Everyone jumped up, chairs clattering, food flying. Only Selvara stayed in her seat, eyes locked on the cloaked man who hadn't moved an inch.
A patron screamed, "Demon attack! Run!" and chaos broke loose. People stumbled over each other, pushing and shouting as they fled out.
The leader of the Pale Hands sighed, rubbing his temple., "And here I told her not to run wild."
"Why? Why would you show yourself like this?" Selvara demanded, standing up.
"Ohh... Can't a leader come to greet his old team member?" He said calmly.
"Cut the crap," She snapped. "Answer me properly. And why the hell is she here?"
He gestured toward the destroyed wall lazily. "She wanted to see her dear Onee-chan."
"Huh?" She cried, "That doesn't explain why would you show yourself."
"I just wanted to have a discussion with this Child Of Prophecy. And the best way would be having no secrets. Don't you think?" He said, voice calm as ever.
"Say..." He said, voice turning cold, "Why would you betray us?" Demanding answers from her.

Sylas leaned back in his chair, legs stretched out, that usual cocky smirk plastered on his face. The open-air market was lively—merchants calling out, lute player across the street, scent of roasted meat drifting around everywhere.
Sylara tried acting cool. Her normal clothes still looked way too good for the place, and Sylas took full advantage of that.
He scooted his chair closer, leaned in. "Y'know, you can't keep staring at the soup and hope it'll turn into wine," He whispered, eyes glinting.
Sylara snorted, cheeks going pink. "I'm just... hungry. Unlike you, apparently."
He reached across the table, lacing his fingers through hers. "Hmm, but you're plenty to look at."
Sylara's eyes widened. "Shameless!"
"Truth," He shot back, squeezing her hand.
"You look good when you're not in your usual clothes. You should wear normal dresses more."
"You try wearing a dress and not falling on your face," She shot back, but she was smiling now.
"Only if you promise to catch me," He teased, drawing circles on the back of her hand.
She tried pulling away. He wouldn't let her.
He leaned closer, brushing his thumb over her knuckles.
"You're cute when you blush, too. And those eyes? Sunlight could get jealous."
"Oh gods, Sylas—stop! People are staring," She whispered, but she didn't move away.
He shrugged. "Let them. I finally get you alone, I'm not wasting it." He leaned forward, brushing his lips against hers. A teasing quick kiss first, then another, slow and full, right in front of everyone.
Sylara's cheeks went crimson. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"Yet you're smiling," He said, grinning wide.
She rolled her eyes but let herself lean against his shoulder, squeezing his hand. "Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without you."
"I do," He teased, dropping another kiss on her forehead. "You'd probably spend your days being terrifying on the battlefield instead of here, pretending to be soft."
She poked his chest gently. "Soft? Me? You want to see soft, come closer." She pulled him in, this time kissing him deeply, hands holding his face.
Someone from another table wolf-whistled.
Sylas just grinned, biting his lip as they broke apart. "Told you. Sunlight's jealous."
Sylara rolled her eyes but was definitely smiling now.
Then, between the laughter in the market, a dull echo rolled across the square. A distant BOOM, enough to make cups tremble.
They pulled apart, eyes going wide.Sylara cursed under her breath. "Really? Trouble, here and now?"
Sylas grinned wide, grabbing her hand. "Don't worry, beautiful. Stick with me. A little chaos never ruins a date."
She rolled her eyes, letting him pull her from her chair, both running off toward the noise, still hand in hand as the chaos started calling them back to adventure.
---
Outside, the ground was cracked, butcher shop half-tilted from the impact. Lazira stood across from Aiden, one foot planted in the dirt, mana humming around her like a storm.
Aiden rolled his neck, twin daggers gleaming faintly. "Nice kick," He said dryly.
"Nice block," Lazira replied, her weapon sparking. "But it won't save you."
They shot forward again. Steel and mana collided, bright and sharp. Sparks exploded around their hands.
When she attacked earlier, Aiden had already summoned his twin dagger from his inventory, blocking her attack.
Aiden grunted, pushing back hard, "You look like someone I know." He said, smirking.
Lazira leaped away, landing on her feet. She clutched her mana ring sword, as she gritted her teeth, "Give me back my Onee-Chan, you pathetic human. What kind of forbidden spell did you used on my Onee-Chan?"
"Onee-Chan...?" Aiden repeated, then added, "You mean... Selva?"
"S-S... Selva!" Lazira cried, rage boiling inside her, "How dare you call her with a nickname?"
She arked her back and threw her ring sword toward him.
Aiden lifted both daggers into an X, catching the ring mid-spin — the force shoved him back a few steps, boots grinding into the dirt.
He gritted his teeth. "Strong. I'll give you that."
Lazira laughed like she was losing her mind, her hair snapping in the wind. "You're not even worth the dirt she walks on!"
