Lin Feng carried Guo Guo, placed the backpack in the stroller, and the group set off in high spirits.
Guo Guo was very fond of Lin Feng's family. He was always incredibly well-behaved around them.
It was cold outside, and although Guo Guo was potty-trained, he still wore a diaper. Sometimes, he would get so caught up in playing that he'd forget and have an accident. Diapers were a must when going out, as cleaning up wet clothes was a hassle.
Lin Feng held Guo Guo, coaxing him, "Guo Guo, if you need to pee, you have to tell Daddy Lin, okay?"
Guo Guo nodded obediently.
Lin Feng still drove the same car he'd had for nearly seven years. In all that time, it had never given him a single problem. He had no plans to replace it; not because he lacked the money, but simply because he found it comfortable.
The quads, now six years old, no longer needed a child safety seat, so it had been removed to make more space. An Lan and Liu Bo drove their cars as well, forming a small convoy.
When they arrived at their destination, a receptionist greeted them.
Lin Feng handed Guo Guo to An Lan and beckoned for the quads to come over. "Come on, let's go with the nice lady to learn more."
The prices were attractive, and the teachers were professionals, all graduates from major art academies. Some taught part-time, while others had years of teaching experience.
The quads went on a tour with Lin Feng, while Zhang Yuxi and An Lan waited in the lobby.
Guo Guo wanted to run off and play with the quads, so An Lan had to calm him down. Zhang Yuxi remarked, "Guo Guo is getting more and more like you."
The moment An Lan set Guo Guo down, he bolted away, just like the quads always did.
"Brother, brother, sister, sister…"
An Lan hurried after him. "You little rascal, get back here!"
"Whoa, slow down! Be careful not to fall!"
Zhang Yuxi stayed in the lobby, watching their backpack and the stroller. A staff member poured her a cup of hot water and came over to talk, explaining that they accepted children of all ages and offered a wide variety of classes.
After the quads toured the studio, they were clearly unsatisfied with the prospect of drawing eggplants, watermelons, and flowers. The eldest and the fourth child, in particular, were very adamant.
"I want to draw Transformers or Ultraman, not fruit."
The second child pursed her lips. "I want to draw shiny things, like jewelry. I don't want to draw this stuff either!"
The third child didn't say anything; she was fine with whatever they chose.
The teacher tried to reason with them. "Kids, drawing is a process. You have to take it step-by-step. Once you master the basics, you'll be able to draw anything you want later on."
But if children were good at listening to reason, they wouldn't be children.
The second child pursed her lips and remained silent, but her expression said it all.
The third child took Lin Feng's hand and said softly, "Daddy, let's go look somewhere else. If we can't find anything, we can talk about it again."
Only then did the teacher realize these children were different from the others.
Lin Feng had no objections. "Alright, let's check out other places."
Yangcheng was a diverse city, but as Lin Feng scanned through the various art programs, he found that most only taught foundational drawing for beginners. To satisfy his children's wishes, they would probably need to find a place that taught comics or illustration.
Lin Feng always did his best to support his children's interests, hoping they would develop their talents in all areas and unlock their innate potential.
Eventually, they found themselves at a comic club that taught comics and illustration. There were dedicated schools for things like game design or 2D and 3D CG art, but they required computers and only admitted adults.
Lin Feng and his family had gone to great lengths to find this place; it was quite out of the way.
Zhang Yuxi was a little hesitant, but Lin Feng reassured her, "Since we're already here, we might as well take a look."
Looking up, they saw the words "SP Comic Club" on a sign in a second-floor window.
They went up a narrow stairway and turned right, following an arrow on the wall. They pushed open a glass door and entered a room about fifty square meters in size. A quick glance revealed six cubicles, a large conference room, and a bathroom in one corner.
A bell chimed as the door swung open. The busy people inside turned their heads, their young faces—most looking to be around twenty—filled with surprise.
At that moment, a friendly young woman at the reception desk came over to greet them. "Hi, how can I help you?"
