With the main army of the golems being dealt with, the adventurers really had nothing to worry about regarding taking over the forest.

After spending enough time in their camp to recover and deal with their wounds, the adventurers that were still able to fight ended up once again exploring the forest.

However, they did not encountered any form of resistance from the golems.

Simple put, the remaining forces that were still within the forest were nothing to the adventurers as they easily dealt with any stranglers while not suffering any more casualties.

Thanks to that, the take over of the forest was finally completed taken over the city, finally bring peace to the monster infested forest.

"Huh….I've thought…. Honestly, I've though we would face 1 or 2 more armies of the same size as the one from before?" – said Elizabeth as she stared at the group of adventurers, gathering up the golem remains and throwing them on the pile.

"Well… This maybe a good sight…. Or a bad sight." – said Mawa.

"?"

"What do you mean?" – asked Elizabeth.

"Well, it could mean many different thing."

"First, lets say they are positive in a sense."

"The dungeon specializes in producing strong monsters over numbers, meaning that the dungeon cannot produce a large army in a course of a month and so on."

"That means that the dungeon is still low ranked dungeon."

"However, I doubt that."

"Considering the amount of golems we had seen and the one that were reported before by the adventurer guild, the dungeon isn't exactly low rank, maybe low-mid…Somewhere in those areas, but definitely not some low rank."

"Which leans more to the bad kind of vision."

"The dungeon is preparing to defend itself."

"Maybe it has ordered all the monster back to the dungeon?"

"Then again, we did saw some golems roaming around in the forest, so maybe it isn't the case either?"

"…"

"Either way, the lack of the monsters is worrying."

"We should expect a big fight once we made out way into the dungeon."

"Well, the preparations are pretty much almost over." – said Adam as he approached the pair.

"We secured the entire forest and we located the dungeon."

"Once we set up small base right outside the dungeon, we will be able to go right into the dungeon."

"Huh…. So, are we doing it today?" – asked Elizabeth.

"Well…. Maybe? We could still go into the dungeon before the sun sets." – replied Adam.

"Hm….Okay. Let's do it." – said Elizabeth.

"Once we all are okay, we can go and try to take down the dungeon. No problem with that, right Mawa?"

"…"

"Yea…." – said Mawa with conflicted expression.

"…"

"Say, how many of those small golems remains did we gathered?"

"?"

"Why-"

"Just say it." – said Mawa before Adam could reply.

"…"

"Let me check." – said Adam as he walked away.

"….Hey, what is going on?" – asked Elizabeth.

"These small golems." – said Mawa.

"We still don't know what they do, do we?"

"All of these golems had function."

"But these small ones? They did nothing."

"They only observed and such."

"We confirmed an existence of at least 4 of them… With a possibility of there being more than 4."

"And we had hunted down exactly 2."

"We checked their bodies, but they were straight up equipped with nothing."

"Honestly, out of all the golems we had encountered, I think I'm most scared about these small ones." – said Mawa as Adam made his way back to the group.

"Bad news." – said Adam.

"There is nothing."

"?!"

"Nothing?! What about the ones-"

"Also asked just in case, but they said the same thing. We did not recovered even single new small golem body." – said Adam before Elizabeth could finish speaking.

"…"

"Shit…Okay, change of plans." – said Mawa.

"Made extra sure that everybody is prepared to enter the dungeon."

"Since right now, I don't really think that conquering that dungeon will be an easy job."

With the conquest of the golem forest, the adventurers have finally obtained a chance to prepare their assault against the golem dungeon.

The dungeon entrance has been located and secured, allowing the adventurers to start setting up their frontline base right outside the monster infested structure.

And once both the base as well as all necessary preparations were finished, the adventurers were officially ready to assault the dungeon.

"…"

"Okay. Listen up all of you." – shouted Adam at the adventurers that had gathered up in the camp right outside the dungeon.

"We are about to begin the final phase of our operation."

"The dungeon conquest."

"Our goal is simple!"

