Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 227: Accepting the Elf Queen

The Vampire Prince was struck by a powerful pillar of light, and his painful howl echoed across the battlefield.

Before that pure energy, his body became increasingly weak, the dark mist consistently tore apart, revealing his twisted and hideous face.

"How can this be..."

The Vampire Prince murmured to himself, his voice filled with endless anger and resentment.

He was once the ruler of the Dark Domain, but now he was pushed to the brink by an Elf Queen and an Elf.

Deep in his heart, he felt an unprecedented despair and unwillingness, unable to accept all this.

Gathering the last strand of energy, he tried to transform into dark mist again, but the pillar of light, like the scythe of death, continuously diminished his power.

Around him, vines continuously entwined his body, firmly securing him to the ground. Every struggle only brought more restraints, making him feel there was no escape.

"You insignificant little creatures!" he roared, his voice hoarse and trembling, "You can't comprehend the power that lies behind me!"

The Vampire Prince seemed to want to speak further, but an invisible force had already restrained him, abruptly halting the words he wanted to say.

The Elf Queen and David were not shaken by his threats, instead they watched the former powerful figure now in a wretched state.

"Your era has ended!" the Elf Queen said coldly, "Darkness will eventually be driven away, and the light of life will shine on Earth once more!"

With her voice falling, she swung the Staff of Life, once again summoning the Power of Nature. A more dazzling light poured down from the sky, completely enveloping the Vampire Prince.

The Vampire Prince felt a piercing cold surge from his heart. He struggled frantically, but everything was already too late.

"No... I don't want to die..."

He pleaded in despair, once a formidable figure feared by countless creatures, now reduced to begging for mercy from his enemies.

Yet at this moment, he understood that no matter how powerful he was, he couldn't reverse the fate that led to this end.

Ultimately, beneath that irresistible light, he transformed into wisps of black smoke, and the dark mist surrounding him started to disperse.

David saw this and had already controlled the Death Demon Tree. Numerous roots penetrated the Vampire Prince's body, beginning to plunder the Life Energy within him.

In an instant, endless unwillingness, remorse, and anger coalesced into one last desolate howl before everything was completely devoured.

"It's over." The Elf Queen sighed in relief at the sight.

David, however, closed his eyes, starting to digest the Vampire Prince's memories.

He immersed himself in the Prince's memory, as if placed amidst a canvas intertwining pain and madness.

He could feel the Prince's profound solitude while wandering in darkness, perceive his despair and helplessness tearing at his soul.

More importantly, he realized that this powerful Vampire was not merely an isolated existence, but had even deeper dark forces behind him.

In the memories, scenes flashed: a mysterious and ancient ritual, a pale figure emitting strange vibes, it was a Bloodline Mage!

This person was part of the Vampire Prince's power source, to whom he once showed loyalty, using his own Life Energy to pursue immortality and strength.

In countless desperate and frantic rituals, the Vampire Prince thought he had attained supreme power, not knowing that he was merely a pawn in the Bloodline Mage's hands.

"His target is the Life Ancient Tree!" David suddenly exclaimed.

He learned from the scenes in memory that the mage sought to achieve his scheme by draining the Life Energy from Elves and other creatures, pursuing greater power.

And thereby open a gateway to deeper levels of the Abyss, where there is no light, only endless nightmare, inhabited by numerous Dark Creatures.

It is legendary, not only breeding powerful Dark Creatures, but also potentially awakening more dreadful existences that have long since slumbered.

"We must stop him!" said the Elf Queen gravely, unaware of these secrets.

But from David's furrowed brow and resolute gaze, she understood the gravity of the situation, "We can't let such an Abyss be resurrected again!"

David listened but frowned, seeing from the Vampire Prince's response that this Bloodline Mage's power was extremely frightening, possibly having reached the level of a Fourth-Ring Mage.

Probably only if the Elf Queen fully activated the Life Ancient Tree's power could they barely contend with this Bloodline Mage.

If they leave Mist Forest to search for the Bloodline Mage, even if they successfully find him, they would ultimately be courting death.

The Elf Queen was taken aback, not expecting such outcomes.

If the Bloodline Mage indeed acts personally, it seemed she only had the option to lead the Elves into the Elf Secret Realm.

"Or, you could take the Life Ancient Tree and leave with me." David suggested then, noting that Mist Forest was already unsafe.

The Elf Queen paused, then shook her head after a moment of silence, "We Elves have lived here for generations, we don't know where else we could go."

After hearing the Elf Queen's words, David fell somewhat silent.

If so, it's indeed a bit tricky.

This Bloodline Mage surely never anticipated the Vampire Prince would be defeated so easily.

Next, the mage will certainly act personally. With the power of a Fourth-Ring Mage, coupled with the mage's bizarre methods, the Elf Race really wouldn't withstand it.
