(Okay…. So, if I try to…. No. Nope.) – thought Thauma as it put the core inside the dirt golem and activated it…. Only for the golem body to collapse few seconds after activation.

(Begin experiment 13.) – thought Thauma as it put the new golem core into a pile of earth, before then activating it, causing a golem to be born.

(Okay…. Working. Alive. Not collapsing. No rampaging mana or anything.)

(Golem. Attack the dummy.) – Thauma ordered the earth golem to attack training dummy, starting the test… Which only lasted few minutes.

(Enough. Stop the training.) – Thauma stopped the golem in its tracks, before then the dungeon master approached the humanoid golem made out of earth.

(Hm…. There were no results.)

(The golem core, it does posses the elemental attribute. It has been implanted into the golem…. However.)

(The performance of the golem has not changed one bit.)

(Thanks to the earth affinity, the golem could possess an earth elemental type of mana… But even with it, there was no changes at all. Be it from inside or outside.)

(It still taking and doing the same amount of damage as the regular test golem.) – thought Thauma before then stabbing the test golem right in the chest and ripping out its golem core, resulting in the golem body collapsing.

(Nothing truly has changed with the golem…. Was my assumption wrong?)

({Earth Enchantment Magic: Solid Ground} is a spell I can use to boost the earth around me or an earth manifested by me.)

(If I could maybe make a golem that has entire body covered in this enchantment…. But wait, wouldn't that end up using up golems own mana? It isn't about mana circulation anymore; it will be a spell casting.)

(Even if I were to add an ability the golem where it could cast this one specific spell, it would continuously use up its own mana…. And then it would just shut down.)

(The golem wouldn't be able to fight for long time after its activation... No… This plan is out of question.)

(Then should I forge an item skill that would have a similar effect?)

(From my observations, the skills have different…. Well, sometimes their power depends on the "conditions" or "downsides".)

(For example, item skill [Attack] is inferior to [Sharpness] when it comes to enchanting blade sharpness.)

(But in exchanged, it can only do that, the sharpness.)

(If I make the item skill which can only boost the performance of the earthly body of the creature…. It should work…. But how about using earth mana?)

(According to the book, the item cannot just have elemental-based item skill, without having appropriate elemental affinity.)

"From what I understand, you were about that dungeon for a longer time…. So why has it not been dealt with or at least tamed? Why has this dungeon been allowed to run rampant?" – asked the elven princess.

"….Because of two things." – replied the nervous king.

"The first reason is profit."

"As you know, our kingdom ended up wasting a lot of money because of the war and we needed to secure enough funds to start recovering."

"And this is also the main reason why I had delayed the meeting with the elven king for months. I just couldn't physically leave the kingdom that was left in such messy state."

"The moment I would, the kingdom would just break apart."

(And I also didn't wanted to meet that bastard now and show my "weak" face right in front of his face.)

"And the second reason is related to the war."

"The control over that territory ended up becoming completely…. Unstable."

"Nobody really had any control…. And once the war ended, we tried to take back the lost territory, including the dungeon…. Which ended up with us discovering the new state of the dungeon."

"This dungeon is located in the territory that is right next to the border between our two nations."

"Well then… Here we are." – said the king as he took the map off the knight hands and spread it out on the table.

"First thing first. Do you have any territories that you wish to acquire from us? Did the elven king made any suggestion and such?"

"Yes." – replied the princess.

"One of the territories that we want is the Mevon territory." – said the princess, which ended up instantly shifting the mood in the entire room.

"Care to repeat that?" – asked the king with serious expression as he stared at the princess.

(Fuck me…. This is the worst.)

(Did these bastards found out the true value of the golem dungeon?!)

"What is wrong?" – asked the princess with innocent expression.

"We understand the danger that the said dungeon posses and we know that it cannot be left untouched."

"Yes. I understand that. But I cannot hand over this territory. It is far too dangerous and unstable." – replied the king.

"Indeed, it is." – stated the princess.

"And this danger needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. From what I've also heard is that this dangerous dungeon even costed the life of your general, which is to show that this dungeon cannot be left alone any longer."

"And from what we understand, your kingdom is already dealing with far too many problems right now, correct? Do you have forces to spare to deal with this problem?"

"So we will handle this problem for you."

"Unfortunately, we need to least have a WORD here about what we will be getting."

"You don't want to abuse our trust anymore, don't you?"

We tried to deny the claims or silence the flow…. But it was already too late for us to stop the chaos from growing larger.)

"We will deal with all the problems, so neither your or our kingdom would suffer from the hands of these monsters."
