Chapter 1333 – Which Way?

Xiaoke frowned- these two paths were the same at all; there was no way she could find anything different about them!

“I can’t make a decision here- there aren’t any markings or anything, with no mechanisms or traps. It’s just two paths- I can’t tell.” Xiaoke said bluntly. She didn’t want to mislead anyone.

“Old Hei, what about you?” Old Hao said disappointedly as he looked at Old Hei.

“I don’t know either…” Old Hei shook his head. This tomb was very uncommon, with all the entrances unmarked. There weren’t any hints at all- how did the people who built this even navigate, did they use maps every time?

“Then let’s go to the left- this time, all of us will put stone dust markings on the ground as we walk forward. I’ll guard us against the back! It shouldn’t be a problem!” Old Hao sighed.

“Alright, I agree.” Old Hei said after thinking about it- With Old Hao at the back, it should be fine.

“I agree, as well!” James nodded. He had to- going right by himself was just more dangerous.

“Alright, it’s settled then!” Old Hao nodded.

“You guys go left then; I’ll go right.” Lin Yi said flatly.

His jade was alerting him the moment he got close to the left- there was nothing good waiting there.

“What? You’re not moving with everyone?” Old Hao wasn’t too pleased with Lin Yi going against the flow. It was his suggestion, after all.

“Is there a problem with me going, right?” Lin Yi hmphed coldly.

“Do what you want then! Let’s go.” Old Hao was quite pissed at Lin Yi, not following him. He had a cold hmph in response.

Old Hei, however, frowned. He remembered what he overheard when he was listening to Lin Yi’s tent.

Did he have full confidence that the right side was a good path? Why else would he go against every single one and go, right? With that thought, he hesitated. “Old Hao, maybe we should go right as well!”

“What, you believe him?” Old Hao’s face looked displeased.

“I agree with going right too!” Xiaoke said. She didn’t know why, but she didn’t like this Old Hao very much. She preferred supporting the couple.

Lin Yi was already walking to the right already, with Lingshan and Yutian walking behind.

Old Hei hesitated and went with them. Seeing Lin Yi walk with such big strides made him convinced that Lin Yi knew what he was doing! Xiaoke followed as well, with James tailing them.

Old Hao glared for a moment- he was the one with the most authority here at first, but now no one was listening! Even the Old Hei who hired him was listening to the graverobber couple!

But he could only follow since everyone was going right now- he sighed, put away his anger, and walked on.

The right path wasn’t long, and after a while, they came to another two paths.

Everyone blinked at the two paths- what was going on? They were following Lin Yi, so they couldn’t see too far ahead. It was too late when they saw the split.

“This… How do we proceed,” Old Hei asked hesitantly beside Lin Yi? Did Lin Yi know what he was doing?

“Let me take a look.” Lin Yi stood at the two paths, sensing the danger- but the jade didn’t alert him at all. Both were safe?

Lin Yi frowned, unable to make a decision right away!

“What’s wrong?” Old Hao spoke up. “Don’t know where to go now? I told you all to go left, and none of you listened, you had to follow him!”

“That’s…” Old Hei didn’t know which one to side with now. “Do you know where we’re going?”

“I didn’t ask you guys to follow; you came on your own.” Lin Yi said faintly, not giving him any hints at all. “You can go back if you want.”

“Let’s go back then; we’ll go from the left!” Old Hao spoke up.

Old Hei and James looked at each other- both of them looked hesitant.

Lin Yi gave Old Hao a glance before stepping towards the right path. Since there wasn’t any danger, then any would do. All roads lead to Rome, right? Maybe both were exits.

Lingshan and Yutian trusted Lin Yi one hundred percent, especially Yutian! He was someone who lived in the jungle with him before. Lin Yi was a very strong mentor, able to identify the traps that the enemies lay and avoid them with complete ease. He had super agility and logical thinking, so Yutian never doubted him at all!

Old Hei hesitated a bit but still followed. While the couple was an arrogant duo, they were very careful people- they clearly cared a lot about their lives, and they wouldn’t do anything to get themselves killed!

Old Hei followed, and so did Xiaoke. James hesitated a bit, but went with them as well, leaving Old Hao with a pissed off face. But he followed them as well.

One hundred meters later, Lin Yi suddenly stopped.

“What’s wrong?” Old Hei paused- there wasn’t a split in front, what was he doing?

“Look behind you!” Lin Yi turned around flatly.

Lin Yi had been paying more attention this time- the pathway had a slight curve- this should be where the two paths met!

As expected, there were two paths behind them, the same as the split they saw earlier! They came out of the right path!

“Ah! Another split!” Old Hei said, surprised.

“If I’m not wrong, we would come out from here if we went left earlier. These two paths are connected.” With that, Lin Yi continued walking.

Old Hei didn’t hesitate anymore, he followed behind Lin Yi right away! Xiaoke and James did the same, along with a very pissed off Old Hao.
