"Shit! Everybody! Move away from the exit!" – shouted Adam.
"Hey! Can you blast these fuckers with magic?!" – asked Mawa.
"Don't ask the obvious!" – shouted Markus as he unleashed a blast of wind at some of the golems sticking on the celling, hitting them and making them blow up.
"?!"
"THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" – shouted Adam as parts of the celling fell down.
"Are you fucking trying to bury us?!"
"AND YOU THINK WE HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION?! EITHER LET SOME OF THE ROOF COLLAPSE OR WE ALL GET BLOWN UP!" – shouted Mawa as the golems tried attacking the magic swordman, forcing Mawa to quickly leap in his defense.
"Just focus on stalling the golems while mages and archers deal with the fucking bombs! Okay!?" – said Mawa.
"…"
(He is right…. We need to get rid of those bombs as soon as possible….) – thought nervous Adam.
(And…. There was that scream.)
(It was definitely Oscar's voice.)
(Why has he screamed?!)
Because of the explosions and bomb golems waiting near the entrance, the contact and between the two split adventurer groups was completely gone.
However, explosions alone weren't their only concern.
The adventurers that were inside of the 'dungeon master room' were now dealing with not only with explosives golems that may rain down on them, but also the group of golems, two giant knight golems and mysteries golem sitting on the throne.
However unfortunately for them, they were still unaware of the fact that the comrades they got separated with were now facing the real dungeon master.
"…"
(Thunder magic.) – thought Thauma.
(It is incredible fast… Dodging it will be problematic.)
(I guess I should finish off the thunder mage first then.) – thought the golem as it then began running towards the backliners.
"!"
"Shit! Block them!" – shouted Amelia as she and 1 other mage unleashed [Fire Magic: Fire Ball] at the creature.
However, in response to that, the golem quickly stepped to the aside and raised up its guard using its arms, blocking one of the balls and dogging the other.
"!?"
"Wait, it fucking dodged!?" – said surprised mage.
"{Thunder Fly And Strike My Enemy: [Thunder Shot]}!" -injured thunder mage quickly stepped in and aimed with his still working hand at the creature, unleashing a thunder projectile that hit the creature…. But really didn't bother it.
"?!"
(SHIT! How high is that thing defense?!) – thought terrified Oscar.
"Shit! Stall him! I need to fire big one if we want to damage it!" – said Oscar.
"Tch! Easy for you to say!" – said one of the archers as he and two other archers instantly threw away their bows, before then drawing their close-range weapons as the puppet ran straight at them.
"[Enchantment: Strength]!" – however, they weren't the only ones ready to face the puppet, as one of the supported used its enchantment magic to boost the frontliners powers, while the healer was trying to help injured Oscar.
(Most of the guys here we have here are mages, archers and supporters, since all frontliners already entered the room.) – thought nervous Oscar as he was chanting a spell incantation.
(We don't have any warriors or tanks right now to stall the creature.)
(But with enchantments it should at least buy me enough time to finish casting a spell!)
That is what Oscar thought.
Obviously, these archers knew how to handle close range combat, since they were adventurers, a job where you face many different forms of difficulties.
They weren't some amateurs who didn't knew what to do. They knew how to use other weapons besides their bows.
Even if their main role wasn't a frontliners, they were making it up with buffs…. So, everything should be right…. Right?
Well… Not exactly.
"Watch out for the arms!" – shouted one of the frontliners as the puppet thrusted forward its arms, trying to impale the man who quickly stepped backwards, dodging the impalement.
However, right after the dodging the attack, puppet quickly took another set forward and three punches from its left side, alarming the man as he instantly put up his guard, trying defend himself with his sword…. But it didn't worked as Thauma two punches straight up overwhelmed his defenses, while the third one landed a solid hit at the man face, causing his ribs and skull to get cracked, before then sending the man flying.
[First problem – Thauma was an intelligent being.
Thauma did not needed to fallow orders or have a set of commands. It didn't needed either of those things. I could think on its own and make its own decision at any moment.
"[Axe Art: Heavy Strike]!"
"!"
(Fast!) – thought Thauma, as an axe wielding combatant managed to somewhat instantly close up and swing his axe, aiming at the golem's knee.
However, in response to that, Thauma counter attacked with a kick that collided with the blade…. And broke it and then straight up snapping the top half of the axe away.
"…Eh?"
[Second problem – Thauma body.]
Thauma did not only made new golem models with a steel as their main material. It did the same thing to its entire body…. But not exactly.
