My Stubborn Soul Card Follower

Chapter 353: Alice Wants to Become Leader of Dragon Valley

With Lobelia's endorsement, Alice naturally settled into Dragon Valley very smoothly.

Alice arrived just in time for the re-election of the leader of Dragon Valley.

The giant dragons in Dragon Valley were all old dragons who had experienced the fall of the Dragon God back in the day.

However, with the passage of a thousand years, other gods have gradually revived. Even gods that some stronger dragons couldn't defeat have already adapted to the revival of the gods and reawakened. Yet, the revival of the once powerful Dragon God has remained extremely difficult.

Qishala's suppression is one aspect.

The loss of faith among the Dragon God's followers is also a very important factor.

The gods on the Dawn Continent, in terms of mechanism, become gods by stealing the Power of Law from the world's consciousness. They need followers as support to maintain this state of theft.

As long as there are many followers, then the gods, in a sense, become a weakened version of the world's consciousness, and they can naturally usurp this power.

The revival of a god is under similar conditions.

The more followers, the higher the probability of revival.

Yet, as time goes by, even in this Dragon Valley, doubts about whether the Dragon God can return have never ceased.

Therefore, every few years, Dragon Valley holds several grand events to pledge allegiance to the Dragon God.

If not, after a few more years, the entire Dragon Valley would disperse.

As people's minds drift further apart, such activities in Dragon Valley have become increasingly frequent.

The re-election of the leader is the most important event.

[Alice, reading the rules of the re-election, suddenly asked, "Nowhere here does it say that the leader of Dragon Valley must be from the Dragon Race."]

["Lady Adoma." Sitting beside her was a member of the Dragon God Sect named Shrek. Upon hearing Alice's words, he instantly understood what Alice meant and wiped the sweat from his forehead, saying, "This is an internal matter of Dragon Valley, such things don't need to be written down...."]

["If it's not written, it means it's allowed," Alice chuckled. "These dragons must really be old, they lack even such basic caution. If it's not detailed, the law can become a tool for those with intentions."]

["Ah, but... Lady Adoma, after all, these dragons are our partners...."]

[Alice squinted at Shrek.]

[Alice has a natural sensitivity to people's hearts. In her interactions with the Dragon God Sect, she discovered that the sect, rather than being a congregation of the Dragon God's followers, was more like a group leveraging the banner of the Dragon God for their own gains.]

[Many of its members were originally followers of the Master of Thunder, but seeing no future, they turned to the Dragon God Sect, using the revival of the Dragon God to help the Master of Thunder win the Divine War as a pretext to take a cut from the Thunder Church.]

[The short lifespans of humans caused a dramatic shift in the ideology of an organization over hundreds of years. Perhaps at the beginning, the Dragon God Sect was full of devout followers of the Dragon God, but unfortunately, that is not the case now.]

[To them, the Dragon God is more a banner for seizing benefits; as long as the banner of the Dragon God's revival stands, they can forever carve out the flesh of the Thunder Church to fill their own pockets.]

[The current members of the Dragon God Sect don't even have the most basic respect for the giant dragons anymore.]

[Even though I have shown such evident disdain for these giant dragons, Shrek merely offers such a perfunctory attempt at prevention.]

[In that case... perhaps I can do something.]

Shen Sui, seeing this part, immediately sensed that Alice was about to stir things up.

Subsequently, from his understanding of Alice, Shen Sui's mind quickly envisioned several possibilities.

Alice's ideas often lack much foresight, always carrying an element of whimsy.

But this whimsy often has omens.

Shen Sui rapidly reviewed the previously seen plot.

The election of the leader of Dragon Valley.

The leader of the Dragon Race.

The rule of the Dragon Race....

Damn! Magic Stone!

[Alice wants to participate in the election for the leader of Dragon Valley.]

Shen Sui covered his face.

As expected, this girl was going to stir things up again.

The giant dragons of Dragon Valley were nothing but walking corpses that should have died long ago in the old era; why did Alice always have to challenge herself so intensely?

Moreover, wasn't this out of Alice and Lobelia's plan?!

["Lady Adoma, what do you mean by this?" Shrek, hearing Adoma's words, was so shocked he couldn't speak, unable to connect it to current matters.]

[Can such a thing really be done?]

[And even if it succeeds, are you sure these dragons would submit to your rule?]

[In the end, wouldn't this just be a complete farce?]

[Shrek looked at the calm Alice in front of him, utterly perplexed.]

[Alice has always started with an idea before filling in the details.]

