HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me

Chapter 163: 163

"No. Not for now." Lin Meilin simply shook her head with a shy smile as if tempting Yang Ze.

But how could Yang Ze have the time to pay attention to her? At the moment, his gaze was focused on the item floating in front of him, which was now clearly visible to him,

Suppressing his urge to shout and take it out, he just closed his eyes before focusing his gaze back at Lin Meilin. He still needs to deal with her.

"I see." He gave a mindless reply to Lin Meilin before changing the topic.

"Can you tell me more about the location where the winds never stop?"

"Huh!?" This abrupt change in discussion almost made Lin Meilin fall from her chair. She looked at Yang Ze, wondering how this guy's brain works. One moment, they were talking about personal life and struggle, and just when she thought he was taking an interest in her love life, he abruptly changed the subject, catching her off guard.

But this didn't stop her from giving him a reply. "Like I said… that palace is a few hundred miles away from here. It is hard for me to pinpoint the exact location, but I can take you there."

"This is the least I can do for you for saving my life."

"..." Yang Ze's corner of lips twitched as he nodded in response, wondering if she was mocking him or merely reminding him that she had saved his life again.

"Then, I shall head back to my room. We will go there tomorrow." Since the boy beside her didn't seem too interested in knowing about her or her life, she could only head back for now.

She wasn't like Cang Yue or Lin Wan, who only knew some petty tricks or force. She had lived for a long… very long time and had a pretty good understanding of people's hearts.

To her, Yang Ze was like a green sprout that she could chew and swallow anytime. But she didnt want to do it. She wanted to take her time to slowly unravel mysteries about him.

From the day she fed him Nectar of Life, she had known about his physique that could increase one's realm, comprehension and even understanding of laws. Perhaps for others, the meaning behind those words might not make sense, but to her… it was akin to heavenly thunder.

But she still didn't do anything to him, even when she had the chance.

Not because she was afraid, but because she wanted to test whether it was true or not.

Sure, the information about his physique was directly put inside her brain with extreme detail about how, if he was willing, the effects would be maximised, but it still didn't stop her from wanting to check the truth of those words.

She wasn't an idiot, and one certainly couldn't live for so long without being cautious and having a few tricks. She was suspicious… how could such a good thing fall upon her? Especially when she knew the truth of this world?

Thus… she was taking her time. And time was the thing she lacked the least.

"Take care." Looking at her departing back, Yang Ze shouted in a low voice, but at the same time, he couldn't wait for her to get out of his room. He was dying with excitement to see what that item that he had managed to combine was.

After locking the door and making sure there was nothing amiss, Yang Ze hurriedly sat on his bed and raised his hand in front of him, grabbing the item that was floating in front of him in silence.

The moment his hand touched it, the surrounding fog scattered as the item finally appeared in his hand.

"Huh!?" Looking at the item in his hand, Yang Ze couldn't help but let out a surprised exclamation.

In his hand was a small pocketwatch that looked like an antique item.

The round pocketwatch was small in size, almost like a golf ball, with a chain attached to it. The entire thing was crafted with gold, and there were intricate designs all around the pocket watch that seemed to be moving all around.

"What the hell?" Yang Ze wasn't surprised by the fact that he managed to get a pocketwatch in this xianxia world, but instead, he was surprised by the fact that there was nothing on the pocketwatch.

In the place where numbers and clockhands were, there was a dense array of symbols that kept on moving around chaotically.

Just a single glance, and Yang Ze felt like his head was about to burst.

"What the hell is this?" Without wasting any time, he immediately used his All-Seeing eyes to look at it, and the moment he saw its description, his heart almost stopped, and for a moment, he wondered if he was dreaming.

[Item: Clock Of Time]

[Grade: Spirit]

[Effects: Record user's peak life imprint at the moment of activation and instantly restore user to the recorder peak state upon use.] (100 Days Cooldown and Fate's backlash)

"This… This… This…" Looking at the clock in his hand, Yang Ze felt like he was holding a hot potato. This was perhaps the most ridiculous thing that he had ever seen since his arrival in this world.

"Calm down." Taking deep breaths, Yang Ze forced himself to calm down as he suppressed the turmoil in his heart and even pinched himself to make sure he wasnt seeing things. It wasn't until he grimaced in pain that he finally let out a deep breath.

"What a ridiculous thing." Gently holding the watch in his hand, Yang Ze suppressed his excitement and looked at the only button that was at the top.

Without any hesitation, he pressed it, and the moment he pressed the button, Yang Ze's surroundings turned pitch black as he found himself standing in a void with a river of stars underneath him.

"Holy." This was the first time he saw such a magical scene that looked like it almost jumped out of a dream.

Yang Ze watched in silence as a group of stars suddenly converged underneath him before enveloping him completely, and once they did, Yang Ze was surprised to see that a figure similar to him appeared in front of him out of nowhere.

"What the…" Yang Ze was about to jump back to make some distance between them when the stars surrounding him suddenly brightened, and he realised what it was.

"Life imprint?" Now that he paid attention to it, the figure in front of him was completely made out of tiny stars.

From the information, he understood that it was his life imprint.

And just when he was about to observe it further, the scene around him blurred before he found himself sitting on top of his bed once again, with his finger still placed on top of the watch.

"That was the life imprint?" By now, Yang Ze understood what it was and what this small watch in his hand was capable of.

