My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 416: The Man Favored by Time

After Erbao finished her bath, Lin Feng dried his hands and began to blow-dry her hair. Erbao's hair was thick and curly, making it tough to manage. Lin Feng always styled it beautifully for her, so she never had to worry about it.

"Daddy, why do I have so much hair?"

Lin Feng smiled. "Isn't having a lot of hair a good thing? It means you're strong and healthy! Nowadays, plenty of people wish they had more hair."

Erbao covered her mouth and giggled. "Haha, I heard Uncle Liu Bo say he's going bald."

"Going bald... does that mean all his hair is going to fall out?"

Lin Feng nodded. "Mhm, he's definitely getting there."

After getting married, Liu Bo's hair loss became much more apparent. He was very anxious and stressed about it, and the more stressed he got, the more hair he lost.

"Daddy, will you lose your hair?"

"Hmm, probably. But Daddy is healthy, so my hair loss is very slow."

After her hair was blow-dried, it puffed out like an explosion. Lin Feng wove it into two pigtail braids and put a clip in her hair.

Erbao preened in front of the mirror, looking from side to side. "I'm so beautiful!"

"Thank you, Daddy!"

"You're welcome. I'm going to check on Sibao and Dabao and see why they haven't come out yet."

As soon as he entered the bathroom—wow, a water fight! This is getting out of hand!

Lin Feng put on a stern face. "Alright, that's enough. Everybody out. Daddy will dry you off."

The bathroom heater was on, making the room very warm. It was no wonder they had been playing for so long. Lin Feng got them into their pajamas and dried their hair.

"Alright, Daddy is going back to cook now," he said. "You guys hurry up with your homework. Erbao and Sanbao have already finished theirs."

The sports meet was on Friday, continuing through Saturday and Sunday.

"Okay!"

After they started elementary school, Lin Feng had put a desk in each of their rooms. Erbao and Sanbao were already finished with their homework. One was practicing music while the other worked on arts and crafts; they would only come out when it was time to eat. Compared to these two well-behaved children, Dabao and Sibao usually played first and did their homework later.

Lin Feng had no intention of tutoring them. He wanted them to learn to complete their assignments on their own. They had been getting homework since kindergarten, so they had gradually developed the habit of doing it independently.

Peeking out from the kitchen, Lin Feng saw Dabao and Sibao playing a game of Transformers versus Ultraman. Erbao's Barbie doll had apparently been enlisted as a cheerleader.

Lin Feng sighed. "Alright, everyone upstairs to do your homework now. Come down for dinner when you're finished."

Dabao and Sibao scampered upstairs.

Lin Feng called Zhang Yuxi. "Honey, are you coming home tonight?"

"I'm almost home!"

After dinner, the kids went about their evening activities—taekwondo practice, crafting, and playing music. During this time, Erbao had created quite a few new pieces. There was a delicate, water-drop-shaped emerald pendant, as tiny as a mung bean with a small diamond set beneath it. She also made a cute little bracelet strung with pearls of various colors. She made all sorts of things, like a princess's crown and a matching handbag. She even made a hairpin out of yarn and a brooch out of feathers.

Gradually, Erbao's imagination began to run wild on her creative path. Perhaps it was a matter of supply and demand, because every time she released a new creation, it sold out in a flash. The Princess series released by Erbao was the most sought-after and was greatly admired by her peers.

Sanbao's fame had already spread throughout his school. At only six years old, he had already participated in dozens of performances, both large and small.

In short, the quads were all very popular at school.

When Zhang Yuxi got home, she asked, "Are the kids upstairs doing homework?"

"Mhm. Honey, could you call them down for dinner?"

This time, their only homework was one worksheet each for Chinese and math.

As soon as Zhang Yuxi entered their room, Sibao and Dabao hurriedly quieted down.

"What were you two talking about?" she asked. Walking over, she glanced at their work, and her eyelid twitched.

"Sibao, can you please write properly? Your handwriting is almost like cursive script."

"Mom, what's cursive script?"

Zhang Yuxi took his pen and scribbled on a piece of paper. "This is."

Sibao was speechless.

