Aiden watched the group disappear deeper into the mansion, Luna still glued to him like an adorable, clingy, possessive parasite.
Her legs wrapped around his hips, tail curled tight around his waist, arms around his neck like she was claiming territory.
He chuckled.
"Still not letting go?"
"Nope." Her voice was soft, stubborn. "I waited all day. I'm not giving up now."
He kissed her cheek. "You make it sound dramatic."
"It is dramatic," she mumbled into his neck. "Master disappeared for hours. I almost died."
Aiden smirked. "Tragic. Should I write a funeral speech?"
"Yes. And then kiss me afterward."
He snorted. "You're ridiculous."
"And you're stuck with me."
Aiden raised a brow. "Bold."
She finally looked up at him, ears perked high, eyes glowing with devotion that could probably start a cult.
"...Master," she whispered, "kiss me."
He tilted his head slightly. "Bossy today, huh?"
She nudged his nose with hers.
"Mm. Very."
Aiden leaned in—slow, teasing—watching her pupils widen like she just saw her favorite meal.
Luna shivered. "Don't tease..."
"That's literally my entire personality."
"Then change it."
Aiden laughed softly, then finally pressed his lips to hers.
Luna instantly lost every ounce of self-control.
Her hands slid to the back of his neck. She kissed him like she'd been starved. Like she'd been waiting all day. Like this was oxygen and everything else was optional.
He broke the kiss just long enough to breathe—
—but Luna didn't allow space.
She grabbed his jaw and leaned in again.
"No. More."
Aiden grinned against her lips.
"Someone's needy."
"Someone made me needy."
He lifted her a little higher in his arms and leaned his back against a nearby wall.
"You're adorable when you act like you'd crumble without me."
"I will," she said instantly. "I am very delicate."
Aiden kissed her again — slower this time, deep and consuming.
Luna melted, and a tiny involuntary sound escaped her throat.
Her ears shot up.
"...did you just whimper?"
"No."
"You did."
"No I didn't."
Aiden kissed her again — deliberately soft.
She whimpered again.
He pulled back with a smug grin.
"Caught you."
Luna grabbed his collar and growled softly.
"Stop talking."
"So you want more kissing."
"No — I want—"
She paused.
Then cupped his face gently.
"...I want everything."
Aiden froze.
"...Everything?"
She nodded. "Everything. Forever. Until the end."
He blinked at her. "That's dramatic."
"Shut up and love me."
He didn't argue.
Their mouths collided again — hungry, messy, intense.
Her tail tightened like she was afraid he'd disappear.
His hand slid up her back, fingers brushing the base of her ears.
Luna gasped.
"Master—"
Aiden smirked. "Oh? Sensitive there?"
"Don't—stop—"
"So stop?"
"NO—"
He kissed her again, and she tangled her fingers in his hair, tugging slightly.
Aiden hummed.
"Really aggressive today."
"I missed you," Luna whispered — soft and raw enough to silence him instantly.
No jokes.
No teasing.
Just truth.
Aiden rested his forehead against hers.
"...I'm here," he murmured. "I'm not going anywhere."
Her voice came quiet, fragile.
"...Promise?"
He kissed her again — gentle and slow.
"I swear."
She melted against him, clinging tighter like she finally believed it.
---
Everyone eventually ended up at the dinner table—though eventually was doing a lot of work, because the moment everyone tried to sit down there was one major problem:
There weren't enough chairs.
Aiden stared at the table.
"...There are definitely more people than furniture."
Thristle casually crossed her arms, chin raised smugly. "My King, your harem outgrew your table."
Aiden sighed. "Thanks, Thristle. Very helpful."
Vegia muttered under her breath, "Sir... next time... measure."
"Yeah yeah." Aiden waved a hand. "System, buy chairs. Same as these."
A soft ding echoed in his head.
A beat later—poof—chairs simply existed.
Selvara blinked. "...Seriously? He can just... buy chairs out of nowhere?"
Venya gasped and leaned forward like a gremlin discovering cake. "Venya wants one of those magic chairs. Venya will hoard them."
Aiden raised a brow. "Venya, I'm not letting you start a furniture hoarding hobby."
She puffed her cheeks. "Too late. Venya already planned it."
Nyxion laughed softly, tail lazily swaying behind her.
"Heartlord... you attract chaos."
Aiden nodded. "Yeah. I'm aware."
---
Eventually everyone sat.
Aiden sat beside Luna—who was still in a daze, cheeks red, tail occasionally twitching like her brain was playing highlight reels of earlier.
She leaned onto his shoulder, mumbling, "Still dizzy..."
Aiden whispered, just loud enough for her ears, "You kissed me like I owed you taxes, what'd you expect?"
Luna groaned softly. "...Don't remind me."
Across the table, Liri and Ivy sat together—so close their shoulders touched, both smiling like proud kids.
Fluffynugget sat on the table next to Ivy with what could only be described as smug ownership.
Leona sat happily on Lysandra's lap, kicking her legs.
Lysandra stroked her hair, voice soft and proud.
"Such a precious child..."
Leona puffed her cheeks.
"I'm not a child. I'm a strong warrior, like Daddy."
Lysandra smiled. "Of course. A very tiny one."
