The base of the mirror was shaped like three claws, the claws seemed to be from the skeleton of some otherworldly creature, with each claw embedded with a purple gemstone.
"Is there any way to lift this surveillance?"
Luo De asked.
Avril sighed softly and shook her head slightly,
"I'm sorry, dear, we don't have the ability to clear this mark yet."
"Only the controller of the Mirror of True Sight and an Official Wizard have the ability to remove it."
"Perhaps you could ask the Dawn Society?"
Luo De said nothing, taking a deep breath and falling into contemplation.
The other people present remained silent, quietly watching Luo De.
After a long while, Luo De looked at Avril, and asked, "Can they only observe marked individuals?"
"Yes," Avril replied.
"Alright."
Luo De responded, his gaze becoming deeper.
If it can't be removed.
Then let's make good use of it.
...
...
At dusk, inside the cave on Razor Plain.
The fire crackled, the orange-red flames leaping across the stone walls, casting shadows of three figures.
Chris, with beads of sweat on his forehead, stood in the corner, twisting his body, practicing the Knight's Breathing Technique.
Rein leaned against the cave wall, wiping his Hunting Bow, while Gang Le was half-laying on a fur blanket, clutching a roasted rabbit leg, chewing it with grease staining his mouth.
"Gang Le, you've already eaten four rabbit legs, aren't you full?"
Rein set the bow aside, smiled, and said, "You're eating so much before dinner, are you not planning to eat tonight?"
"It doesn't matter."
Gang Le tossed the bone he was holding into the fire pit, letting out a long, satisfied belch.
"Alright, now that I'm full, I should train too."
Gang Le stretched lazily, "Even if there's no hope, I must continue training."
The ones who truly believe there's no hope, they won't train anymore."
Rein smirked, "People like me, for example."
Gang Le spat in Rein's direction, said nothing, and walked to the other side.
Before he could start training, a soldier suddenly ran in to report,
"My lords, the Lord has sent letters for the three of you."
"Alright, bring them here."
Gang Le halted and casually walked forward.
The soldier respectfully took out the letters from his coat and handed them to Gang Le.
"There are also letters for the other two lords."
The soldier looked at Rein and Chris.
"The Lord instructed that the three of you have different missions, please check them and execute without interfering with each other."
The three of them were somewhat curious, exchanged glances.
Seeing the soldier's serious expression, Rein and Chris walked forward one after another and took the letters.
They obediently returned to their positions to check the contents of the letters.
A moment later.
Rein and Gang Le were the first to finish reading, exchanged glances.
Rein looked at Chris, and asked, "What did the Lord say to you? Is it convenient to share?"
"Not much, the Lord said for me to guard these Lizardman captives here; he will send someone to take over in a few days."
Chris laughed and said, "Then he said he hoped I would lend Tucson to you both for other missions."
"Besides, there were some things about my family; my wife and children are all well."
"What about your missions?" Chris asked.
"I'm not as lucky as you."
Rein sighed, "In Ice Peak Valley, a Magical Beast was found, and we need to support Baron Blom two days later."
"That Magical Beast's whereabouts are uncertain, and we need those Eagle Tamers to track it."
"Supplies and captives are to be left in your care."
Rein finished speaking and turned to look at Gang Le, "What's your mission?"
"The same here." Gang Le grinned.
Rein was momentarily stunned, "Then why did the Lord bother to write separately, isn't it troublesome?"
"Hehe, my letter also contained personal matters, about my woman."
Gang Le's smile deepened, and he casually tossed the letter into the fire pit.
Seeing this, Rein also threw his letter into the fire pit, watching the paper get consumed by flames.
Chris naturally did the same.
After this, the three began to mind their own business.
The next morning, Gang Le and Rein led their team on the march towards Ice Blade Valley.
However, shortly after they left, the team stopped immediately, turned directions, and headed straight for the Icefield Mountain Range in the northeast.
"Tucson, Sakula, get your Eagles to fly to this location."
Upon reaching a hidden ravine, Gang Le opened a map, pointed at the Lizardman encampment, and ordered the Eagle Tamers next to him,
"Monitor the Lizardman's movements here, report immediately if there's any activity."
"But make sure you're not discovered; the Lizardmen might already be aware of your Eagle Tamer existence."
"Yes, Lord Gang Le."
Tucson and Sakula responded in unison and immediately began communicating with their Eagles.
Gang Le looked at Rein, grinning,
"Next, the drama the Lord spoke of is about to begin."
His words left his deputies bewildered.
Originally set for Ice Blade Valley, yet suddenly changed route midway, now proposing some drama.
Everyone was filled with questions.
Only Rein showed a smiling face, "I just wonder if Chris will be angry once he realizes he was deceived."
"Angry?"
Gang Le's tone elevated, "What does he have to be angry about?"
"If not for him, it wouldn't be so troublesome."
Gang Le's words stunned everyone present.
"Lord Chris betrayed the Lord?"
Gang Le's deputy frowned, hand unconsciously placed on his Longsword hilt.
"You can assume so."
Gang Le replied casually, Rein also smiled knowingly.
Just then, Sakula ran over to report,
"Lord Gang Le, Lord Rein, a group of people have left the Lizardman camp!"
"There's a crowd, including Mixed Blood Lizardmen, at least seventy!"
Gang Le and Rein heard the report, exchanged smiles,
"It's time to start working."
