Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 202: The Timid Lizardman (Part 3)

In the Wolf Field, over a dozen Desert Wolves roamed leisurely within the fence.

Their gray fur glistened with an oily sheen under the afternoon sun.

Plentiful food and balanced nutrition made these Desert Wolves increasingly robust.

Of course, there's also the enhancement from Luo De's Breeding Lord attribute, making these Desert Wolves exceptionally healthy.

All creatures have inertia, and a leisurely life might make the Desert Wolves slack as well.

However, since the White Wolf's return, such leisurely moments became rare for them.

The reason they were idle now was that their master and the White Wolf were in the wooden house outside the Wolf Field, staring at the black-red potion in Luo De's hand.

—— The Giant Wolf Mutation Potion.

The White Wolf sniffed it.

"There's the scent of magic power in it, but I can no longer detect my own scent."

"Hmm, so we still have to try."

Luo De picked up the potion bottle, "This is just a prototype; we need to test its effects on a wolf."

"Let me let Sharp Fang try it."

Wolfhoof stepped forward actively and said.

"No, the effects are uncertain; it might fail."

Luo De shook his head without hesitation.

Luo De understood that their contract was built with a deep bond with their Desert Wolves.

They were not merely mounts, but life-and-death partners.

If any accident happened, Wolfhoof would be very upset.

"We trust you, great Saint Master!"

Wolfhoof straightened his chest, "If you say it will succeed, it surely will succeed!"

"Please don't waste such a precious potion on a Desert Wolf without a contract!"

Wolfhoof knelt on one knee, earnestly pleading.

The Wolfhoof Tribe didn't have any young ones awakened yet. If a Giant Wolf awakened, no one could contract it for a while.

"Moreover, Saint Master, please trust me; the Beast Spirit Contract might also influence the potion's effect!"

"What you say does make some sense."

Luo De furrowed his brow, pondered for a while, and instructed, "Let your Sharp Fang sniff it first and see its reaction."

"Yes, Saint Master!"

Wolfhoof immediately stood up, beckoning to the Desert Wolf lounging outside the door, which, understanding, walked in with leisurely steps.

"Sharp Fang, here's your chance, make sure to seize it."

Wolfhoof patted the wolf's head and whispered before taking the potion into his hands and bringing it to Sharp Fang's nose.

Sharp Fang sniffed it, its eyes brightened, and its tail wagged, albeit a bit stiffly.

"Do you like it?"

Wolfhoof sensed Sharp Fang's emotion and was overjoyed,

"Saint Master, Sharp Fang likes it, he can drink it!"

Wolfhoof gently stroked the neck of his beloved wolf.

Luo De hesitated for a moment and finally nodded.

Wolfhoof hurriedly brought out a clean wooden bowl and poured the entire potion into it.

"Drink it all, finish every drop!"

Wolfhoof urged excitedly.

Sharp Fang looked at Wolfhoof, then lowered its head and used its tongue to scoop all the potion from the bowl into its mouth.

Even the wooden bowl was licked clean by Sharp Fang.

After drinking it all, it still seemed unsatisfied, staring at Wolfhoof.

It seemed to be asking if there was more, or perhaps savoring the potion's taste.

Wolfhoof stared back at it.

It wasn't just Wolfhoof; Luo De, the White Wolf, and the other Wildmen were all intently watching Sharp Fang.

Because Sharp Fang's reaction would determine their fate.

Everyone almost held their breath.

Inside the wooden house, silence reigned, interrupted only occasionally by the low whimpers of the Desert Wolves from the Wolf Field outside.

A long time passed, though perhaps it was just a moment.

Suddenly, Sharp Fang began to pant heavily and collapsed onto the ground.

Its tongue stretched long, mouth agape, saliva dripping continuously.

"Sharp Fang, how are you feeling?"

Wolfhoof asked nervously, "What are you feeling?"

Sharp Fang didn't respond to Wolfhoof; its body began shaking violently.

Clearly visible, muscles twitched irregularly beneath its fur, and a crackling sound emerged from its body.

"Awooo!"

A pained whimper escaped Sharp Fang's mouth as it started rolling back and forth on the ground.

"Sharp Fang!"

Wolfhoof called anxiously, trying to approach but was pulled back by Luo De.

"Calm down, according to the inherited knowledge, it's beginning to mutate."