"Yeah?" Aiden shot back, shoving the blade off and flipping backward. "Let's ask her after I'm done kicking your ass."
Lazira growled, snapping her fingers. The ring sword spun back like a magnet. Aiden ducked, the blade slicing the air above him.
Then she dropped down from above, both legs out. Aiden tried to block, but he saw the sword blade coming back toward him, aimed straight for his neck.
He clicked his tongue, "Shit!" Then he said, "Fuck it..." Deciding to block the blade instead.
Larira grinned, smilling like a maniac.
Lazira smirked. "You're dead! You pathetic human!"
As Aiden blocked the blade, another figure came in betweeb then, foot slammed into Lazira from below, boot first, sending her spinning backward.
"You!" Lazira screamed midair.
"Luna!" Aiden shouted, still blocking, spotting her crouched low, fangs showing, eyes burning.
Luna glared up, voice low and furious. "Touch him again, and I'll tear your throat out!
She launched forward, kicking Lazira away so hard she bounced off a cart. The mana sword zippered back after her like a loyal pet.
"Luna..." Aiden called softly.
She spun toward him — then just ran straight into his arms. "Master!" She sobbed, hugging him tight like she'd been holding it in for years.
Aiden smiled, patting her head. "I'm fine, really."
"Master..." She said against his chest.
Aiden was surprised at first then smiled, hugging her back, "I am fine. Really."
And then came chaos again. His entire crew charging toward them, yelling their titles like a damn roll call.
"Sir Aiden!/Daddy!/Heart Lord!/My King!/Hero!/My Lord!/Sir!/Saviour!/Saviour!/Benefactor!/Onii-Chan!/Mii~!/Sir!/Sir!/Sir!/Chid Of Prophecy!"
Aiden just stood there surrounded by voices, blinking. Then he grinned. "Don't worry. We're fine."
Lazira stood a few meters away, jaw clenched, shaking with anger. "What the hell…?"
Everyone turned.
She pointed at Aiden, fury overflowing. "What's so special about this human, huh?! What's so damn good that my Onee-chan would abandon me for him!"
"He saved me." Luna said sharply.
"He saved my people." Lysandra added.
Leona raised her little hand. "He is my Daddy."
"He is strong." Arisha added.
"He gave me family and a place to call home." Ivy said, voice filled with emotions.
"He freed us!" Xylendra, Valeforia and Aethoniel said in unison.
"He saved the place where my family lived." Zerra added.
"He gave me a new life." Nyxion added.
"Mii~"
"My Lord saved me and Master." Venya cried.
Lazira norrowed her eyes.
Vegia blinked away tears. "He saved so many lives. Even when he didn't have to."
Serica, Varra, Seraphina, Nivara decided not to say anything.
The air went quiet. Lazira's hands shook.
Aiden just scratched his head, voice awkward. "Damn, girls… you're making this too emotional."
Venya smirked. "My Love d deserve it."
Luna nodded. "You really do."
Aiden laughed once, trying to act tough but wiping his eyes anyway. "I swear to god, how did I get this lucky?"
Instantly, the teasing started.
Nyxion leaned in. "Oh, you're crying?"
Luna grinned. "He looks cute when he does."
Leona giggled loud. "
"Daddy's a crybaby!"
Lysandra laughed, holding her tighter. "He is."
Aiden groaned. "Yeah, yeah, real funny."
Then — leave it to Thristle to ruin the moment.
"What Vegi-Chan said," She yelled proudly, pointing at Aiden, "But most importantly… he's got a BIG dick!"
The entire group went dead silent for two seconds.
Then—
Everyone turned on her at once.
Deadpanned faces, silent judgment.
Thristle frowned. "What? Am I wrong?"
Arisha blushed, sputtering. "Y-you're not wrong but still!"
Lysandra sighed. "That's supposed to be private, Thristle."
"Mummy... What's a D—" Before she could finished, Lysandra pressed a hand on her mouth.
"Nothing Love. It's not something you need to think about." Lysandra said instantly.
Serica smirked, "Good to know…"
Aiden just stared at her, arms crossed. "Oi."
Thristle coughed, grinning awkwardly. "Compliment?"
Venya facepalmed. "Thristle's hopeless."
"Oh, come on! Don't act like none of you were thinking it!" Thristle said defensively.
Nyxion smirked. "Maybe. But we don't say it out loud, dumbass."
"Yeah!" Leona added, totally missing the meaning. "No shouting!"
That broke everyone into laughter again. Even Luna, who was still shaking from earlier, giggled through her tears.
Lazira gritted her teeth, eyes burning. "Shut up," she hissed, voice cracking with rage. "Just shut up!"
She lifted her hand toward the sky — the ring sword hovering above her palm like it was alive. The air around her twisted, wind spiraling up in a violent rush.
