Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 223: Seeking the Elf Race (Part 2)

The vines slithered away like a giant serpent, entangling several vampires attempting to encircle him.

"Capture him!"

The leading vampire let out an angry roar.

He realized that if this threat was not eliminated, the entire battle could be completely reversed.

Then, he led several companions towards David, their razor-sharp claws trying to tear apart this sudden enemy.

At that moment, an elf warrior leaped into the air, shooting several arrows in an elegant arc at the attacking vampires.

The arrows were incredibly precise, piercing through the vampires as if silver light, forcing those trying to approach David to retreat.

But all vampires are undead, and even arrows imbued with magic power only depleted some of their blood energy, unable to pose a lethal threat.

"Well done!" David's eyes narrowed.

He mobilized the vast amount of plant energy accumulated around him, forming a massive green shield behind him.

Not only did it protect him, but it also provided more cover for the elves behind him.

Those vampires who wanted to approach and attack them halted when they saw this screen.

But soon, this hesitation was replaced by anger.

A tremendously strong, scar-laden yet fierce-eyed giant roared and charged forward, "Don't back down! We are the Night Royals!"

At this moment, a tall figure shrouded in darkness emerged from the mist, its aura suffocating everyone.

The Duke of Vampires coldly scanned the surroundings, "Trash, unable to even deal with this little elf tribe."

After speaking, he waved his arm, releasing a thick black smoke from his palm, which swiftly spread towards all elves and David.

"Don't let him spellcast!" one elf immediately warned the others in alarm.

But it was already too late; as the thick smoke spread, some elves, panicked and confused, began to retreat uncontrollably.

Those who touched the black smoke screamed in agony, forced to twist and deform.

As the black smoke spread, David felt the power permeating the surrounding air, and his face gradually became solemn.

This Vampire Prince's power was also Second Ring, and extremely powerful within that, not far from Third Ring.

And on the Alien Race Continent, the strongest is Third Ring; this is a place of exile by the Wizard Alliance, and neither the Wizard Alliance nor the Sea Race of the Endless Sea would allow the existence of any beings beyond Third Ring!

"Looks like I'll have to use some other powers." David decided in his heart.

Now, relying solely on his elf bloodline and plant control mark, even with a Second Ring magic spring, it would be difficult to be a match for the Duke of Vampires before him.

With a thought, he used the plant control mark to summon the Death Demon Tree hidden within the Plant Spirit.

Back then, after defeating the Death Demon Tree, he harnessed the power of the Plant Spirit to control it and refine it into a part of the Plant Spirit.

And through continuous enhancement of the plant control talent, the Death Demon Tree grew stronger, and the plant mark could fully utilize its power.

"Come, I need you!" David murmured.

He took a deep breath, mobilizing the plant mark within him, and simultaneously connected his consciousness with the Death Demon Tree.

Upon his summoning, an eerie and dim light rose behind him, like a gigantic demon tree made of black vines and ancient trunks.

It slowly grew, absorbing the surrounding plant energy to form a powerful root system.

Under David's will, the Death Demon Tree began absorbing the blood energy contained within the surrounding vampires.

It extended countless tendrils, attacking the struggling vampires enveloped by black smoke like a hunter.

Whenever the tendrils made contact with an enemy, they would, as if cursed, viciously extract the life force stored within them.

"Ah! No! How can this be!"

Several vampires let out hopeless and heart-wrenching screams.

They realized that their power was being irreversibly stripped away.

Meanwhile, David also fused a trace of Vampire Ancestor power within himself with the Death Demon Tree, allowing it to continuously absorb the vampires' power.

David gazed at the gigantic Death Demon Tree, which continued to grow under his will, with tendrils twisting like spirit snakes, gradually closing in on the Duke of Vampires.

The Duke of Vampires realized the grave nature of the situation, with anger flashing in his eyes.

The power summoned by David with the Death Demon Tree made him feel an unprecedented threat.

"Do you think these little tricks can harm me?"

The Duke of Vampires chuckled coldly, then he spread his arms, gathering black smoke from the air, attempting to form a shield to resist the power released by David.

"You wish to use darkness to resist the power of death?"

David's lips curled into a dismissive smile.

He fully merged his consciousness with the Death Demon Tree, feeling every nerve in his body resonate with the terrifying tree.

"Come, show them your true power!"

David shouted softly and then controlled the Death Demon Tree as its tendrils lunged forward like hunters.

These tendrils contained not only strong plant energy but also terrifying instincts, capable of directly devouring life force.

The tendrils swiftly tore through the black smoke like lightning, shredding the shadows trying to protect the Duke with vibrant yet decaying plants.

Faced with this powerful force, even the fiercest undead creatures had difficulty resisting.

The smaller vampires that touched the tendrils were swept in, unable to escape the fate of having their life force devoured no matter how they struggled.

"Stop!"

The Duke of Vampires looked furious.

He waved his arm, trying to gather stronger dark energy for a counterattack.

However, at that moment, a thick tendril, sparkling with shadowy brilliance, approached, binding his body like a chain.

"Ah!" The Duke struggled fiercely.

The sensation of being restrained gave him a long-lost but undeniable unease.

He desperately tried to use his evil magic, only to find that the power flowing within him was quickly depleting.

This depletion was a direct result of the Death Demon Tree's manipulation, gradually consuming a portion of his life energy!

"Now it's my turn."

David's lips lifted slightly as he felt the exhilaration of controlling the situation.

He continued to wield the plant mark and control mark, gathering more residual life force from the surrounding plants and deceased beings into the Death Demon Tree, making it even larger and stronger.

Thicker, more ferocious, decay-imbued new tendrils continuously targeted the Duke of Vampires, trapping him on an inescapable platform.

At this moment, a dazzling green light burst forth from David's hands.

It was a mysterious spell formed by the powerful bloodline of the elves.

It infused all the power concentrated in the battle, causing every tendril pointed at the enemy to contain the power of nature!

At David's summoning, the green light quickly spread, as if enveloping the entire battlefield in an atmosphere where life and death intertwined.

Each tendril swung wildly like a living creature, imbued with David's will, steadily approaching the Duke of Vampires with frightening radiance.

"I will not let you succeed!"

The Duke of Vampires roared in fury, concentrating all his strength to try to break free from his bindings.

But those tendrils were as solid as iron chains, and no matter how he struggled, he could not escape.

At this time, he felt a wave of powerlessness surge from deep within his body, a fear from the continuous deprivation of life force.

David continued to pour more natural power contained within his elf bloodline into the Death Demon Tree.

With the strengthening of this power, the giant black tree took firmer root in the earth, absorbing all surrounding energy!
