Legendary Summoner's Transmigration: I Can Capture Anything.

Chapter 102: More Confusion

The hotel was just as impressive as one would expect from a hotel within the capital.

It was a fusion of modern, aristocratic, and arcane architecture. The white and grey walls had elegant designs at the top and bottom, and the windows had blue glass that allowed the light from inside to stream outside. The whole place was brightened using various mana cores, and it also had a few of them carved into showpieces. The floor was covered with a velvet carpet.

Jaden looked at everything in awe, but the others did not seem to find it that amazing; they acted as if it were nothing extravagant.

'Hmph, they are just too spoiled.'

He muttered in his head.

"Bre."

"Bru."

And Whitey and Blacky seemed to agree with him.

He continued to look at the paintings that were lining the walls. His gaze stopped on a single painting with a dark frame. This painting featured A knight in silver armour standing with both hands on his sword, its tip resting against the ground.

'What is that?'

A puzzled look appeared on Jaden's face as he walked toward the painting and looked at the corner of the frame. It was subtle, but he noticed it… It was a snake eating its own tail.

'This again? What is this thing even about?' He questioned with a frown.

Before he could fall deeper into his thoughts, a soft voice called out to him.

"Jaden!"

He turned to look at Maria, who had her arms across her chest as she stared at him with an annoyed expression. The other two were doing the same.

"What's wrong?" He questioned as he stepped towards them.

Maria heaved a sigh and turned around as she added.

"Nothing. Let's go to our rooms."

He gave her a nod, and they soon stepped inside an elevator, which led them to the floor that had their room.

A few moments later, Jaden lay on the bed with his arms spread wide and the pups sitting on his chest as he mumbled with a frown.

"What is the meaning of that snake…? Why does it keep appearing? And why does no one else find it strange… It's as if they can't see it…"

He heaved a sigh and closed his eyes as he mumbled darkly.

"That may be true…"

Suddenly, he stood up with wide eyes as he thought of a possibility.

"Could this be related to the Shadow Sovereign… Wait, why is there no clan or holy land related to the Shadow God? Could the imperial family be related to the Shadow God?"

The more he thought about it, the more sense it made, but if that was true, the emperor would not have the name he has—The Immortal Emperor of Bright Light.

"Why is everything so confusing?" He muttered with an irritated look, and at the same time, a barrage of sharp barks exploded around him as the devouring pups shouted.

"BRE! BRE!"

"BRU! BRU!"

A vein popped on his forehead as he looked down and shouted,

"Why are you—" However, he stopped midway as he understood the reason behind them acting like this, "I didn't mean to drop you both…"

Even so, the pups only gave him a side eye before turning around.

Seeing them acting like that, he picked them up and muttered.

"Let's take a bath."

The pups' faces paled as they began squirming in his hands, but he was too cruel to let them have their freedom. Instead, he just laughed cruelly, evilly.

Jaden and the pups finished their bath, after that they were given a hot dinner by the hotel, which they ate in their room, and now they were slouching in the bed.

"I wonder what the academy would be like… many of the students probably already know me, but I won't have any clue about them…" he heaved a sigh and closed his eyes.

Time passed, the calm moon finished its night shift, and the sun came to fulfil its day shift.

Jaden stood in front of a full-body mirror as he looked at himself. He wore a black long coat, a black shirt and black trousers, all of which had subtle golden embroidery. Most of his uniform was black as he had officially awakened the mark of shadows. He could, of course, use other marks, but Jaden did not feel like dying, so he hid it from others.

He also had a badge on his chest that had a black jewel with two golden stripes, indicating that he was a second-year student.

"I look handsome no matter what I wear," he muttered, grinning at his reflection. "Though, isn't this too much black? Does the academy have no style?" he complained with a smug look as he brushed his hair back with his left hand.

The pups watched him with deadpan looks.

He looked at himself for one final time before turning around towards the pups.

"What do you guys think? Won't I break the hearts of those maidens with this handsome face of mine?" He questioned while rubbing his chin.

In response to his words, the pups looked at each other before standing up and walking out of the bathroom. He frowned at their strange reaction and asked loudly.

"Whitey?! Blacky?! Where are you two going? Is there something wrong with my face?"

However, the pups did not answer and simply covered their heads with their tiny paws.

"What's wrong with them…? Ah! Maybe I was too handsome for them? No wonder they say clothes make the man," he mumbled with a wide grin and began to chuckle.

He stepped out of the bathroom, glanced at the pups, grabbed his bag from the bed, and muttered.

"Let's go."

He stepped out of the room, followed by two furballs.