"...Hey."
Arisha sat quietly, straight-backed, cheeks faintly pink every time her eyes drifted to Aiden.
Thristle leaned back like she owned the table.
Nyxion sat with calm confidence.
Vegia looked like she was mentally calculating seating patterns.
Zerra sat politely.
Seraphina sat without saying much, glancing at Luna and then at Aiden like she was trying to decode an alien language.
Nivara... looked like she wanted to sit under the table and disappear.
Valeforia kept sipping water in silence like she was judging everyone.
Xylendra sat like a noble at a ceremony, absolutely composed, even if her eyes followed Aiden more than the food.
Athoniel sat near the corner—quiet, observant, wings tucked close.
---
Edda sat at the head of the table, cleared her throat, and clapped once.
"Alright. Eat."
Instant chaos.
Ivy leaned forward instantly.
"You made roasted chimera ribs?! Ma'am, you're a genius!"
Fluffynugget chirped in full agreement.
Liri quietly added, "Mamma's cooking is the best."
Edda smiled softly. "Thank you, sweetheart."
Thristle stabbed a portion of food with dramatic flair.
"My King's MILFY future wife knows how to cook for warriors."
Edda blinked. "...MILFY?"
Aiden rubbed his forehead. "...Don't worry about it."
Nyxion took a bite, eyes half-lidding.
"...Edda. This is divine."
Vegia nodded. "Sir... she's too good. This should be illegal."
Zerra smiled warmly. "Truly... hero-worthy."
Selvara tried to keep her expression neutral and cool.
She muttered, barely above a whisper,
"...It's fine."
Venya immediately pointed.
"Liar. Venya saw Master smiling."
"I was NOT smiling!"
"You were smiling."
"I—NO—"
Aiden leaned back in his chair.
"Selva."
"What?"
"You like it."
"I— I—"
He smirked. "You ate faster than everyone."
Her ears turned red.
"...Sh-Shut up."
Leona took a bite and instantly brightened.
"MOMMY THIS IS SO GOOD—WAIT—NO—THIS IS... UM... UH..."
She looked at Nyxion... then Edda... then Luna... then Lysandra.
Aiden placed a hand gently on her head.
"Just say: 'I love the food.' It's safer."
She nodded furiously. "I LOVE THE FOOD."
Everyone accepted that as the ideal solution.
---
Lysandra fed Leona a small bite and whispered, "Slow down, little one. You'll choke."
"I'm fine! I'm strong!"
Aiden raised an eyebrow. "You literally once bit bread too fast and cried."
"That bread betrayed me!"
Ivy giggled, hugging herself from laughing too hard.
Liri gently patted Leona's head. "Bread can be dangerous."
Aiden stared at her.
"Liri... bread is not dangerous."
"It can be," She said quietly.
Aiden sighed. "...I'm concerned."
---
Seraphina finally spoke.
"Edda, I want you as the head chief."
"T-thank you." Edda said, really happy.
---
Vegia looked between everyone.
"...Should someone say something formal? A dinner speech?"
Aiden waved it off. "No speeches. If someone gives a speech, Thristle will challenge it, Venya will claim the food as treasure, Selvara will deny enjoying anything, and Luna will monopolize me during it."
Luna, without lifting her head from his shoulder:
"...Correct."
"See?"
---
After a few minutes of calm chewing and soft conversation, Luna lifted her head slightly and poked his cheek.
"Master."
"Hm?"
She stared at him with the same look she had right before asking for something unreasonable.
"...Feed me."
Half the table paused.
Aiden blinked. "You... have hands."
"Emotionally tired. Cannot operate utensils."
Thristle nearly choked laughing.
Selvara froze mid-bite. "No way."
Nivara stared in horror. "She said that seriously?!"
Venya grinned. "Venya likes her confidence."
Nyxion tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Honestly... respectable."
Aiden chuckled and picked up a small bite of food with his fork.
"Fine."
Luna leaned forward with open mouth like a smug princess.
He fed her.
She purred.
Literally.
Leona stared at them with wide eyes.
"...I want Daddy to feed me too!"
Lysandra immediately lifted a fork.
"I am already feeding you."
Leona gasped dramatically.
"I AM BLESSED."
---
Seraphina suddenly leaned forward.
"...Sir Aiden."
"Hm?"
She stared him dead in the eyes.
"...Are all beast tamers like this?"
Aiden smirked.
"I never met others."
"...Then what are you?"
"A problem."
Nyxion nodded approvingly.
"A beautiful problem."
Venya raised a hand.
"Venya agrees."
Thristle pointed her fork like a sword.
"My King is chaos incarnate."
Selvara grumbled.
"He's annoying."
Aiden raised a brow. "You like me."
She flinched.
"...Shut up."
Ivy gently held Liri's hand.
"This is fun."
Liri nodded softly. "It feels... happy."
Aiden looked around the table—at chaos, laughter, shy smiles, feral personalities, competitive affection, and the overwhelming feeling that there was never going to be a normal moment ever again.
And honestly?
He wouldn't trade it.
He leaned back, rested an arm around Luna, and grinned.
"Alright. Everyone eat. After this, dessert. Then maybe—just maybe—I introduce the concept of bedtime."
