Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 211: Leave No One Alive (Part 3)

After reading the letter, Durant immediately understood why Lord Baron carried an aura of killing intent.

Avril's stepmother sent a team to deliver a letter to Viscount Giant Bear.

She wanted to marry Avril to Viscount Giant Bear's illegitimate son, to form a marriage alliance between the two families.

However, Viscount Giant Bear refused.

Viscount Giant Bear held a good impression of Luo De and didn't want to cause trouble after knowing Avril was in Frost Leaf Town.

After being refused, Avril's stepmother then sent the team to Hawk Territory.

She intended to betroth Avril to the young son of Count Hawk.

Even though Durant was not a noble, he was very clear,

—This was a blatant insult.

Betrothing Avril to any noble offered no benefit to the Red Griffin Clan, especially to her stepmother.

Because Avril did not have a friendly relationship with her stepmother; it might even be said it was antagonistic.

Even marrying Avril off, the two families wouldn't form an alliance through the marriage.

This is also why the suitors Avril's stepmother chose for her were of low status.

The sole purpose of doing so,

was to disgust people.

It was the arrogance of nobility, an extremely vile, perverse pleasure.

Avril's stepmother used her elevated power to tell Luo De she could completely dictate Avril's marriage.

As long as the Royal Family did not intervene, no one could stop her.

Even though Avril had already been enfeoffed.

It was both to humiliate Avril and threaten Luo De.

She wanted Luo De to sever ties with Avril.

"Lord Baron, we..."

Durant cautiously began to speak, but Luo De raised a hand to interrupt him.

"No need to ask."

Luo De gave the order calmly,

"The team that delivered the message, leave not a single one."

"Then, have the Night Language Association begin investigating Avril's stepmother."

Luo De's tone remained calm, yet his words sent a chill down Durant's spine:

"Her children, and any information related to anyone associated with her."

"Provide them with funding to find out as fast as possible."

Durant swallowed hard, "Yes, Lord Baron."

After Durant spoke, Luo De said nothing more.

The hall instantly became silent.

The only sound was Luo De's fingers tapping on the table.

The rhythm was slow, appearing leisurely.

But to Durant's ears, it sounded like the bells of slaughter.

Durant wanted to speak and persuade his baron not to get angry over this.

But he did not know how to begin.

Fortunately, Vivian soon returned with Vika.

"Good evening, Lord!"

Vika kneeled on one knee to salute.

With the aid of the Guiding Potion, Vika learned the language of the Empire quickly.

In addition to the influence of the surrounding environment, his speech wasn't fluent, but it was enough for communication.

Luo De gestured for him to rise and directly asked,

"I need you to kill six people."

"They might not be in Black Pine Ridge, but in the human world to the south."

Luo De had Durant spread out the map and pointed to a location in Hawk Territory,

"Here, you'll need to avoid humans when you arrive, staying in the wild without supplies."

"Can you manage that?"

"Of course!"

Vika confidently lifted his head, excitedly,

"The free stuff here will never turn us into useless beings; we haven't lost our hunting skills."

"We are the children of the wilderness, Lord, you need not worry about our survival."

"Just tell us the targets, no matter where they are, even if in a human castle, we'll fulfill your mission!"

"Very well,"

Luo De nodded with satisfaction,

"Tomorrow, you'll set off for White Rock Canyon."

"There, you'll be provided with supplies and a map. Upon reaching your destination, someone will contact you with a secret signal to guide you."

Vika nodded emphatically,

"No problem, Lord, your support is more than sufficient!"

Luo De waved his hand, "Now go prepare then."

"Yes!"

Vika bowed, immediately turned around, and left.