Zhang Yuxi sighed. "Son, your handwriting is too messy. Your teacher and your classmates won't be able to read what you've written!" She was so annoyed she wanted to make him rewrite the whole thing. "This is the last time I'm warning you. If I see your handwriting all over the place like this again, you're rewriting it!"

Only then did Sibao remember. Oh, right. Mom is a teacher, too!

Dabao's homework was fine. His handwriting was very neat, which pleased Zhang Yuxi.

"Are you two finished? Let's go down for dinner. Dad has already cooked!"

"Yay! Dad's the best!" WHOOSH. The two boys bolted off to find food.

Zhang Yuxi went to Erbao's room next. Ever since Erbao became the arts and literature representative, she'd been taking her role very seriously. As the representative, she naturally had to set a good example. Her homework had to be good, her handwriting had to be beautiful, and she had to become a diligent little girl. Erbao was working on making these changes one by one.

"Erbao, are you finished?"

Erbao said she was, adding, "Mom, homework is so boring!"

Zhang Yuxi said plainly, "Dinner's ready."

Erbao cheered. "Awesome!"

In the room the two of them shared, Sanbao managed to keep his little space neat and tidy. Erbao's side, in contrast, was an unbearable mess. Zhang Yuxi had been worried that Sanbao would be influenced by her. However, after all this time, he remained unaffected. In fact, he often tidied up after his older sister! Sigh...

Dabao and Sibao had huge appetites. The sports meet earlier that day had really tired them out. After they ate, Zhang Yuxi washed the dishes while Lin Feng took the kids out to walk Dabai and help them digest their big meal.

「In the blink of an eye, the long vacation began.」

Since Miao Lang had to go abroad, their planned trip to Modu was changed to Sanya instead. Lin Feng went to the supermarket and bought each of the quads their own small rolling suitcase. When he got back, he had the children pack their own clothes for the trip.

That's parenting for you, he thought. You want your children to be independent, but at the same time, you want them to rely on you a little more. It's such a contradiction.

Their flight was for a little after eight the next morning, so they would have to leave at six. After finishing their packing, the family went to bed early.

They arrived in Sanya just in time for lunch, which they ate at a restaurant. Afterwards, they all took a nap and felt much more refreshed.

The two boys, Dabao and Sibao, shared one room, while Erbao and Sanbao stayed in another.

"Make sure you unpack and put everything away neatly!" Lin Feng called out. "Then we'll go for a walk on the beach."

Zhang Yuxi had brought wide-brimmed sun hats for Erbao and Sanbao, while the boys wore baseball caps. She had also brought children's sunscreen. Their skin is so delicate. What if they get sunburned, especially my little girl?

"Honey, your skin is so good!" Zhang Yuxi said, her voice full of undisguised envy. "I've never seen you use any skincare products, yet you haven't changed a bit in all these years."

They had been together for more than six years now, and it seemed this man was truly favored by time. He hadn't changed at all. Meanwhile, her own skin had started to feel rough, and fine lines were beginning to appear under her eyes. It really proved the old saying true: once a woman hits thirty, her body begins to age rapidly. Her mind and body just couldn't keep up like they used to.

Take An Lan, for example. After having her child, she looked three or four years older, and she wasn't even thirty yet.

Lin Feng, of course, knew the real reason for his youthful appearance, and he could tell Zhang Yuxi was feeling down about the comparison. He pecked her on the cheek and coaxed, "Maybe it's just that men age more slowly."

Zhang Yuxi wasn't convinced. "Nonsense. Look at Liu Bo—he's nearly bald, but you're not."

Lin Feng hugged her. "That's because I exercise regularly... Honey, tell me, how do I put on this sunscreen?"

They had to wait half an hour after applying the sunscreen before they could go outside.

Lin Feng had a service company that came regularly to clean and maintain their beach villa in Sanya. The company knew they were arriving today, so they had already changed the water in the outdoor pool. Since they couldn't go out to the beach yet, the little ones immediately started playing in the villa's swimming pool.

They all knew how to swim. Every summer, Lin Feng would sign them up for swimming lessons to reinforce their muscle memory. Not entirely trusting them on their own, Lin Feng stood by and watched them. Meanwhile, Zhang Yuxi went to change her clothes.
