[<Gold Ore> <Rarity: Super Rare>]
"Jackpot! Heh~"
"Nyahh!!"
Eman exclaimed and grinned, and the cat also exclaimed with its eyes shining brightly. Eman glanced at the cat, and the cat looked at him. The two of them shared a delighted grin.
'The 'Fortune' in this cat's name truly brought justice to it,' Eman thought with a smile.
<Will that secure the financial support of the village, Host?>
"I can't say. I just hope it has more within it. But that's a good sign, isn't it?"
<Yeah.>
The cat tilted its head, wondering who he talked with, but Eman just disregarded it.
After stroking the head of the Fortune Cat lightly, he stood up and began examining the other part of the wall. He only stopped to take a quick break and fill his stomach.
He created a small stone boulder and sat on it. Then summon firewood from thin air and create fire using a lighter.
The cat was at first just watching him in amazement as he did all these unbelievable things. But soon, curiosity got the better of it. It looked around him, examining him like a detective who was trying to find clues for something.
Eman took his glove.
"This."
He showed a ring to the cat to satisfy its curiosity.
"It's a spatial ring. You can store objects in it," he explained even though he wasn't sure if there was a need to do that.
The cat stared at it with its eyes gleaming.
"Nyahh!"
"No, you can't have it."
"Nyah?"
"Uhm… it's a dangerous item to carry by the likes of you."
"Nyah…"
The cat looked sad all of a sudden. Its face was looking down.
Eman just smiled wryly.
Without minding the cat's reaction, he summoned three small boulders around the fire in triangular form. Then he produced a kettle from nowhere. A bottle of water appeared in his hand next. Eman then opened the lid and filled the kettle with the water from the bottle.
He placed the kettle on top of three boulders. At the bottom of the kettle is the blazing fire.
After that, a raw slice of meat pierced by a stick appeared in his hand, two of it. He then placed them around the fire, leaning to the kettle in a diagonal position.
While he waited for the water in the kettle to boil, the fire also cooked the meat on the sticks.
While waiting, he summoned his <Window Interface>. He began to think whether it was fine now to learn new elements. Since he had over a million Soul Points now in his possession, learning other elements would be very fine, he believed.
Also, he believed he had reached the threshold of proficiency in using the Earth Element, which was 50% of its true power.
The only problem was he could not use the full power of the elements unless he learned the <Spirit Enhancement> ability.
While thinking about this, he didn't realize that he had ended up in the Skill Scroll Section, where the list of skill scrolls that he could buy.
His eyes widened at that moment when he saw that the color of the <Spirit Enhancement> scroll was no longer grey.
"It is now available for purchase!"
Eman suddenly screamed and stood up from his seat.
The reason for it was probably the multi-kill he did last night. Just now he checked the Skill Scroll Section in his Market Interface after that incident, so just now that he noticed it.
Really, this was a bigger surprise. Now he could finally push forward his proficiency in any element he hoped to learn.
He didn't notice the cat was surprised and puzzled at his sudden action. Eman silently went back to his seat. He remembered something at that moment.
'Since the <Spirit Enhancement> scroll is now available to use, does that mean my Soul Energy has reached 1,000 points?'
With that question in mind, he went to check his Soul Energy and there he saw it. It was even 1,100/1,100 points.
Although he checked his stats and skills, he didn't check the bottom yet.
Now that his Soul Energy had reached 1,100, he wondered what came to his Soul Sea and his Soul Collection. These three were connected after all.
These three were also located at the bottom-most of his Stat Interface.
No wonder Eman felt his body had gone lighter and his senses had become sharper than before. It was because of the massive increase in his Soul Energy.
'Now I need to buy it and one other element to master.'
After saying that, he began pondering again which of the remaining elements he would buy this time.
He needed the element which he believed would help him more in his next step. After questioning Wilbert Dona last night, he learned many things. Also, after the Elder Dark Priest studied the brain of that Demonized person, he finally had a clue about this cult known as Burning Puppet.
And he was aware he was up against a dangerous group that he must not confront openly. So far, he needed to act stealthy like a phantom in the shadow. Well, not necessarily, but for real, he must avoid revealing himself to them if possible.
Who would have thought that the Blessed Church itself was the one backing that cult?
'This is insane,' Eman thought.
His initial thought was that someone from a big family was the one who was behind it, or if not, a criminal group was behind that cult. However, discovering that it was the church itself, was utterly surprising!
According to Wilbert Dona, the cult asked him for one thousand Elite Soldiers in exchange for their help in assassinating his brother, the Mayor. It also appeared that the cult was responsible for the rampage of those monsters.
Eman had no idea what they did to make the monsters go rampage like that. And it turned out even Wilbert Dona had no clue as well. Eman asked Wilbert Dona… that since he agreed to such an extent of letting the monsters rampage the town, then there must be a way to calm them back because if not, what was the point of taking the mayor's life? Isn't his goal to steal the mayor's position?
With that question, Wilbert Dona nodded his head. He said that the cult had promised him that they would calm those monsters after the heroic entrance of Wilbert Dona. In that situation, the people would be seeing him in a different light. And they would trust him at the bottom of their hearts.
Hearing that, Eman was quite angry. Just because of their ambition, they sacrificed so many innocent lives.
They are truly dangerous. That cult and this Wilbert Dona were the epitomai of madness.
That was Eman's honest thought when he heard Wilbert's reply.
After that night, he made many plans. But those plans could wait until the Elder Dark Priest finishes all the end products of the ring.
Regarding Wilbert Dona, he asked one of his men to deliver him to his brother, the mayor. Eman also handed the recorder. Wilbert's confession was recorded in it.
Although he wanted to give him to the Elder Dark Priest as a gift, he decided to let the mayor handle his brother. And also, Eman already got the information he wanted from him. Of course, he made sure that Wilbert Dona didn't spout lies.
Eman didn't want to return to that town as he was embarrassed by what he did. That's why he left that place without saying anything to them. He destroyed a big part of that town. He wondered if it would be still habitable later on. Well, that would not be his problem now.
Back to the present…
He proceeded with his plan. He bought a new Element Scroll and he also bought the Spirit Enhancement Scroll. He needed to check his Soul Dimension later.
Sometimes later,
He came out of the tunnel with a satisfied grin on his face. The cat was sitting on his shoulder while biting a small transparent rubber fish. The rubber fish was glowing brilliantly. It wasn't a special item or anything related to magic. It was just a cheap toy he bought in his Market Section inside his Window Interface. There was a LED inside it that could produce different types of glowing colors.
"Now, what will I do next?" Eman muttered to himself as he was standing in front of the entrance.
Something seemed different from him.