"Taming!"

"We are meant to completely take over the dungeon control because of our client wishes."

"Meaning that we have 2 goals."

"First is locate where the final room, the core room is located and exterminate all monsters inside of the dungeon."

"Normally, we wouldn't want to destroy the dungeon master, since it would significantly weaken the dungeon and everything."

"But this time is expectation."

"The dungeon is far more problematic than we had thought."

"Therefore, beside exterminating all of the monsters inside the dungeon, we will also exterminate the dungeon master itself."

"Now, for the squads."

"It is still unknown what is going on inside the dungeon."

"Is it a floor type, exploration type or some other type."

"Therefore, the first group that only consist of the elites members."

"C ranks and B ranks."

"Depending on the dungeon type, a request will be given for the remaining adventurers to enter the dungeon to regroup with the first group or fallow behind."

"With that being said, get ready you all! Since we are about to enter dungeon!" – said Adam as all of the gathered adventurers started up their preparations and once everybody from the first group had signaled their ready status, the adventurers finally entered the dungeon.

At first, the entrance and the area around appeared to be a cave stretching forward, but as they went further inside the cave, they noticed something glowing and lighting up the area in front of them, alarming the group as they slowed down their pace while getting ready to battle.

Upon coming closer, they realized that the walls were covered up in the glow stones, lighting up the path.

However, it wasn't just glowing stones making appearance, but also the cave interior changed completely, from a simple cave made out of dirt and such, to the more bricked up appearance. The earth was still visible here and there, meaning that the entire surface of the dungeon wasn't bricked up yet…. But the new appearance of the dungeon did somewhat alarmed the group.

"Tch. I guess the dungeon is developing its own environment?" – said Adam as he extinguished his lantern.

"Look alive people! We may end up encountering enemy at any moment notice!" – said Adam as the adventurers started inspecting their surroundings."

"There is good chance that this place maybe filled with traps…. We should make sure that we don't rush it." – said Amelia Wood.

"Hey, Oscar."

"Hm? What is it?" – asked the thunder mage named Oscar.

"Do you think this dungeon have maybe ranked up?"

{{Ranked up: A term used by the adventurers to refer to the situations where the dungeons have grown specific amount AND have developed a "boss room" or other spaces that possess boss type monster – In dungeon terms, the "dungeon heart" and "dungeon boss".}}

"There is good chance that would be the case…. Then again, we-"

"!"

"ENEMY SPOTTED!" – shouted wolf beastman, alarming everybody gathered.

"They are coming right in front of us!" – shouted the beastman as large number of figures started appearing from the distance, moving forward towards the adventurers.

"Frontliners! Raise up the shields! We are doing the same thing as before!" – shouted Adam as the party tanks moved forward while the mages prepared themselves to set up their barriers.

"Forward!" – shouted Adam as the adventurers and golems made their way towards each other.

"!"

"DEFENCE! NOW!" – shouted wolf beastman as a way of crossbow bolts flew right at frontliners, which ended up bashing against the defenders shields and barriers.

"?!"

"Wait! Something is off!" – however, right as they started blocking off the enemy attacks, some of the people in charge of the defense noticed something was off.

The power of the enemy shots was noticeable higher.

It wasn't enough to pierce through the defenders' wall, but it was still noticeable to some people as the group moved forward.

Even though the hail of bolts was somehow noticeable stronger, the adventurers still present forward…. And before long, the frontliners of the golems made their appearance as they marched towards their enemy, ready to confront them.

But there was something off.

These golems appeared to be at first the golem puppet soldiers…. But upon closer inspection, the wolf beastman realized something wasn't right.

Their appearance was different.

"!"

"Golem soldiers! I only see golem soldiers! But something is off!" – shouted wolf beastman.

"They look different! They don't appear to be the same golem soldiers we fought before!"

"…"

(Now then.) – thought Thauma as it observed the adventurers.

(Let's see what this new generation of the golems can do against adventurers.)
