My SSS-Rank Dungeon: Reborn In A Reverse World

Chapter 137: Proof

Amber was as fearless as always. She stepped inside the cage and stared at the woman, who stared back with hopeful eyes.

"Remember something important. The potion is only a tool. The real battle is something you will have to do," Amber said as she closed in on her. "Fight hard."

She opened the vial and poured down the contents into the woman's mouth. She wasn't in a condition to do it herself, after all.

Once Amber was done with it, she backed to the side but didn't leave the cage yet. It was to make sure she could end the woman's suffering if things went wrong.

'I really hope everything goes well.'

While one of the reasons she entered was to safeguard Leon, the other reason was that she wanted to check up on the woman.

Their enemies were schemers, so she didn't want to let her guard down even for a moment. They could have used this moment to humiliate Leon, after all.

Since he had personally brought the Clearwill Potion himself, they could only meddle with the woman directly, so she came to check on her.

Fortunately, Amber didn't discover anything. But then again, their enemies were bizarre, so she still kept her guard up.

All eyes turned on the woman, with silence engulfing the entire stadium. Even those beyond the virtual seats were silent and praying to the dead gods for the potion to work.

Under their attention, the woman closed her eyes, as if she had drifted into some deep sleep. But everyone knew she was fighting a battle inside her Soul Core against the Corruption.

Leon stared at the woman while thinking, 'She was in a very early condition, so there shouldn't be any issues.'

Seconds turned into minutes as everyone waited patiently. Even if it meant waiting for an hour, they would do so happily if this potion was successful.

That was the value of the potion in their hearts.

Just as Leon was about to go check on her to see if everything was alright, changes finally began to show on her body.

The alien features, like the tentacles, shuddered and began to thrash around, but Amber casually deflected them all. She even flicked her fingers, which restrained the woman's restless body.

Then, the alien features once again shuddered before they exploded, filling the cage with black smoke. Fortunately, the cage had a barrier, so the black smoke remained trapped inside the cage.

As everyone stared at the cage with bated breaths, the smoke was cleared away by a single wave of Amber's hand, revealing a tall woman with two bone-like horns growing out of the side of her head.

Aside from that, all the alien features had disappeared, leaving a woman in tattered clothes, but even in that state, the woman had a wide, pleasant smile on her face.

Her joy could easily be seen on her lips, and everyone who looked at her also felt happy for her.

Leon glanced at Amber, who had an ugly look on her face, and then ignored her. He turned around and gave a dramatic bow, "Ladies and gentlemen, the experiment was successful, and as you can see, the Clearwill Potion works perfectly fine."

As if his words were on cue, the crowd shouted and cheered louder than ever. It was so deafening that even the sound barriers couldn't stop the noise from entering the arena.

Leon smiled at their enthusiasm and gave a side-eye to the VIP boxes. Murmurs could be heard from them, as they were also getting restless at the discovery.

'Good! Become curious and sponsor me. That is how I'll gain the support and standing to get what I want. Try to control me if you want, bitches. I'll be waiting for you.'

It wasn't like he hadn't considered worst-case scenarios. He was sure there would be people who would force him to sign the product with them or scheme to snatch it from him.

One easy way to do that was to claim that they had already made the Clearwill Potion and Leon stole it. There were many ideas that they could use against him.

And he wanted exactly that.

He wanted attention. He wanted people to notice him. Only in such a way could he accomplish his goals.

Of course, he had also made plans.

As his gaze moved sideways, he spotted Wei Xue in one of the VIP boxes. Sensing his gaze, the old woman smiled warmly at him and sent a mental message.

[The Wei Clan will support your claim, so you can be rest assured. In this industry, we will guard you.]

Her words sent mixed feelings into his stomach, but he still nodded gratefully at her. The Wei Clan would certainly be useful to him.

Then, he also noticed Emilia smiling at him, but unlike Wei Xue, hers was full of amusement. She winked at him and sent a mental message too.

[The Cross Clan loves human prodigies, especially with a brave heart like you. I can see your worries, so rest assured. My family will support you and protect you from these leeches.]

'This damn family,' Leon couldn't help but smile at her too.

All of it happened pretty fast, so nobody paid attention to his actions, especially since everyone was shouting and cheering in celebration for this grand discovery that would set humanity on a brand new road.

With this, they could even explore places in the Primordial Expanse they couldn't before. As for why that was necessary, anyone would know it.

In the Dark Era when Earth was nearly destroyed, humans lost a lot of technology, so how could they build such advanced technology so fast?

Well, the answer was they didn't build it but either stole it or took inspiration from the Primordial Expanse.

As the Corrupted Land which had devoured hundreds of thousands of civilizations, the Primordial Expanse held ruins of all of them.

Many of those civilizations were far more advanced than Earth, so humans explored those ruins, killed the Abyssal Creatures, and survived the treacherous journeys to obtain the relics that would help humanity advance further.

But there were still regions humans didn't dare to enter, and one of the most important reasons for that was the Corruption. Those areas held so much Corruption that humans would succumb to it before they even retrieved the relics.

But the situation had changed with the invention of the Clearwill Potion. With it, humans could explore the ruins that would advance them even further.

They would take one step closer to defeating the Corruption.

Of course, this needed to be celebrated. But not everyone celebrated. Many of them were busy thinking of ways to obtain the Clearwill Potion one way or another.

The value of the potion was simply too immense, so their greedy nature was coming to the surface.

Leon basked in the appreciation and praises of everyone. But Amber's next action stopped all of that.

She clicked her fingers as a cold wind instantly shut up everyone, as they turned to look back at the stage. Amber turned back to look at the woman following her and said, "You can express gratitude yourself."

The woman nodded before she ran towards Leon and dropped to her knees before him. With a beautiful face full of smiles, she said, "I can't express my gratitude, not with any of the words I know. So all I can say is that my heart is devoted to you. I'll forever be in your debt, so call me whenever you need, and I will get there as your sword."

"I don't need all that, but sure," Leon said with a smile. "Also, congratulations on getting better. Go and enjoy your day with your family."

At the mention of her family, the woman's eyes lit up as she nodded and said, "Then, I won't take more of your time. And once again, thank you for saving my life."

Then, she ran off the stage to find her family. After such a close encounter with death, she just wanted to hug them to sleep.

Leon turned back towards the crowd and said, "I believe this was enough to prove the authenticity of my potion, but I would still show you this."

He took out a slab of thin glass sheet which held all the information of the Clearwill Potion and the government giving a green ticket to it.

"The government has already checked the potion and allowed the usage of Clearwill Potion in the market."

Everyone was obviously happy at that, so they praised Leon even more.

"Now, let's get to the thing that you're all wondering. How can you get this potion, how expensive it's going to be, and who am I gonna give the rights to sell this for?"