[The more she thought about it, the more feasible it seemed, and it also looked quite interesting.]

[But would such a declining group of dragons really submit to human management?]

[After sending off Shrek, Alice sat in her room lost in thought.]

[However, Alice quickly felt that this matter wasn't difficult.]

Not difficult my foot!

Shen Sui genuinely wanted to go over and knock some sense into Alice's head right now.

What makes you think you can rule a dragon tribe, especially as a human?

You're not the protagonist of a farming novel who can provide them with a living environment or something.

Even the protagonist of a farming novel needs a good long setup to conquer such a powerful force or maybe win over the clan leader's daughter or something.

What Shen Sui couldn't understand most of all is why Alice wanted to do this.

Fortunately, Alice quickly presented a reason Shen Sui couldn't argue against:

It's fun; it's entertaining.

When Qishala returned with the food, Shen Sui was sitting with his hands under his chin, deep in sharp thought.

"What happened, Master?" Qishala asked curiously.

Shen Sui murmured, "I'm wondering if sometimes Alice goes too far with her antics. Can such things really be done for fun?"

Qishala smiled wryly and said, "She probably thinks I'm fed up with these guys who betrayed the Dragon Race and thinks this could help me vent."

Believe it or not, Qishala guessed right; Alice suddenly wanted to pull this stunt because she was influenced by Lobelia, thinking that the Dragon Valley's dragons were a bunch of bastards giving Qishala a headache, and thus wanted to torment them thoroughly.

"Speaking of which, what plan did Alice and Lobelia come up with?" Qishala hadn't seen this part.

"Didn't you say you wanted to revive the Dragon God and save Mitole?" Shen Sui said, affected by Qishala, not viewing Dragon God and Mitole together anymore, yet he wouldn't easily forgive Mitole, "They plan to make the Dragon God disappear forever in front of those dragons."

To save Mitole, one must shatter the Dragon God's divine throne, although Mitole would remain, the Dragon God would vanish forever.

The divine throne isn't something that can be easily shattered, but with the Life Card Duel, it became much simpler.

Once the gods are made into cards, the corresponding divine thrones cease to exist.

See, the God of Sin and War God can never be resurrected, can they?

These Follower Cards were made directly by Shen Sui sealing entities, somewhat different from those generated by the Dueling Device.

Death God Arianna can still exist as Shen Sui hasn't carded her Follower Card, or else Arianna would no longer exist on Dawn Continent either.

"Ah, truly ruthless," Qishala said. "They've been on the run for so long, hoping one day the Dragon God revives to lead them in retaking Dragon Island, yet treating them like this is surely killing their spirits."

"You pity them?"

Qishala sneered, "Pity? Why pity them? What they did back on Dragon Island couldn't be atoned for with even hundreds of deaths. I wish Alice would be harsher on them."

Shen Sui looked at Qishala, blinked, and smiled, "If that's the case, let Alice do whatever she wants."

What Alice would do when left to her own devices, even Shen Sui, who could directly read her thoughts, couldn't predict.

She, by herself, was full of miracles.

[Alice found Lobelia and talked about her new idea.]

["Not quite feasible," Lobelia quickly threw cold water on it, "Even as a fellow Dragon Race member, I haven't gained their full trust, and can't even enter the upper echelons. You just want to become the leader here all of a sudden? That's unrealistic."]

["Not even with a Magic Stone?"]

[Lobelia chuckled and said, "Such a thing is just a symbol; they only bring it out when needed. When not needed, they won't recognize it. The Northern Lands' Giant Race legend says whoever possesses all Three Sacred Artifacts of Dawn is king, yet Twilight Bishop became their king without them?"]

["I see." Alice blinked, pondered a moment, and said to Lobelia, "Then I'll try a different approach."]

["Why are you so bent on becoming the ruler here?" Lobelia said exasperatedly.]

["Hehe, I could use some extra forces to attack the city," Alice revealed another motive.]

Standing up for Qishala was one aspect.

On the other hand, she also wanted to boost her self-raised Twilight army with higher-class combat power; otherwise, this peasant-based uprising force would appear too weak against the empire's main troops later on.

In the Extraordinary World, class barriers are much thicker than in reality.

A powerful strength cannot be easily breached just through changes in ideas and concepts.

Alice wasn't that naive; lately, she's been racking her brains to enhance the combat power of the Twilight army. Spiritual Life was one attempt; she plans to make some "waste" use of the dragons here as well.

["Oh, right, what are the Three Sacred Artifacts of Dawn you mentioned?" Alice suddenly asked out of curiosity.]