In short terms, the so-called life imprint was his peak state that was stored in the watch, and if in the future, he gets heavily injured or is about to die, then he could use the watch to return to his peak state.

Of course, it could only be done once every one hundred days, and there was something called Fate backlash, but for the current him, it was a heaven-defying treasure.

"Hiss…" Looking at the treasure in his hand, Yang Ze swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and just when he was wondering where to store it, the clock in front of him turned into a speck of light before merging between his brows, directly at the lotus mark.

"Huh!?" Yang Ze, who was about to panic, calmed himself after realising that he could summon it anytime.

"What a mysterious thing." Licking his lips, a flame ignited in Yang Ze's heart. Just merging these useless items was so heaven-defying. What if he merged more precious things in the future? Just thinking about it was enough to make him unable to sit down.

"One more week…" Looking at the cooldown, Yang Ze could only sigh in defeat. For now, he could only wait.

After getting the pocketwatch, it was hard for Yang Ze to concentrate on anything else, but he still walked out of the inn to wander around to find the daily sign-in opportunity.

Even after walking around for a while, when he couldn't find something satisfactory, he could only sign in to the most pleasing one he could.

[Sign in successful.]

[Congratulations on getting a Vein-Expansion pill.]

"..." Looking at the pill in his hand, Yang Ze merely nodded in response before walking back to his inn and sitting there while using his Enlightenment. He first thought about using his enlightenment state to check the Gold Colored internal energy and the Golden Veins, and was surprised to find that he could actually increase the golden internal energy and the veins further, but the progress was excruciatingly slow.

He even popped in the newly gained Vein-Expansion pill, but even with its help, the progress was abysmal.

"This…" Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Yang Ze didn't know whether it was a good thing or bad. Though the 'milk' managed to help him condense golden veins about which he had no idea, it also made his progress like a snail.

According to his current rate of progress, even with the help of the Enlightenment, it would take him years to condense the second golden vein.

Just thinking about it makes his scalp tingle.

"No… I need more of that 'milk'."

This was the only option left for him if he wanted to progress further. Gritting his teeth, Yang Ze could only curse Lin Meilin for doing it purposefully to sabotage his progress.

------------------------

An entire night passed with Yang Ze grumbling and using his enlightenment to condense more mortal objects.

It wasn't until he heard knocking on his door once again that he woke up from his meditation and opened the door, only to be greeted by Lin Meilin's veiled face that seemed to be looking at him with a smile.

"Shall we go?" She directly asked.

"Go…" It took a moment for Yang Ze to realise what she was talking about when he immediately nodded in response before taking one last look at the room and heading out of the inn with her.

"The place we are going is around three hundred miles from here in the east." Lin Meilin began to speak as the two of them exited the Tianxu Trading Zone.

"It is a place called the Crimson Valley."

"Crimson Valley?" Yang Ze simply nodded in response as he quietly sat beside Lin Meilin as the two of them made their way towards their next destination.

And while Yang Ze and Lin Meilin were travelling leisurely, a different scene was playing out in the Heavenly Sword Sect.

Inside one of the many exquisite houses, where Yang Ze was staying with Lin Yue and Xiao Ruolan, a suffocating atmosphere prevailed in the air.

Cang Yue, who was still tied up naked, was looking at Xiao Ruolan with a monstrous rage.

If eyes could kill, Xiao Ruolan would have died countless deaths.

"You fucking whore. You are going to regret this." Other than cursing, Cang Yue couldnt do anything. She kept on throwing insults at Xiao Ruolan and, with time, got more and more proficient, and yet no matter how much she shouted, Xiao Ruolan remained indifferent.

It was as if an insect was making noise in front of Xiao Ruolan. Completely irrelevant and unworthy of being paid attention to.

"Talk to me." The more Cang Yue spoke, the angrier she got. "You slut."

Listening to her constant chattering, Xiao Ruolan, who was still sitting there with her eyes closed, finally looked at Cang Yue with an emotionless face.

"You asked for it." Without another word, she simply walked towards Cang Yue before putting her hand on her throat and, with her internal energy, sealed her throat, making it impossible for her to make any noise.

But that wasn't all…

"I was thinking of letting you off easy, but I have decided to give you a parting gift."

"....." Cang Yue's eyes widened in anger as she tried to speak, but no words came out. She could only twist her body, hoping to free herself from the binds, but to no avail.

Ignoring her futile struggle, Xiao Ruolan simply walked out of the room, leaving behind the figure of Cang Yue.

One minute passed… two minutes passed…

And just when Cang Yue was wondering what Xiao Ruolan was going to do, she heard a bunch of footsteps coming from a distance.

Just from the sound, it was clear that it was more than one person.

"Ummm…." Cang Yue wanted to struggle, but she could only watch helplessly as the sounds of footsteps grew closer and closer, before she could finally see two long shadows coming from the distance.

Cang Yue watched in nervousness and disbelief as Xiao Ruolan entered the room, but this time, there was an additional figure behind her who seemed hesitant at first.

"HUH!?" But the moment the other party entered the room and noticed the tied-up naked Cang Yue, an exclamation of surprise escaped their lips.

Cang Yue, who was filled with indignation too, raised her head to look at the newcomer and in an instant, the air froze.

In front of her was the figure of the person she wanted to see the most right now…

Lin Yue.
