My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 450: 450

Before I knew it, a week had passed.

Second grade was certainly different from first grade, and the children were no longer as listless. San Bao was a class officer, and with her sister as the deputy monitor and her brothers as the monitor and the PE committee member, she managed her duties quite well.

If one could say that the fourth brother, Lin Anan, could get along with all the boys, then San Bao was the girl all the other girls liked and wanted to befriend. She had a wonderful personality, was pretty, and always willing to help. Everyone accepted the tasks she assigned without objection. Occasionally, a few mischievous kids would tease her until they saw her eyes turn red, which always made them feel embarrassed.

「On Teachers' Day」

To celebrate, the Chinese and math teachers gave each student a unit test. After all, what better source of happiness for a teacher than their students' good grades? A bit more homework won't kill them! In the class group chat, the kids sent their blessings through voice messages, expressing their gratitude to the teachers.

During that week, Guo Guo also gradually adapted to school life. She found it interesting, mainly because it was more fun than just playing with her brother Cai Cai. She had so many peers to play with, and the teachers even played games with her! It was a blast! Now, her favorite thing to do was go to school. This made An Lan breathe a sigh of relief.

The days passed, neither too quickly nor too slowly, and before long, it was the end of September. Right before the holiday, the class had a monthly exam, and all the students scored well. As a result, the teachers assigned very little homework for the long break. The kids couldn't have been happier, knowing they could finally play to their heart's content.

For this long holiday, Lin Feng and the children had already made plans to go diving in Sanya.

「The evening before their departure」

Lin Feng received a call from a stranger.

"What's wrong, honey?" Zhang Yuxi asked.

Lin Feng paused before saying, "A sports school in Yangcheng called. They want to meet with me to talk about Lin Anan."

"I'll look them up online!" Zhang Yuxi quickly got up. "I'll check, too."

As parents, they cared deeply about everything concerning their children. The school that had called was comprehensive, covering elementary, middle, and high school, and had sent many of its students to the national teams. The school had also achieved commendable results in various competitions, winning numerous major awards both in China and internationally. It was currently ranked among the top five in the country.

Zhang Yuxi was puzzled. "How did they even learn about our Lin Anan?"

Lin Feng shook his head. "I don't know. We'll find out tomorrow."

Because of this unexpected development, they had to change their travel plans at the last minute. Lin Feng took his wife and children to the school. Even though it was a holiday, one could see children training everywhere.

A female teacher wearing glasses came over with a smile. "You must be Lin Anan's parent, right? This way, please."

Lin Feng met a middle-aged man in sportswear with a whistle around his neck. "Ah, you're here!" he said with a smile. "Take a seat, I'll get you a glass of water!" To the other teacher, he said, "Please take the kids for a tour of the school. I need to talk to this parent."

Zhang Yuxi stood up. "I'll go with the kids for a look."

Once they had left, the man said cheerfully, "Here's the thing. I have a relative whose child goes to the same school as your kids. During a recent family dinner, my relative showed me a video they took on sports day. I've been wanting to contact you, but I never had the chance until now, with the holiday."

So that's how it is!

The man smiled. "I saw the video. Your son is a real talent. Have you considered enrolling him in our school?"

Lin Feng smiled. "I was thinking of letting him pursue this path after he graduates from high school."

The man nodded. "That's a reasonable thought, but from our perspective, it's better to start training children early. After all, talent is not something everyone has."

Lin Feng was silent for a moment. "He's seven. Isn't that a bit early?"

The man understood Lin Feng's concerns and patted his chest in assurance. "Don't worry. Our teachers here are all retired gold and silver medalists from the Olympics. They know how to train children scientifically. For a seven-year-old like your son, the focus won't be on strength. We'll mainly identify his areas of expertise and help him specialize in them. Our coaches have this all figured out! You can absolutely rest assured!"

Lin Feng then asked, "My son has just started the second grade, you see…"

The man waved his hand dismissively. "We'll handle the discussions about the transfer procedures with his current school. And we aren't suggesting he comes immediately. The plan is for him to transfer over at the start of the second semester of second grade. Of course, if he could transfer now, we would be thrilled."

Most students here boarded at the school, though some parents picked them up and dropped them off, depending on the family's financial situation. The boarding fees weren't expensive, and the school had hired nutritionists, so there was no need to worry about the children's diet.

After a long discussion, Lin Feng and the man went to the playground to find the others. They found Lin Anan racing against an older boy in a short sprint. Sprinting is all about explosive power. TAP-TAP-TAP. Lin Anan shot forward, finishing just 0.3 seconds behind the other boy.

The man said excitedly, "Your son is truly a promising prospect!" He gestured to the other boy. "The one he was racing against is a very powerful runner. Kids his age simply can't compete with him."

Lin Feng couldn't hide his pride. "My son has said he wants to be a decathlete when he grows up. He's very good at sprints and long-distance running."

This might have something to do with the nutritional supplements; the children have developed greatly in both their physical and mental capabilities.

The man chuckled. "A child like this deserves to be properly cultivated. He'll have no problem making it to the national team in the future! As long as he has the talent and is willing to work hard, this path will be a smooth one for him!"

After the race, Lin Anan wasn't even out of breath as he happily mingled with everyone.

The man waved him over and praised him heartily. "You're impressive, little guy!"

"I'm just average!" Lin Anan said humbly.

The man laughed. "How about this: Show us what else you can do. Compete with them in some other events and let the teachers see your results, okay?"

Lin Anan had no objections. "Sure!"

As it turned out, Lin Anan did indeed possess an exceptionally high talent for sports. Moreover, he had stamina and a mental fortitude that his peers lacked, as if he had an inexhaustible supply of energy.

The man excitedly grabbed Lin Feng's arm. "Transfer him! Transfer him immediately! I'll assign someone to train this kid personally!"

Every parent hopes for their child to succeed and stand out. Lin Feng, however, remained rational. "Coach, please calm down. Let's at least wait until he finishes this semester."

The man's gaze was fixed on Lin Anan, who was now on the balance beam, having a great time and maintaining his balance with incredible stability. Without even looking at Lin Feng, he said, "There's nothing more to discuss. It's decided!"

Lin Feng was speechless.

What's with this guy? I'm the kid's father, don't I get a say in this?

Looking as if he had discovered a treasure, the man walked over to praise Lin Anan. "Hey, not bad! Come on down. I'll have someone teach you a few moves, and we'll see if you can do them. You said you were good, didn't you? I'm going to test you today and see if you were telling the truth."

Lin Anan blinked, looking utterly unafraid. "Even if I was lying and I fail the test, it just means I'm not good enough yet. If I'm not good enough, I'll just have to practice until I am. It might take me three years, or even another three, but I'll definitely surpass them."

When it came to sports, Lin Anan himself didn't know why he had such mysterious confidence.

The man gave Lin Anan a thumbs-up. "Well said! You've got spirit!"

A moment later, another teacher arrived and performed some simple movements on the balance beam.

The coach pointed with his thumb. "Go on, give it a try. Let's see if you can do it!"
