Legendary Summoner's Transmigration: I Can Capture Anything.

Chapter 115: Masked Coaches [2]

The sound of metal hitting metal and zipping arrows resounded in the huge room of the training centre as the students clashed against the mysterious masked coaches.

Beads of sweat rolled down Selina's face as she breathed heavily while continuing her stabs and swings at the sword coach, who leisurely blocked all of her attacks—with no movement whatsoever.

He had not even taken a step back. Slight disbelief covered her face, but she couldn't do anything against the person before her. He was simply too skilled.

She skipped a few steps back and questioned with a frown.

"Who are you?"

The sword coach shrugged and answered hoarsely, "You'll know once you put down your sword."

She took a deep breath, and her eyes turned sharp as she raised her sword and muttered, "I'll have to use my strongest sword art then."

"Indeed. Show it to me. Moon Flower," he replied as he tightened his grip around the sword.

"Each flowers have its thorns... Mine are simply too deadly for anyone to dare consider me as a mere flower," Selina shot back coldly as she swung her sword in a half circle and stepped forward.

Swish... Swish... Swish...

Light streaks followed her sword's path and assumed the shape of crescents. The sword coach raised an eyebrow upon seeing the crescents and mumbled in surprise, "Oh? You have chosen the Illusory Moon Sword, heh. Only one of the three crescents is real while the other are fake."

Selina didn't react and simply swung her sword at him; the crescents fell together, each coming from a different direction.

The sword coach swung his sword right before the crescents were about to reach him, and the sound of metal hitting metal echoed within the enormous room as he blocked the attack from the flat side of his knight's sword.

Clank!

"Was that all?" He questioned.

Selina sheathed her rapier and gave him a short bow. "It was." Her expression was still calm and indifferent.

The sword coach pointed at Jamie and commanded in a raspy voice, "Get in."

Jamie gave him a nod and stepped within the square as Selina stepped out from the square and stood among the other students with her arms behind her back.

Jaden inched closer to her and asked in a low voice, "Umm... Do you know how not to use mana while swinging the sword?"

She stared at him with a dumbfounded expression and muttered, "What?"

Arden's fingers were pale, and his arm trembled as he nocked another arrow on his bow. Sweat covered his body, and his clothes were sticking to him like a second skin.

However, his eyes were sharp as he pulled the string even and locked his eyes on the 1km target and let go of the string.

Tss... Thuk...

The arrow zipped past 50m, 100m, 250m, 500m, 750m and just as it was about to reach 1km, it lowered and struck the ground before it, which was already full of similar arrows.

He gritted his teeth and took out another arrow, positioned it and got ready to pull it, but before he could pull, the bow instructor spoke, "Why not just give up? That bow is made to only reach 1km after mana is channelled in it."

He glanced at her with a tired yet determined expression and asked, "What would be the difference between me and other archers if I have to do the same thing as them?"

The bow coach let out a sigh and spoke, "You only have three arrows left."

He nodded and positioned the bow, nocked the arrow and let go of the string.

Tss... Thuk... Tss... Thuk... Tss... Thuk...

The arrow flew towards the target, but just like before, it struck the ground before the 1km target. The next arrow followed the same fate, and he left the square after hitting the bullseye on the 750m target.

The bow coach looked at his defeated back and shook her head as she mumbled under her breath, "Monster."

Arden walked towards Selina and Jaden with a defeated look and stood beside them.

None of them spoke as they continued to watch the others.

Navin had his right knee bent as he blocked the spear of the spear coach using his own. He gritted his teeth and let out a groan before moving away from the spear coach's spear by performing a lazy roll.

Thud...

The spear hit the ground, and small snake-like cracks appeared on the ground, but the spear coach didn't even glance at it and spoke, "I've never seen a moving wall before. Are you first of the kind, lad?"

Navin stood up and stared at him with extremely cautious eyes as he raised his long spear and got ready to defend against his next move.

"You see... a wall should never move, because a moving wall will crumble even before the storm reaches," the spear coach said as he threw the spear, but before it could leave his proximity, he grabbed it by the end of the shaft and swung it like a sword.

Clunk...

Navin's eyes widened as he raised his spear to defend against it. His knees buckled as the two spears came in contact, and blood dripped out of his lips as the spear slid out of his hand.

The spear coach put his spear aside and spoke in a jolly voice, "Haha! You were way better than I had expected."

"But... right now, you are not a wall but a fence. Be the wall." He added.

Navin stood up and bowed to him, "Thanks for your teachings," he added before stepping out of the square.

***

Shelly stood within the square with a dagger at her neck and another dagger before her chest. However, her eyes we still indifferent and distant.

"You are good but predictable... be more versatile if you want to kill instead of getting killed," the dagger coach whispered in her ears before lowering her hands.

Shelly gave her a slight nod and stepped out of the square.