Production of mana alchemy.
Mana Steel.
A metal which is not only noticeable more durable than regular steel, but it is also much richer in mana as well as its natural capability and flow is much better.
To make matters worse, Thauma entire insides was specially modified.
Not only it had a brand-new core, made out of the best possible materials, but its artificial mana organs have also been enchanted, which in turn allowed the golem to hold a huge amount of mana in its body as well as produce good amount of mana.
And the last thing was the build.
The entire structure of Thauma was completely remade from ground up, both inside and outside.
And to make things even worse was the fact that Thauma crafting ability.
Which all of that combined, the current Thauma body was straight up many levels above its other golems.
"!"
"Watch out!" – shouted Amelia as she then fired a burning arrow at the golem.
However, Thauma noticed the elven girl preparing the shot and instantly grabbed the man in front of the golem as the arrow went lose…. And right in the very next moment, the burning arrow pierced right through the man's chest.
"W-what are you doing?" – said the man as he was lifted off the ground.
"?!"
(He used him as human shield!?) – thought Amelia as Thauma started approaching slowly the group.
(This guy! He ain't like the other!)
(Is he fucking thinking!? HOW?!)
"Shit! Help him!" – shouted a support.
"How?! He will just use him to block off the attack!" – said the third archer with a sword as he was slowly backing away instead of trying to confront the puppet.
"…"
The female elf looked at her comrade, who in response nodded with his head.
"…"
"Shit." – said Amelia as she raised up her bow once again and took aim.
"?!"
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" – shouted the support instantly, getting attention of all other adventurers.
"W-wait! Wait! WAIT!" – shouted the man who was being used a shield as the elven girl bow and arrows started being covered in fire.
"STOP! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU-"
[Fire Archery Magic Art: Flaming Bird]
The girl fired her arrow, unleashing a wave of fire that fallowed behind…. And then struck the man, setting him on fire as he began screaming in agony.
"!"
"?!"
"WHAT THE FUCK WOMAN?!" – shouted the support.
"HE WAS ALREADY DEAD!" – shouted Amelia.
"IT WOULD RATHER KILL HIM THAN LET IT GO! I HAD NO CHOICE!"
"…"
(I thought they would hesitate…. But I guess they have somebody smart on their side.) – thought Thauma.
(And this guy is useless.) – thought the puppet before then throwing the burning man at the adventurers, forcing the third frontliner to step away in order to dodge his comrade.
However, as the third frontliner was distracted by the screaming and burning man, the puppet instantly closed up the distance and was ready to kill the man.
"[Wild Thunder]!" – but right as the puppet was attacking the man, the thunder mage finished his incantation as he then manifested a magic circle right below the celling that then fired off a thunder bolt, which struct the golem.
"…"
"…"
"You got to be fucking kidding me." – said Oscar as his eyes were filled with despair.
The golem survived the man's strongest spell.
"…."
(That hurt.) – thought Thauma.
(That attack did way more damage than I've had thought…. Was the burning the hostage a distraction?)
(But my core and organs still seem undamaged.)
(It was good idea to add another layer of protection inside of my body just in case.)
(If it wasn't for it, I could had suffered some serious damage.)
(Still.)
(That thunder magic is far too dangerous for me.)
(That man needs to die!) – thought Thauma as it just ran straight into the frontliner, who panicked and tried attacking the golem with his sword… Only for it to be grabbed and held in place, before then golem used two of its hands to rip off parts of the man neck from two side, causing a blood to gust out violet.
The golem left the man alone to just bleed out, while it stole his sword and ran straight towards the remaining adventures.
"!"
"Shit! Fire! FIRE AGAIN!" – shouted panicking support.
"Em….Can't?" – said Oscar as he was bleeding from his nose.
"I've kind off…. Used up…. All the mana." – said the thunder mage as the mage vision started getting hazy.
"Shit!" – said the female archer as she quickly began firing her burning arrows at the running golem, who just blocked off the attacks with its attacks, not slowing down even for a moment.
The first frontliner that was sent flying before tried standing up against the golem once more after receiving some lesser healings.
The man and golem swung their swords at each other…. But the man sword that was before struck by the golem fist was already damaged at the critical point.
So, the moment two blades clashed, the man's sword ended breaking apart instantly, before moments later the golem sword pierced right through his chest, stabbing him right through his chest.