The weapon began changing, its once-smooth edges splitting and reforming. The mana inside it screamed out, glowing brighter and brighter. Lines of red and black energy crawled across its surface, carving runes into the metal as it spun. The ring grew wider, thicker, sharper — the edges vibrating fast enough to slice the air open.
The storm howled around her, pulling dust and debris into the spiral.
"The storm howled around her, pulling dust and debris into the spiral.
"What is she doing?" Luna shouted over the roaring wind.
"Don't know," Serica said, hand on her blade. "But whatever it is, it's bad news."
"Girls, get behind me," Aiden barked, stepping forward, daggers drawn.
The ring sword pulsed like a heart, glowing pure white one second, blood red the next. The mana rising from it roared like a beast unleashed.Lazira arched her back and screamed, "DIE!"
She threw her arm forward — the ring blade blasted out, spinning so fast it cut through the wind itself. The entire street shook from the sheer force as it tore through the air.
The girls hid behind Aiden instinctively.
Aiden flipped both daggers around in his hands, stance fierce. "Do your worst!" he shouted.
The air exploded — but before it could hit them, a figure appeared out of nowhere, right in front of Aiden.
"Selva!" Aiden yelled.
"Onee-Chan!" Lazira cried out, eyes wide.
Selvara's twin Tekko-Kagi locked right around the spinning ring, sparks flying as she pushed back with all her might. The ground under her feet cracked from the pressure.
"Why?!" Lazira's voice broke, raw pain and rage tangled together. "Why did you leave me?!"
Selvara clenched her jaw, eyes trembling but steady. "Because…"
She twisted sharply, spinning with the weapon in her hands, using the motion to reverse the ring's momentum. Her voice cracked as she shouted, "…Because I FELL IN LOVE!"
Lazira's eyes went wide. She jumped back instinctively as the redirected ring blade flew past her, slicing straight through two nearby buildings. Both structures cracked apart before the weapon fizzled into nothing, vanishing like smoke.
Everyone froze.
The silence was heavy — then Aiden exhaled. "Damn…"
Selvara turned, breath uneven. "Are you all alright?"
"Yeah! Thanks!" The girls shouted together.
Selvara walked slowly toward Aiden, tears already forming. She reached up and cupped his cheek gently with her right hand. "I'm sorry."
Aiden blinked. "For?"
She swallowed hard. "…For lying to you. About him. About the Pale Hand's leader."
Her voice shook, small and soft.
Aiden sighed lightly, then smiled — that calm, reassuring kind of smile. He placed his hand behind her head and pulled her against his chest.
"Stupid girl. I am not angry." He assured, "Make thousand of them. Even after that, I will still love you. Like I love my others."
Selvara broke right there, sobs muffled against his chest as her hands clutched his shirt, shaking.
Aiden just stroked her hair, still smiling.
Lazira gritted her teeth, eyes widened in horror, "No... No... That's not my Onee-Chan. The Onee-Chan I knew wasn't so weak!"
Selvara looked back over her shoulder, tear-stained but defiant.
Lazira was already summoning again. Tears streamed down her face as her ring sword reformed midair, raw and raging with unstable mana.
"La-Chan, stop this!" Selvara shouted desperately.
And then something small — fast — shot past them with a blinding flash.
"Fluffynugget!" Ivy shouted.
"Mii~"
He launched toward her in full speed, glitters flying.
She looked toward him, still crying.
She looked up just in time, "Wait, what—"
Fluffynugget collided with the sliced up building behind her.
"Haa!" Xylendra, Valeforia and Aethoniel said in unison, surprised.
"It thought he was just cute pet." Valeforia said.
"Mee too." Xylendra added.
"Mee three." Aethoniel chimmed in.
Everyone gasped.
"Where is she?" Selvara demanded, scanning the sky.
"Look!" Luna pointed upward.
On top of a half-torn roof, Lazira was dangling in the arm of the Pale Hands leader, who looked both exhausted and annoyed.
"L-leave me!" Lazira shouted, struggling and fitgetting in the leaders arm.
"Phew..." He sighed, "You idiot. Standing in front of that weird glitter monster. You could've died."
Her face went red. "Just—let me go, damn it!"
He ignored her completely, adjusting her weight in his arm like she weighed nothing.
Then he looked down at Aiden with a faint smirk. "Boy… I don't think this is the best time for a serious talk, considering all the… family reunions happening." The he looked behind them, "And we got company."
Aiden arched an eyebrow. "Huh?"
"Sir!" called a voice from behind them.
Everyone turned at once.
Sylas and Sylara running toward them, holding hands, clearly out on a casual date.
Luna blinked. "Wait… you two were just on a date right now?"
Sylara blushed. "Uh… yes?"
Sylas nodded proudly. "It was going fine until the explosion."
Aiden tilted his head back toward where the leader had been. But when he looked again, both the man and Lazira were gone.Only silence and broken streets remained.
Aiden sighed. "Of course."
