Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 182: Lawrence's Schemes (Part 3)

"Yes, master."

Lawrence responded and quickly ran out.

Luo De then summoned Gang Le, ended his vacation, and instructed him to lead the troops out once more.

Besides the task of destroying the Lizardman burial pit, Gang Le also had to escort Rein's Hunting Team.

...

...

Luo De planned to seize the last stretch of winter.

While the prey wouldn't spoil, he allowed Rein to lead the Hunting Team to hunt on the neighboring Razor Plain.

That area was Avril's territory.

Now, it essentially belonged to Luo De as well.

Therefore, Rein could hunt there freely.

The main thing to watch out for was the Lizardmen.

However, with the falconers from the Eagle Wing Tribe, the Hunting Team could generally anticipate the movements of the Lizardmen.

Thus, hunting was considerably safer.

As for the prey in Black Pine Ridge, Luo De planned to let them recuperate for a while.

This wasn't a virtual game where monsters could infinitely respawn.

Excessive hunting would ultimately be a hardship for Luo De himself.

The guard posts at the northern border were already preliminarily established.

The transport team could rest there, and if anything urgent happened, they could provide timely support.

This way, transporting supplies wouldn't be too strenuous.

It was time to utilize the resources of Razor Plain.

...

...

The Knight Camp of the Manor.

In the training field, the Knight Squad's captain, Sao, was sweating profusely.

He faced the dummy with a stern expression, swinging his sword with extreme seriousness.

Striking, thrusting, neck cleaving.

Blocking, deflecting, sword sealing.

The heavy training sword was unsharpened, hitting the dummy with a dull thud.

Sweat trickled down his forehead, yet Sao remained indifferent, continuing to practice the basic sword techniques relentlessly.

"Sao! Stop practicing!"

A panting companion beside him spoke, "You've been training all morning, and besides, the dummy won't fight back. It's meaningless."

"Fine, train with me then."

Sao replied expressionlessly, pointing his training sword at the companion, "If you win, this month's salary is yours."

"Forget it, I don't have that skill."

The companion waved his hand repeatedly, "You continue, I'll go find something to eat."

"Alright."

Sao, like a machine, turned back to face the dummy.

Just as he was about to swing his sword, a guard walked into the training camp,

"Everyone assemble at the Manor for an aptitude check!"

Sao halted his movement, looking at the guard,

"Checking what aptitude?"

"Are we knights getting checked too?"

The guard shook his head, "It's the Lord's command, maybe to showcase your training results."

"Oh, okay."

Upon hearing the Saint Master's order, Sao promptly sheathed his training sword back into the rack, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

He quickly grabbed his coat and put it on.

"Knight Squad, assemble!"

Sao's voice echoed in the Knight Camp, and the members quickly ran out to form ranks.

"Target, Lord Manor, advance at a run!"

At Sao's command, he immediately led the team towards the Manor.

At this moment, the Manor's courtyard was already packed with people.

Over four hundred children lined up in a long queue, dense as a winding river at the Manor's gate.

Luo De sat at a wooden table in the center of the courtyard, upon which lay a large white pearl.

The pearl refracted a faint halo under the sunlight, mysterious and dazzling, very beautiful.

The children stepped forward one by one, placing their hands on the pearl.

The pearl continuously lit up, and Luo De kept shaking his head.

Vivian kept calling out,

"Next."

The process was quick, faster than the first morning pee.

Soon over a hundred had gone by, Luo De's head was dizzy from the shaking and began using his hand instead.

"Next."

As Vivian finished speaking, just as a young girl was about to step forward, a guard rushed over.

"Lord, the Knight Squad has arrived."

"Let the Knight Squad test first, then."

Luo De instructed without hesitation.

The Knight Squad were selected elites, and their time was valuable, not to be wasted waiting here.

"Yes, my Lord."

The guard waved at the Knight Squad.

Sao got the hint and immediately led the team into the courtyard.

The others were sensible enough to give way to the Knight Squad willingly.

"Great Saint Master, may your glory be eternal."

Sao bowed down in respect.

"Hmm, I remember you as Sao Gray Stone, right?"

Luo De nodded in response and instructed, "Come, place your hand on it."

"Yes, my lord."

Sao bowed once more and placed his palm on the pearl without hesitation.

He couldn't help but close his eyes as a row of light spots lit up on the pearl.

Luo De's eyes lit up, and a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth,

"Finally, a child with aptitude has come."

Luo De sighed with relief, looking at the nearly eleven light spots above, expressing his amazement.

Sao's Spiritual Strength was 10.8.

Not a genius, but enough to become a wizard apprentice.

Luo De also knew that Sao trained diligently in the Knight Camp, training whenever he was not eating or sleeping.

"Very good, Sao."

Luo De looked at Sao and asked, "What vision did you see?"
