"If you look to your right, you will find the Rose garden that has been built…" Alexandra continued explaining the architecture, making me appreciate the beauty of the manor even more.

The chilly wind blowing in the garden brushed against the roses, with the clear starry sky and the big bright moon setting a calming scene. One that puts a cozy smile on my face. What was even more fascinating was the design of the manor. It was created in such a way that the winds did not reach the veranda where we were walking. Added with the touch of halogen lights on the railings, that gave off warmth, the whole thing turned three times as enjoyable for me.

"And you know. In the Grand Flavour Market…"

Turning back to Alexandra, who strolled in front of me, half-heartedly explaining about the garden, she continued observing the assassins that were coming from the front.

Clad in black clothes, they were a bit difficult to see at first. But the silver kunai knives that they carried in their hands easily gave away their position.

Seriously. Why don't you just advertise yourself at this point? I questioned looking at those amateurs. Plus, a few seconds later, as my gaze adjusted to the darkness, I could make out their number and build too. A total of 3 male assassins.

Skills? Amateur at best.

-Swish!

The farthest one threw his kunai, aiming at Alexandra. It came at a breath-neck speed, almost reaching Alexandra's chest before she casually raised her hand a few degrees above, catching the knife and skillfully reverse gripping it. Her words paused as she looked at the once closest, almost within the range of 5 meters.

-Whoosh!

Before the one closest to her could realise, Alexandra was already in front of her. The kunai, which she caught before had reached his neck, slowly pierced, as all he could do was to wait for his death.

I could see his eyes widening before…

-Thwack!

A slight force before the kunai completely pierced into his neck, ending his futile life, once and for all. The one just behind him saw the whole scene within a single flash, his eyes barely able to react as he paused in his steps.

-Swish!

Though before the whole thing could be registered in his mind, he saw a blood-dyed kunai, the one that his partner was killed with, almost reaching his forehead at an insane speed. I saw him showing signs of dodging it, as his body barely moved from his position, trying to save himself but…

-Thwack!

It pierced his forehead before he could do that.

Alexandra rushed one step, took out the same kunai knife that had killed the two assassins and…

-Swish!

Threw it at the last one, the one that had thrown the same kunai barely a few seconds ago. He had realised that he wouldn't be able to come out alive, so he had already turned, ready to run, but the kunai knife reached his head, near the cerebellum area, swiftly killing him too.

5 seconds? That's good. I thought as I calculated my own directions and method of doing the whole thing. The result was…

With my cards? About 2 seconds. Without them, I guess it would take 4 seconds. Perhaps a bit less if I can increase my leg strength. Not exactly my record, but that's the max I can do with the current body limits that I have.

Dusting her hands, she wiped the blood-drop that was running down her cheek. A few marks were left, but she didn't seem to be bothered about it as much. She turned around, looked at me with the same smile as before and continued,

"So where were we?"

I pondered the things she had just told me and answered,

"About the rose garden. You said that they were brought from the Flavour Market Festival."

Her smile blossomed for a bit before she chuckled. Then, giving me a sudden mysterious look, she added,

"Yeah. We were talking about the Flavour Market Festival."

She continued once again, her hands at the back, as she hopped a few steps like a little girl. Walking behind her, I also jumped over the dead bodies behind us, while I wondered where she was taking me.

We walked for a bit around the veranda, and then deeper into the floor. There were a few more assassins that were easily taken care of by Alexandra before we finally reached a certain door against which she stopped.

Turning around, she pondered for a bit before speaking,

"You are quite amusing, you know that?"

"A gentleman's character?" I answered with the same smile as hers, making her chuckle a bit. I could see her trying to see through me, failing which, she seemed to be getting even more excited a bit.

Though a few moments later, she slowly dropped all her acts as she spoke with a serious tone.

"I have shown you my real identity. My cold nature, skills, strength and even my ruthless self. On the other hand, you also have seen the warm pretense that I put up for the world, and the intelligence with which I can recall almost everything once I have seen it. Yet, in all those moments, not once had I seen a single shred of surprise on your face. It's as if you had already expected it. It's as if you already knew about it."

A slight pause as she reached closer to me, her lips almost reaching mine, her eyes looking deeper into mine.

"Mr. Anthony. I have met hundreds of people, read about thousands of men and women, yet not once have I come across someone as mysterious and charming as you are. Just who… exactly are you?"

I smiled at her, not speaking a single word. To which she chuckled a little before moving away and speaking,

"Well. It is fun to know that there exists someone like you. Looking forward to having a bright future with you, Mister Anthony."

Bright, huh? Amused, I smiled at her as she took out a small silver key from the side pouch attached to her waist. Putting it in the keyhole, she then turned to me and waved at me to get into the room with her.

Walking behind her, I increased my cautious level a bit more, wondering if there were going to be any surprise attacks in there.
