The next morning, Tyler woke up quite early. He didn't have a good night sleep. He was so excited about what the day was going to bring that he couldn't even peacefully sleep.

After he woke up, he freshened up and got dressed. When he finished dressing, he ordered a cab and left his apartment, straight to the airport. When he got to the airport, he waited for quite a few minutes. His grandma had booked an early flight so that she would arrive on time for everything.

When his grandma's flight landed, he went straight to the arrival terminal and waited for his grandma to walk out onto it. As soon as he saw her, he couldn't control himself and almost ran straight to her. He had too keep his composure though as he was in public so he settled for a fast walk instead.

Tyler wrapped his arms around his grandma as soon as he got to her, squeezing her in a tight hug.

"Alright, alright, that's enough". His grandma used her hands to tap him after a few seconds. "You keep forgetting that I'm quite old. You'll squeeze me to death if you aren't careful".

Tyler smiled when he heard his grandma's words. "Just yesterday you were talking about yourself in a lingerie".

"If you listened well, you'd also know that I was talking about a far younger me". Tyler's grandma said.

The pair bickered for a couple of minutes before Tyler lead her towards the cab that he booked. The cab drove for a few minutes before pulling over at the parking lot of a grand looking hotel.

"Don't tell me this is where I'll be staying for the night?" Tyler's grandma was wide-eyed as she took in the magnificence of the hotel that the cab driver pulled up to. "This is too expensive, I demand you take me somewhere cheaper. Just because you've started earning a few doesn't mean you should spend it recklessly like this!"

After the first few minutes of shock, Tyler's grandma started scolding him. Tyler smiled as his grandmother scolded him. He waited until she was done talking, then he took her hands in his.

"For the past ten years or so, I've seen you starve yourself and deprive yourself of some things just so you could get me a new training kit or the new football boots or some other silly thing just so that I can chase my dreams. Now that I'm getting paid or I can do it, there's nothing that going to stop me from treating me from the queen that you are". Tyler said gently.

By the time he finished talking, there were tears in his grandmother's eyes. Tyler smiled as he wiped the tears from her eyes and held her cheeks. "This isn't the time to cry grandma. Not even tears of joy, not yet. Save those tears for when you see me play and score in front of millions".

"You were raised well". She said as she sniffed and stopped crying.

"You raised me well". Tyler said as he hugged his grandma. "This is just the beginning. Just you wait until I start earning a bigger salary. You'll truly live like the queen you are. I promise you that, grandma".

Tyler helped his grandma settle into the hotel, supervising the staff as they carried her luggage to her room. After that, he left the hotel and rushed back to his apartment and got his bag containing his football boots and his other football equipment and nearly ran down to the Monaco Performance Center.

By the time he got there, a few players had already arrived but he was nowhere near being late. He went into the locker room and sat down on his spot, waiting for Adi Hutter to arrive and then share with them the starting lineup and any other tweaks he might've wanted to make to the game plan.

Adi Hutter arrived a few minutes later and told everyone to gather round.

"Alright boys, it's time for me to announce the starting lineup". Adi Hutter said. "In goal will be Phillip Kohn, he will be protected by Singo on the right, Henrique on the left and we'll have Kehrer and Salisu in the middle. Our pivot is going to consist of Musrati and Lamine Camara and on the wings, we're going to have George on the left, Tyler on the right and in the middle, we'll use Folarin and Biereth".

The starting lineup looked a bit like this.

Tyler had a grin on his face as he heard his name called out. He almost didn't believe it. On a normal day, he would've been angry that he was starting on the right as it wasn't really his favorite wing, but he didn't mind that today. All he cared about was the fact that he was going to play.

"Alright boys, let's show some love for Wilson. It's going to be his first match today and as talented as he is, he's going to make some mistakes, I need you to guide him on the pitch. I also need you to protect him. Some of the older players are going to come for him and try to bully him, I need you guys to treat him as you would a younger brother". Adi Hutter said.

The rest of the squad nodded, even George who was barely a year older than Tyler nodded making the seventeen year old to roll his eyes at him.

Adi Hutter then turned his attention to Tyler. "And you. Today, I'm putting a lot of trust in you. I could've made you come on in the last ten minutes but I made you start this match. It's a coin toss, a gamble, but I trust you to double everything I staked on you, so don't let me down. And remember, please fucking remember, you don't need to score a goal today. Just go out there, and play your football and if you're lucky it'll come to you".

"Yes gaffer". Tyler nodded slowly.

After he finished talking about the starting lineup, he talked a little bit about tactics, making a few tweaks to what he had already told them. A few minutes after he finished with the tactic talk, the team bus arrived and everyone boarded it.

Tyler felt a lot of nerves as he entered the bus. He was headed to the Stade Louis II for the fourth time, but this was the first time he was headed there as a player and not a spectator to watch one of their matches.

He took a deep breath as he boarded the bus and went to one of the seats at the back. George took the seat beside him, and as chatty as George was, the two of them didn't talk after greeting each other.

As the bus started moving to the stadium, Tyler heard a sound that almost made his chest explode.

A huge grin appeared on Tyler's face as he saw his new stats. He started rubbing his palms excitedly as he thought about the match that was going to happen in an hour or so. He was already confident about his abilities with his old stats, but the huge boost that he got all of a sudden made him a lot more confident.
