Before setting off, the couple made sure all the doors and windows were properly closed. They also drove to the new southern district to give the villa keys to An Lan, telling her to stay there with her parents during the New Year. Lin Feng knew where their bedroom was—the first room on the right after the entrance, complete with an attached bathroom.

"Honey, this is our room," Lin Feng said. "Come on, take off your coat."

As Zhang Yuxi took off her coat, she scanned the room. The entire room, like the living room outside, was decorated in a very old-fashioned style. The decor looked like it was at least ten years old. However, it was clear that Zhou Cuilan had painstakingly cleaned this particular bedroom. The curtains were new, as were the bedsheets, duvet cover, and mosquito net. Next to the bed was a large crib, big enough to comfortably fit all four babies.

Just then, Lin Jie returned with their luggage.

"Bro, Sister-in-law, where should I put this?"

"Just set it on the floor. Thanks, Little Jie," Zhang Yuxi said quickly.

Lin Jie nodded, a little shyly, and left the room. "I'll go help in the kitchen."

Zhang Yuxi remarked, "Your brother is very thoughtful."

Lin Feng took off his own coat and pulled some of his old clothes from the closet to change into. "He's always been a good kid."

Just as Zhang Yuxi turned, she saw Lin Jie had returned. She smiled and asked, "What is it?"

Looking past her at Lin Feng, Lin Jie announced, "Mom says dinner is ready."

"Okay, we'll be right there."
