Chapter 161: War Party Formation

There were a few important things to consider. They had to wait until the Valentine Clan could reopen the gate in another place. Because they weren't going to help being cut off. The risk would be too great. So the week of preparation was upon them. This meant they could deal with the other things.

Betsy, Layla, Kurt and Sara came together for a meeting about where everything should go.

"So we will be cut off from the other side?" said Betsy. "While you travel there."

"Not exactly," said Kurt.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, technically Sara could slip to Paul's Well and get to Hamlet."

"Wait what?"

They had to fill Betsy, and a bit of Sara in on how special Paul's well was. Being the first fae well on Earth was sort of a big deal.

"So why don't you just make a gate from Valentine to here, or there?" said Sara.

"That's actually a good question," said Betsy.

"It doesn't work like that."

"What do you mean one planet to another seems bigger than one place to another?"

"I can't make a gate to another place in this world," said Layla. "I've tried. I can only bring Kurt back because I get sent back without him. My well is a part of me."

"Okay, so what do we need to do?"

"Well," said Kurt, "we need to hide a dragon on Earth."

"A what?"

More details were then added to the conversation for Betsy about the plan.

"So because Valentine's gate is too small you need to bring him to Earth, go to the Castle then open the gate and bring him."

"Talk about being lazy," said Sara.

"Even you wouldn't say that to his face," said Kurt. "He is the size of a mansion."

"Damn."

"Well," said Betsy looking at the map. "It has to be near the peaks. Right? Since they can fly. That should separate us."

They all talked about various areas. But it seemed unlikely he wouldn't be noticed for a whole week.

"I mean we don't need to be this careful right," said Sara. Everyone turned. "It's not that long, anyone who sees him will be called a lunatic."

That was true and a decision was made quickly after that. They would only need a small detour but they would have to wait for longer than Betsy would like to move again.

After the meeting, Kurt was surprised to see Jacob and an even girl next to him. The girl had nudged him looking a bit awestruck by Kurt's and the higher-ups' presence. Jacob had a backpack on which was also unusual.

"Kurt," said Jacob.

"Yeah what's up?"

Jacob god elbowed in the side by the women, "This is Stacy."

"Nice to meet you Stacy."

Stacy smiled and bowed, "It is an honor, Sir Kurt."

"So I assume you are here for a reason."

"Unn, yeah," said Jacob rubbing the back of his head, "the thing is Stacy really really wants to meet the Kitsune."

"Okay so go see it."

Stacy's eyes widen like calling the Kitsune an it was in completely bad form.

"Well the elves and the Minotaurs are not," said Jacob.

Kurt turned towards Stacy, "they aren't causing the elves any trouble are they."

"No sir," said Stacy, "it just we don't normally congregate and the Kitsune is you know…what was the word you used, Jacob…holy."

"I see," said Kurt. "We actually I do have some business that deals with them we could go now."

Stacy's eyes lit up, "Are you sure? I wouldn't want to…."

"No, no. Let's go."

Stacy gave a huge smile to Jacob and grab him almost jumping up and down at the prospect. Jacob looked back with some helpless eye to the girl's enjoyment.

They were on their way to the Minotaurs encampment.

"Thank's man," said Jacob, "I don't really get it but she really wants to see it."

"So this is the one you were talking about before?"

"Yeah," said Jacob.

All elven women are beautiful, even with the slightly distortions of their legs and arms. Which were noticeable longer than a human's proportions. Their pointed ears would move seemingly half one command and half based on their emotions. Stacy was a bit shorter for an elf actually but still taller than Jacob. They had magnificent curves though as beside some of the proportions being different they were basically human forms.

"She seems nice enough," said Kurt.

"Are you talking about me?" said Stacy. And they looked back but when she met Kurt's eyes she turned about "nevermind my lord."

"Don't be like that," said Kurt, "I'm sorry we were. I haven't seen Jacob and he was sort of bragging about you. You know how he is."

Stacy blushed a little, "really?"

"You know it babe," said Jacob.

Soon after they reached the encampment. Stacy and Jacob stopped much before. But Kurt waved them on. It wasn't like anyone there would attack him. Again. Right?

Stacy grabbed Jacob's arm as they walked through the Minotaurs to the center of the camp. In front of the cave made by Simon 's blast that the Kitsune had made its nest.

Boris made his way through a crowd and came up to Kurt.

"Lord Kurt!" what brings you here.

"We are forming are war party, and we're hoping some here would volunteer."

"It would be my honor!" said Boris.

"The thing is Boris, we need you here. You one of the strongest and we many of ours going you might be the strongest one left here to defend everything."

"I see," said Boris, huffing a snort from his Bull head, "we can't leave here undefended."

"But there are many among you that should deserve the honor. Of joining the party."

"This is true. How many do you need?"

"Ten to fifteen would be fine. Including the goatmen as well. The exact arrangement is up to you." This would be about one fourth of their numbers at the time. Kurt didn't know how to tell if any were female or male and never asked.

From the cave a slight glow appeared and started to come closer.

"Ohh my gods," Stacy whispered to Jacob, "it really here."

"Ahh you have offerings for the Kitsune," said Boris.

Stacy nudged Jacob who took off the backpack he was wearing. Jacob said "Well I wasn't sure what would be appropriate." Removing an tied up object.

The Kitsune had come out from its cave and Stacy made a high pitched hum like she was trying not to scream. Trotting a little with it six tails wagging along. And up to Kurt and made a bowing motion. He remember the Kitsune was much smarter than it appeared.

"So what did you bring?" said one of the Goatmen.

"Well," said Jacob, untying the object. It unfolded. It couldn't be explained as anything else but a pet's bed. Like something you get for a dog, the six-tailed fox wasn't considered a pet. "I didn't know if he had a nice place to sleep."

Kitsune came up to the bed. It was round and large enough for three of him. A soft paddle ground and a little wall with an opening as an entrance. And trotted into it, ran around in a little circle and laid down. Giving off seemed to be approving barks.

Stacy was hyperventilating. "Do you think I could…pet him?"

Kitsune turned up to face Stacy and gave a weird smile and nodded. And found his way back to his original position.

Stacy slowly made her way down to the small six tailed dog and slowly petted him. Her jaw dropped and looked at Jacob like she was about to explode. "He. He. He is so soft and lovable and beautiful. Just the cutest little thing in the world," speaking faster and faster.

"I'm glad you like you new bed little guy," Jacob said.

"Not the normal offering," said one of the goatmen, "but he seems more than pleased."