But right as the golem dealt a fatal blow to the last remaining frontliner, the elven archer who was dangerously close to the golem unleashed an arrow of fire flew and hit the golem right in the face, blowing up upon the contact and almost hitting the girl with the same explosion.
"…"
But the golem wasn't amused as it then swung down its claw, trying to rip apart the elven girl that instantly leaped backwards, dodging the attack.
However, the golem quickly fallowed up with another attack, alarming the girl who drew out her rapier and blocked off the attack…. Somewhat.
The girl was attacked before her feet could touch a ground, not obtaining a solid footing… Which allowed the golem to swung its arms and sent the girl crushing right into the wall.
The girl was vulnerable after that…. But the golem didn't went for her. Instead, it went straight for the thunder mage who was still out of breath.
The support mage and priest tried forming two layers of walls with [Protection Pray] and [Arcane Barrier]…. But the puppet wasn't taking any chances.
It instantly activated triple enchantments on two of its claws and then started attacking barriers over and over, cracking them as the elven girl started her recovery, noticing the creature attacking the desperate adventurers.
"Shit! Cast something! HEY! CAST SOMETHING!" – shouted a healer as he shook Oscar who was barely staying conscious.
"Fuck! HEY! HELP US! FUCKING HELP US!" – shouted the mage at the healer as the mage's barrier was the first one to crack open, before in the very next moment the
"!"
However, right as the golem was about to crack the second barrier and make its way to the thunder mage, a flaming sword suddenly swung at the golem, forcing the creature to quickly raise up its guard with [Stone Wall], blocking the attack.
"!"
(That bastard! He was waiting for me?!) – thought terrified elven girl as the wall of earth crumbled apart right in front her…. Before moments later she saw 3 sets of claws coming straight at her face.
[Third problem – Training]
Thauma wasn't only just training in the crafting area or magical area…. No. It wasn't the only thing that it trained in.
Thauma knew experience is important.
It knew that it needed to understand the combat.
It knew it needed to understand life of dead situation.
And so, it trained with its golems.
It fought them over and over, increasing difficulty more and more, even as the golems wrecked or even tore off its limbs.
It put its life at the risk, only for it to understand what it means to "fight" and how to do it.
It used golems.
It used prisoners.
It used traps.
It used everything on itself, all in order to hone of its understanding of combat.
This creature had experience in fighting.
And it knew what to do.
"…"
"Amelia?" – said Oscar as he opened up his eyes…. As he saw the body of the elven girl, hanging on the golem arms…. Before moments later being just tossed aside like a trash by the creature.
"…"
The creature grabbed the fallen saber…. Before then starting to walk straight towards the cowering adventurers.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"Shit! FUCKING DIE ALREADY!" – shouted Markus inside of the boss room as he fired off a wave of wind, which destroyed the bomb golems and made them go off, causing a heavily damaged roof to collapse and make parts of it fell down, covering up the area with dust as the big chunks of stuns fell down.
"There! No more fucking bombs! What about you?!" – shouted Markus as he destroyed every single bomb golems.
"Good! We are almost finished here!" – shouted Elizabeth as she finished off one of the giant knight golems, making the giant's body fall down as it and most of the golems in the room had been destroyed, leaving only 2 crossbow golems, 1 giant knight golem that was fighting Markus.
And one mysterious being sitting on the throne.
"…"
(I guess we are almost done?) – thought Markus as he looked around and spotted the destruction.
(I thought it would be way harder…. But by the looks of things…. Nah, those explosions fucked us.) – thought the young man as he saw several heavily injured adventurers…. As well as few dead adventurers who were completely swallowed by explosions on the spot.
(There is also that fucker…. He still hasn't move?)
(….For now, wea need healers!)
"HEY! YOU FUCKERS! EN-"
"AAAAAAAAAA!"
"?!"
The young man tried calling for the support team in order to deal with the wounded…. But before he could even make his demand, he began hearing screams, which instantly caused everybody in the 'dungeon master room' to looked towards the entrance.
(What was that?!) – Markus instantly realized something was wrong and tried rushing out of the room…. But the echo of snapping bones could be heard… Fallowed up with the silence.
And right in the very next moment, a figure appeared behind the cloud of dust… And something was grabbing and pushing away the chunks of the fallen roof out of the way, alarming young man who instantly backed away.
The chunks of the roof were removed and from the cloud of dust… A creature emerged.
It wasn't a human. It wasn't anybody from the backline unit.
It was a tall humanoid creature with six arms…. Covered in the fresh blood.
