This Summoner Is Too Powerful

Chapter 171: [Rodent] Entry

Li Pu had previously envied Senior Jiang's Spiky Mouse.

So he wanted to choose the entry "Mouse Species" as his main direction.

There are quite a few species-related entries, but they're basically on the same level.

In the entry library, there actually are entries like "Sub-dragon Race," "Noble Breed," "Rare Bloodline," and such.

Just now, out of curiosity, he clicked on one entry, only to find it occupied five or six entry slots, which were completely beyond his qualifications to choose.

From certain aspects, mouse-type summoning beasts have quite a few advantages.

Firstly, in their battle form, they're mostly small-sized, thus they possess agility and stealth characteristics.

Agility makes them less likely to be targets in combat.

Additionally, since they're not easily noticed or detected, they're often well-suited for reconnaissance missions.

Secondly, mouse-type summoning beasts are generally quite intelligent.

Thinking of this, Li Pu turned to look outside the hall.

"Grass!"

"Roll!"

At this time, the Straw Doll was playing with the Rolling Turtle as if it's a big rolling wheel, having a great time.

"Hmm, definitely need to summon a smart one."

He reaffirmed his idea.

If he chose "Intelligent" separately, it would require occupying one entry slot.

So, why not be a bit clever and directly choose a race with a higher probability of being intelligent, thus saving an entry slot?

If there's a downside to mouse-type summoning beasts, it might be their general laziness and lack of enthusiasm for training.

However, since he could directly upgrade them through "Sacrifice," Li Pu didn't care about the laziness.

And if it could be like the Spiky Mouse, with a wide-area group attack ability, that would be even better.

So with the mindset of trying, he clicked on the "Mouse Species" entry.

"Mouse Species"

"Number of summoning symbols meeting requirements: 133"

"Are you trying to follow Senior Jiang's path?"

"That's not a bad idea, if your goal is clear, it's easier to filter."

Wu Guinan understood Li Pu's intention and expressed approval.

"But 133 is still too many, when could you finish selecting?"

Li Pu certainly couldn't choose just this one entry.

So he clicked the touchscreen again.

"Minimum E~D level" "Mouse Species"

"Number of summoning symbols meeting requirements: 51"

After filtering, the range was narrowed again.

But for Li Pu, this still wasn't enough.

Click once more.

"Minimum D+ level, Mouse Species"

"Number of summoning symbols meeting requirements: 9"

"Now, it's easy to choose."

Looking at the nine options, Li Pu felt satisfied.

Based on past experience, he purposely left an entry slot unchosen just in case.

In this entry list, there's one entry he saw earlier.

"Minimum C level, Mouse Species, Giant"

This was seen earlier within the "Minimum C level" range.

Seeing the "Mouse Species" entry is what led to his current thought.

This summoning symbol is actually exchangeable for him.

"Minimum D+ to C level," just right to use an entry slot.

But this "Gigantification" goes against his initial intention, so he doesn't plan to choose it.

This means only 8 meet the requirements.

Exclude those with negative or bizarre sub-entries, leaving 6 options.

1. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Pointy-nosed, Weak"

2. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Skilled in Long-Range Attacks*, Young Tooth"

3. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Flying*, Blind"

4. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Bullies the Weak, Fears the Strong"

5. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Berserk Type*, Slightly Foolish"

6. "Minimum D+*, Mouse Species*, Heavy Armor*, Slow"

"What do you think?"

Having read through the 6 summoning symbols, Li Pu asked Wu Guinan.

Actually, he already had a rough idea, but hearing Wu Guinan's opinion doesn't hurt, and might provide some reference value.

"Firstly, 1 and 4, definitely not choosing those."

"You have a 4-level summoning symbol, so if you don't use up all 4 entry slots, it would feel wasteful."

Wu Guinan's words made sense.

"And what's with number 3, a blind flying mouse species, isn't that just a bat?"

"Might as well choose the 'Bat Species' entry instead, it saves 1 slot compared to 'Mouse Species' + 'Flying' + 'Blind'."

Then he criticized the number 3 summoning symbol.

"As for number 5, berserk-type summoning beasts seem foolish to me anyway, so this negative sub-entry doesn't seem to matter much."

"Number 6 is more like my turtle, maybe it'll summon a Rolling Mouse?"

At this point, Wu Guinan's analysis closely matched Li Pu's thinking.

"So I choose 'Young Tooth'."

It's just the last sentence where his tone was slightly ambiguous.

"Are you insane?"

Li Pu regretted.

Suddenly, he felt Wu Guinan's opinions were completely worthless.

Perhaps all his previous analysis was just to build up for the "Young Tooth" option.

The problem is, what's special about a young mouse??

But yet, although his starting point was wrong, the answer turned out to match Li Pu's expectation.

Of course, Li Pu wasn't interested in the "Young Tooth."

He valued "Skilled in Long-Range Attacks."

Although Straw Doll can craft fireballs, it's ultimately focused on close combat.

And himself, more so, has only close combat methods.

So adding a new member skilled in long-range attacks would stabilize the team structure more.

As for the "Young Tooth" entry, he didn't mind at all.

To use an imperfect analogy, people say "first child is treasured, second is grass," meaning parents treat their first child like a treasure due to inexperience, while the second one is treated more casually with gained experience.

Li Pu treats even the first like grass, much less the second.

Even if it summoned a baby mouse, he believed the Straw Doll would play the good brother role and take good care of it.

If faced with such a situation, Straw Doll would have to do it even unwillingly, otherwise all those cola purchases would go to waste.

Of course, Li Pu understood "Young Tooth" isn't literally a baby, he was clear on that part.

Yet making an instant decision was a bit too hasty.

So he looked at nearly ten other interesting direction entries, compared, and after careful consideration, finally decided on the "Minimum D+ Mouse Species" number 2 entry.

"It's settled, it's you."

Saying so, he clicked confirm.

"Congratulations on successful exchange."

"Being retrieved now, please head to the second floor to await collection."

With the selection finished, the mechanical voice sounded once more.

"Let's go, let's go, hurry to the second floor!"

Wu Guinan rubbed his hands eagerly, appearing even more excited than Li Pu.
