Patrick and his team increased their pace, walking past scattered bones like they did at the start.
"Luckily, we set the experience to be shared equally when we formed the party. If not, this whole dungeon run would have given us nothing." he said softly, making the others nod in response.
"You've learned quite a lot of stuff." Alicia said, shaking her head slightly, "You can always earn experience but having someone like him on the team is a rare thing."
Kenji nodded as he felt the pills in his pocket, "Yes, he's very generous. Oh there he is."
Amon sat in front of the boss room's doors which were slightly open and when he heard the group arrive, he turned to look at them.
"Finally here! Let's go!" he exclaimed and pushed the door open before walking in.
Unlike the goblin dungeon, the doors did not close this time but there were almost a hundred skeletons inside.
"Wow… that's a lot of them." Amon said as Patrick walked over to stand beside him.
"Yeah, they don't just fall onto the ground as bones in this room. They become a powder. Once all the skeletons are defeated, the bone powder converges and forms a huge dog. Once we beat that, we're done."
Amon nodded, "Cool. Show me how you guys do it normally. I'll chill right here and join in if one of you needs help."
Patrick didn't say a word and just rushed in before using taunt, aggroing every single skeleton. They all began to run towards him but they were pretty slow.
Amon watched as Patrick began to run in circles, making the skeletons crash against each other as they tried to follow him.
Patricia raised her staff and conjured her spell, blizzard.
A large, pale blue ring formed in the air and the skeletons below it slowed down.
'Hmm… should I test out my mana weaver a little? If it works, I should be able to take on the role of a support too.' Amon thought as he focused on the mana that formed the pale blue ring in the air.
Slowly, he injected mana into it and guided the circle to enlarge.
More and more mana went into the spell and the radius began to increase, soon enveloping every single skeleton.
'It works.' Amon mused as he smiled inwardly.
As for Patricia, she stared at her own spell in absolute disbelief before turning to look at Kenji who also looked pretty surprised.
It was only after this, that she spotted Amon staring at the circle she had conjured.
'Was this done by him too?' she thought as she shifted her attention back to the skeletons as she got ready to cast her spell again since it's duration was about to end but it kept going.
Amon went on his third trial after the range increase and duration increase.
'Now… show me what happens when I inject excess mana to increase the radius before compressing it back down.' he thought as he put it into action.
The circle grew in size until it covered the whole room but it only lasted for a moment before shrinking back to cover just the skeletons.
Originally, their speed went down by 20 percent but now their speed had almost halved.
Kenji used his skills to buff everyone's vitality, defence, speed and strength and they lasted for quite a while so even he turned to look at Amon as no one in his team could do something so bizarre.
No one except Amon.
Alicia shifted her attention too and Jordan did the same.
"What? Go and do your job. Aren't you the damage dealer?" Amon frowned as he looked at Jordan, who immediately looked away and rushed in.
He hacked and slashed at the skeletons mindlessly, his speed increased as seconds passed.
Amon watched as the skeletons fell at a quick pace, turning into white dust.
'He's good at slashing randomly but he looks like an absolute idiot while doing it.' he thought as he shook his head.
Even though Jordan didn't look cool, his method was very effective. The skeletons fell fast and soon, every single one of them had fallen.
"Ready." Patrick said as she took a few steps back. Amon dispersed the spell as he saw Jordan rush back to the team.
Three seconds later, the bone dust began to converge into a single spot before it slowly began to form a huge dog made of bone.
'I thought it would be a skeleton but looks like an actual dog… or should I say a wolf? Hmm… impressive.' Amon mused as he watched it take form and once the process was complete, it's eyes glowed green.
Patrick yelled, using his taunt to get the dog's attention as he raised his shield and at the same time, Patricia used her blizzard.
Amon just watched this time and did not interfere.
While the dog was slowed, Kenji gave out his blessings just on time before Patrick got smacked by its paw.
Patricia dispelled her area of affect spell and conjured five spears made of ice before shooting one of them at the dog.
Jordan followed behind the spear and the moment it struck the boss, he went completely on the offensive.
It was just for a second before he hopped back out of the dog's range.
Amon nodded slightly, 'One second but eleven slashes.' he thought as he glanced at the second spear that flew towards the wolf, hitting it exactly two seconds after the first one.
Jordan went in again while Patricia prepared another spell. Three small spheres of yellow lightning formed in front of her and hovered in place.
The offence continued with Jordan dealing massive amounts of damage in the time he had. Patrick merely kept the aggro on him, spamming taunt right before Patricia's spells hit the dog.
As for Kenji, he kept his buffs active at all times. Recasting them perfectly every single time.
Once the spears were exhausted, the balls of lightning flew towards the boss, stunning it for half a second and reducing it's defence by a certain amount.
She chained them perfectly, giving Jordan 1.5 seconds to wreak havoc.
Seeing this Amon just stood in silence.
'Perfect teamwork… just beautiful.'
