This Summoner Is Too Powerful

Chapter 240: Card Creation Analysis

First, over the past couple of days, Li Pu acquired several valuable cards.

By valuable, it means that they are somewhat better than the cards from his Southern Forest card pool.

Among them, three cards have the highest ranks.

[Big Cloud Wolf] - 10 points, C

Attack 5, Defense 5

[Cloud Riding]: Every 3 turns, Big Cloud Wolf can attack twice in the current turn.

[Wolf Leader]: After a friendly card exits the field, Big Cloud Wolf gains a +1/+1/+1 for 1 turn.

This card isn't particularly strong.

Its aggressive attack isn't aggressive enough, and it's not able to build momentum, lasting only one turn.

So yesterday, Li Pu fused it.

[Big Cloud Wolf] + [Mushroom-eating Lizard] = [Mushroom Wolf]

The newly fused card can be said to be slightly stronger than before.

[Mushroom Wolf] - 10 points, C

Attack 5, Defense 5

[Cloud Riding]: Every 3 turns, Mushroom Wolf can attack twice in the current turn.

[Mushroom Wolf]: Every time a mushroom card exits the field, Mushroom Wolf gains a +3/+3/+3 for 2 turns.

The attack and defense stats didn't change, but the skill change from [Wolf Leader] to [Mushroom Wolf] has been a considerable improvement.

Li Pu can't control whether others bring mushroom cards, but at least he can decide whether to bring them himself.

If he has to categorize [Mushroom Wolf], he'd call it a revenge card.

For example, after [Shield Mushroom] gets knocked out, [Mushroom Wolf] will become much stronger in the next turn.

Besides [Big Cloud Wolf], there are two other cards.

[Herbal Bear] - 12 points, C

Attack 6, Defense 6

[Bear Nature]: Herbal Bear gains an additional 3 life points.

[Herb Nature]: When Herbal Bear enters [Defense] status, it gains 1 life point of [Healing].

Surviving in the Illusionary Mist, it's hard to tell whether it's a bear or a plant magical beast.

This card is a card with strong survivability.

With high points, high health, and self-healing.

Coupled with its 6 attack points, honestly, Li Pu thinks it would be very OK to use as a trump card.

But given his current scarcity of cards, putting it in the front row as a tank card is more optimal, as he doesn't have many tank cards.

Paired with [Shield Mushroom], the two cards are only worth 19 points, when averaged, it's even below the average score of 10 points per card slot.

As for the other card, it's the Sasha Mushroom King obtained today.

It was a surprise for Li Pu, as it's actually a B-level card.

[Sasha Mushroom King] - 10 points, B

Attack 4, Defense 6

[Sandy Fist]: Sasha Mushroom King's attack can prevent the target from attacking the card directly in front of it for 1 turn, CD 2 turns

[Mushroom King]: Upon revealing, Sasha Mushroom King increases the Defense of all revealed friendly mushroom cards by +2

[Sand Layer Skin]: When Sasha Mushroom King takes damage greater than or equal to 2, it reduces damage by 1

If Li Pu had to describe the value of this card to himself, it would be precious.

Because this is his first B-level card.

Moreover, it's not just a tank card but also a synergy card.

Initially, without considering other positions, just the tank formation of [Herbal Bear] + [Shield Mushroom] + [Sasha Mushroom King] has already included two mushroom cards.

This already allows the synergy effect of [Sasha Mushroom King] to fully manifest.

Additionally, [Sandy Fist] is a very strong skill.

"The target cannot attack the card directly in front of it," can protect friendly cards based on the attack target chosen by Sasha Mushroom King.

If placed in a 3+1 single-row setup, it effectively blocks the attack for 1 turn every 2 turns, making it almost invincible.

The last ability, [Sand Layer Skin], is a quite powerful self-preservation feature.

Li Pu has personally experienced the capability of Sasha Mushroom King.

At the time, Bubu's flying kick was basically just scratching an itch for it, causing no damage.

Even if he applied less force with his whip kick, it couldn't break through the sand skin.

With [Herbal Bear] + [Sasha Mushroom King] + [Shield Mushroom], he has gathered the three tank cards needed for his 6+1 setup.

However, there is still an opportunity for fusion today, so he's considering whether he can boost [Herbal Bear] or [Sasha Mushroom King].

Considering the 6+1 and 9+1 setups, [Herbal Bear] and [Sasha Mushroom King] still have weaknesses.

First, let's talk about [Herbal Bear].

The strength of a card isn't entirely linked to the actual beast.

These two cards are the best examples.

In terms of actual beast strength, Sasha Mushroom King is definitely more formidable than Herbal Bear.

One Sasha Mushroom King could easily take down a group of Herbal Bears, but the Herbal Bear card is stronger than the Sasha Mushroom King card.

But that's where the problem lies.

Li Pu feels that the strength of Herbal Bear, or rather the points, is slightly too high.

A tank card should specialize in being a tank.

After all, most of their actions might be [Defense].

High attack power often doesn't have much opportunity for use.

So in his vision, the ideal tank card is one with high defense and low attack, with points not exceeding 10.

A 12-point [Herbal Bear] would affect the subsequent card arrangement.

Don't underestimate those extra 2 points; in a card game, even 1 point of score/life/attack/defense could be a crucial factor in determining victory or defeat.

Let's talk about [Sasha Mushroom King]; its problem is, from a certain perspective, the opposite of [Herbal Bear].

That is, its strength is somewhat low.

Because its role is not just as a tank card.

The soft control every 2 turns and the collective enhancement from the synergy effect all elevate its value above that of a regular tank card.

Such a card placed in the first row could easily become the focus of enemy attacks.

Then Li Pu would face a dilemma.

That is whether to use [Defense] to block enemy fire or to use soft control to protect allies.

Unlike the 3+1 setup, the 6+1, 9+1 setups contain many cards.

Under the concentrated attack of numerous cards, even with [Sand Layer Skin], [Sasha Mushroom King] would still find it lacking.

So, Li Pu has clear directions for enhancing these two cards.

He hopes [Herbal Bear] can lower its score by sacrificing attack power.

As for [Sasha Mushroom King], increasing its life/defense could improve survivability.

Honestly, the former shouldn't be too hard to achieve.

He has plenty of unused junk cards in his card pool to use as material.

As for enhancing [Sasha Mushroom King], caution is needed.

After all, it's the only B-level card he has so far.

If there's no suitable material for fusion, it can wait until later.

However, out of curiosity, Li Pu wants to preview what would happen if he fused these two premium tank cards, [Herbal Bear] and [Sasha Mushroom King].

Thinking it over, he decided to open the [Card Creation] panel.
