Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 215: Lizardman Invasion_3

After hearing the story, Luo De looked a bit surprised,

"Weren't you afraid of Linda the witch then?"

Makuru sighed, "Ah, my lord Baron, if Linda were the Devil, everyone in that territory would be dead."

"I admire your intelligence and diligence."

Luo De smiled and tossed a burlap to Makuru,

"Alright, I can accept them."

"But, you must stay and work for me."

"This..."

Makuru hesitated for a moment and then immediately knelt down on one knee,

"Thank you for your acknowledgment. Makuru Wheel is willing to serve you."

Makuru did not swear allegiance, which is normal for a merchant.

It's just important to do some things for himself.

Lawrence was initially kept through threats and inducements.

Luo De valued Makuru's abilities, but his identity still needed to be investigated.

"Take your piece of burlap and find the fat man at Truth Gate."

Luo De pointed to Lawrence and introduced, "The fat man with a frown, give it to him."

"He will arrange your subsequent life and work."

"Yes, honorable Baron."

Makuru bowed again with a salute, "Rest assured, we will cooperate well and never cause you any trouble."

Luo De nodded and called over the guard to lead Makuru to Lawrence.

After Makuru left, Luo De had a satisfied smile on his face.

"Join carpenters, stone masons, and bricklayers together, there are at least twenty of them."

Luo De said to Vivian who was beside him, "If Makuru didn't lie to me, there should be at least one-third of them are farmers."

"Their farming knowledge is far more than our slaves from the Northern Wilderness."

Covering such a long distance from south to north, the weak ones have already collapsed on the road.

"You really can keep your cool."

Vivian looked sideways at Luo De, her eyes carrying some reverence,

"At first, you seemed reluctant. If it were me, I'd have accepted them long ago."

"Hahaha."

Luo De chuckled and didn't explain further.

These people reached the Northern Wasteland and were forbidden entry by the border town.

Besides Luo De, there wasn't anyone who could accept them.

So, Luo De was not in a hurry.

...

...

The north wind roared over Razor Plain.

A squad of well-equipped soldiers, draped in fur coats, slowly appeared on the horizon.

"Boss, the troops of Black Pine Ridge have withdrawn, why do we still need to patrol here?"

The burly soldier shrunk his neck, "Our Lord doesn't need to please Baron Rod so much, does he?"

The captain cast a sidelong glance at his querying subordinate, sarcastically replying with impatience,

"Clear your mind of all those tits before you open your mouth to ask me that question."

The subordinate wasn't bothered by the captain's sarcasm, spat once,

"Ah, I haven't touched a tit in ages!"

"Susan's pair..."

"Shut up!"

The captain frowned, suddenly regretting mentioning tits.

He turned his head, speaking seriously, "Which is closer to the Razor Plain, Black Pine Ridge or Ice Blade Valley?"

"If the Lizardmen invade, where would they reach first?"

"Can't figure that out?"

The captain frowned, impatiently turning around to leave,

"Don't ask stupid questions again, learn to think for yourself, Baron Blom said..."

Mid-sentence, the captain suddenly stopped, staring at the distant mountains.

"Boss, why did you stop? What did Baron Blom say?"

The subordinate, seeing the captain's actions, also stopped and looked toward the mountains,

"This..."

Black lines surged from the mountains, continuously sweeping in like shadows!

"Enemy attack!"

The captain shouted,

"Quick, go alert them, the Lizardmen are here!"
