Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 179: Stamping and Forming Idea (+1)

...

...

The wooden gate of Frost Leaf Town creaked in the cold wind, as snowflakes as small as rice grains fell gently.

Luo De stood at the gate with Durant, Xue Rui, and others, watching the approaching procession.

The soldiers, weary after days of marching, still moved with a steady step, displaying the air of an army.

Rather than moving like scattered, chaotic caravan guards and robbers.

"It seems the discipline training has been effective."

Luo De casually commented.

Durant nodded in response, "At least we didn't embarrass you."

Gang Le, taking the lead, quickly walked up to Lord Luo De and knelt on one knee,

"Good day, esteemed Lord, thank you for personally receiving us."

Gang Le's voice was calm, his face devoid of his usual jesting, and he reported solemnly,

"Lord, as per your orders, the Lizardmen near Razor Plain have been completely eliminated."

"A total of twenty-six, twenty-two bodies, four prisoners have been brought back."

"Hmm, well done."

Luo De stepped forward and helped Gang Le up with both hands.

Gang Le paused, then continued his report:

"As for the Snow Rabbit People slaves, there are eighty-three in total, all adults, fifty-seven males, twenty-five females, no elderly or children."

As Gang Le's voice fell, everyone couldn't help but frown.

Xue Rui was even more anxious, blurting out, "What about the White Claw Tribe's elders and children?"

Luo De glanced at Xue Rui, who quickly lowered her head,

"Sorry, my Lord, I was rude."

In formal occasions, etiquette remains quite important.

Xue Rui knew she was somewhat impolite to interrupt Luo De.

Luo De turned around, "Go ahead, I want to know too."

"I asked the Snow Rabbit People slaves, they said the children and elderly are held at the Bloodscale Tribe's camp,"

Gang Le's voice carried a hint of heaviness,

"I interrogated those Lizardmen, though they didn't speak, their faces showed sinister smiles... the likelihood of those Snow Rabbit People being alive is very low."

Luo De squinted, "These Lizardmen are indeed ruthless."

His tone carried a tinge of disdain.

The alien races are different from humans.

Human character is similar, with few people being extremely good or extremely evil.

But alien races are different.

Not just different from humans, but each alien race has a distinct overall character.

Some alien races are honest and kind, some are simple and unsophisticated, while others are inherently savage, bloodthirsty and brutal.

Humans consider slavery and whipping as cruel punishment.

But in the eyes of Lizardmen, hanging useless slaves, cutting them open, and throwing them into a pot is just an ordinary thing.

Luo De naturally wouldn't judge right from wrong.

But this reality creates natural opposition between humans and Lizardmen.

"Very well, Gang Le, these Snow Rabbit People are what I need."

Luo De patted Gang Le's shoulder, his gaze sweeping over the soldiers in the front,

"Well done, my brave warriors, I am very satisfied with your achievements, everyone will be rewarded."

Luo De lifted the corner of his mouth, his voice loud, "The banquet is ready, now go relax at the tavern and get a good sleep afterwards!"

"Thank you for your generosity, Lord!"

The soldiers responded in unison, their voices deafening.

No need for Luo De's prompt, Durant waved his hand, and the town's guard squad quickly stepped forward to take charge of the prisoners and slaves.

Gang Le, however, remained unmoved, leaning closer to Luo De and whispered, "My Lord, do you know what's going on with the burial pit?"

A hint of concern flashed in his eyes, "I feel it's something ominous."

"Quite right, Gang Le, you are no longer just an old soldier thinking of robbery and women."

Luo De looked at Gang Le appreciatively, "I've arranged someone to investigate this matter, I'll inform everyone when there are results."

Having said that, Luo De watched the soldiers, loudly ordering,

"Everyone listen up, target Frost Breath Tavern, advance at a run!"

The soldiers straightened up, marching neatly towards the town's tavern.

"So, can I indulge now, my Lord?"

After the soldiers left, Gang Le grinned, reverting to his old self.

"Go quickly, remember to hand in the post-battle report after resting well tomorrow." Luo De reminded.

"Yes, my Lord!"

Gang Le replied loudly, then ran to catch up with the troop.

Luo De turned to look at Xue Rui,

"These Snow Rabbit People are in your charge. Get them to become laborers for the city wall construction as quickly as possible."

"Please rest assured, my Lord, they are all obedient and honest."

Xue Rui assured, "They can start working after resting tonight."

"Very good."

Luo De nodded approvingly, "If they are as diligent as you say, I can rescue more Snow Rabbit People in the future."

"Additionally, I need you to assign ten Snow Rabbit People to build some cellars for me."

"Understood, my Lord."

Xue Rui agreed without hesitation, looking at the trembling Snow Rabbit People slaves ahead,

"Shall I go reassure them now?"

"Go ahead."

After Luo De spoke, Xue Rui hurried into the midst of the Snow Rabbit People slaves, from which cries soon emerged.

They spoke in their own language, seemingly complaining to Xue Rui about something, to which Xue Rui nodded repeatedly.

Durant stepped forward and said, "Xue Rui is kind indeed, the White Claw Tribe leader previously betrayed them, yet Xue Rui doesn't blame anyone."

"Perhaps the traitor is an exception, most of the Snow Rabbit People are honest and good-hearted."

Luo De said calmly, "However, we must not relax; we should monitor them for a while just as we do with refugees."

"Understood." Durant replied.

"Interrogate those Lizardmen thoroughly to see if any useful information can be extracted, use harsh methods if necessary."

Luo De looked at those fierce vertical-pupiled faces, "They are inherently vicious; ordinary methods won't scare them."
