even know what Si Bao was drawing!"

"Er Bao drew a chubby guy, and Mommy couldn't guess that either!"

Lin Feng raised an eyebrow, casting a sympathetic glance at Zhang Yuxi. She looked helpless. She really had tried her best.

Lin Feng used food to shut the little tattletales' mouths, fearing that if they continued, Zhang Yuxi would only feel worse. As expected, the babies' words had left Zhang Yuxi a bit upset.

After the babies were asleep, Zhang Yuxi turned over and wrapped her arms around Lin Feng's waist, murmuring, "Honey, I think the babies are tired of me…"

Lin Feng chuckled. "They're just kids. It's just innocent talk from children, don't take it to heart."

She understood the reasoning, but she still felt upset! Zhang Yuxi lifted her head with a wronged expression and whined playfully, "Then, honey, you have to comfort me!"

Lin Feng looked at her. "You are the most beautiful, the cutest, and the smartest wife. Our babies are too young right now to know how outstanding their mother is. When they grow up, they'll definitely be proud to have a mom like you. Believe me."

As he spoke, Lin Feng leaned in and proceeded to comfort Zhang Yuxi quite thoroughly with his actions...

...

After signing up for the early education class, the babies were filled with anticipation for their afternoon activities every day. The changes in them were obvious, especially for San Bao, who became much more outgoing.

About two weeks later, on a Friday, a little boy named Jiang Chenchen scampered over to them. He got along very well with Da Bao, Er Bao, and Si Bao. They would often share toys and play together.

"Da Bao, I have a super huge Transformer at home."

Da Bao asked curiously, "How big is it?"

"Super, super big..." Jiang Chenchen gestured. "This tall!"

Da Bao's eyes lit up. "Wow!"

Jiang Chenchen then said to Si Bao, "There's also a really big Ultraman Tiga."

Si Bao was skeptical. "Really? Is it that, that big?"

Jiang Chenchen nodded. "Yes, it is!"

Si Bao looked at Lin Feng with longing eyes. "Daddy, I want a big Ultraman Tiga like that!"

"Come to my house, I'll show you!" Jiang Chenchen said, tugging on Si Bao's arm.

Si Bao bobbed his little head frantically. "Okay, okay!"

"You come too," Jiang Chenchen said to Da Bao. "We can all play with the Transformers, okay?"

"What about me, what about me?" Er Bao asked.

Jiang Chenchen looked at Er Bao and San Bao. "You all should come! My house has lots and lots of toys!"

Turning around, Jiang Chenchen tugged on his dad's hand and asked, "Daddy, can Da Bao and the others come over to our house to play? Is that okay?"

It was Jiang Chenchen's dad who had picked him up today. Not only was his father surprised, but Lin Feng was also taken aback.

Jiang Chenchen's dad paused for a second and then smiled. "Sure!"

The children joined hands, their faces full of excitement and anticipation.

Lin Feng spoke with a hint of apology. "Sorry to trouble you."

"Mr. Lin, you're being too formal," Jiang Chenchen's dad said, looking a little embarrassed himself. He called his wife, telling her to prepare a few extra dishes because their son was bringing friends over.

In the car, Lin Feng called Zhang Yuxi.

"One of the kids' classmates invited them over to his house. We'll be back after dinner, so you can just get some takeout. If you don't want takeout, just hang on and I'll cook for you when I get home."

"I'm not that delicate," Zhang Yuxi laughed. "I'll just grab something to eat out. Have fun with the kids."

Jiang Chenchen's dad led the way on a small electric scooter. They arrived at Jiang Chenchen's home about twenty minutes later. There was a small supermarket near the entrance to the residential complex. After parking, Lin Feng went into the supermarket and bought two cases of milk and a carton of cigarettes.

Jiang Chenchen's dad tried to stop him. "There's no need to buy gifts just for a visit! That's too formal!"

Lin Feng smiled faintly. "I'd feel awkward showing up empty-handed. Besides... Mr. Jiang, could you watch the kids?"

This was an old neighborhood with no surveillance cameras, and he was worried about the kids playing outside the supermarket by themselves.

Only then did Jiang Chenchen's dad remember the children were still outside and hurried to look after them. "Mr. Lin, you really don't need to buy anything!"

Lin Feng scanned the QR code and paid. Seeing that Lin Feng had already made the purchase, Jiang Chenchen's dad didn't know what to say for a moment.

The building was in an old residential complex without an elevator, much like the one Zhang Yuxi used to live in. The stairwells were unlit, and the handrails were made of old wood.

"Here we are. The place is a bit humble, so please don't mind," he said.

Opening the door revealed an entryway cluttered with shoes. Summer sandals and fuzzy winter slippers were all lined up. On top of the shoe cabinet sat a woman's handbag, a set of keys, and an umbrella.

Jiang Chenchen's dad pulled a new pair of men's sandals out from a small side room. "Mr. Lin, these are new. Please wear them."

"Thank you," Lin Feng said.

After changing into his own slippers, Jiang Chenchen called out, "Come and see the toys!"

The quadruplets hesitated for a moment.

Lin Feng smiled. "There aren't any more slippers, so you can just go play."

The kids joyfully exclaimed and followed Jiang Chenchen to the living room.

As the host, Jiang Chenchen's dad seemed a bit reserved. "Sorry, the house is a bit messy. Please don't mind."
