The strangest thing, however, was her stature. She was as big as an adult human's palm—
"You are calling me short in your head, aren't you?"
Jaden looked at the small entity floating before him in confusion as he thought, 'Is this a fairy?'
His lips parted to speak. But before he could say anything, the fairy cut him off, "Never mind, tell me what you used to channel mana in the scrolls? Why was it so similar to natural mana?" She questioned as she circled him, green dust fell from her small figure while she moved.
"What are you talking about?" Jaden feigned ignorance and questioned with a tilted head.
The fairy frowned, decreased the distance between them and reached his nose. She asked, "You don't know?"
He shook his head, and the fairy expression turned into one of irritation as she mumbled under her breath, "Ugh! How annoying."
"Who are you?" He questioned while shifting his eyes to the devouring pups who had gone unconscious from here appearance.
She puffed her chest in pride, but it only made her more comical when she replied, "I am Yuka, the Fairy of Space."
Jaden's eyes widened. He remembered Zaria's words and thought, 'She is the Fairy of Space? What is she doing here?'
Ykaa shook her head as if she could read her thoughts and answered, "I usually don't appear in front of others, but your mana and strange pets made me want to see everything myself."
His eyes narrowed as he felt a bad premonition from her word's but she corrected herself, "Oh! Don't worry about your pets. I do want to research all of you, but I am not going to take them away from a student."
"Do your thing and leave..." he said while walking towards the pups.
She placed her tiny hands on her tiny waist and spoke furiously, "I already did everything, and I'll only leave after you tell me the reason behind that mana."
He shook his head and spoke, "I don't know the reason behind him."
"Okay then, let me do some research on you and in return, I'll help you with my Space Magic," she said as she sat on the corner armrest of the chair with folded legs while staring at him.
'Oh? Maybe I can use some of her help... and it's not like I have anything rare in me, I simply have an affinity for all elementals,' he thought as he began rummaging for ideas.
"Alright," he said.
She smiled and began to float before him as she said, "Alright, just call me whenever you want my help."
He frowned and asked, "When am I supposed to come to you for the research?"
Her smile widened into a grin as she replied, "You don't have to worry about it."
He tried to question further, but she disappeared just as suddenly as she had come.
He looked around for any trace of her. After not finding any, he walked towards the devouring pups, picked them up, and moved towards the bed.
He placed them on the bed and left the dorm room.
A few minutes later, he stood before the cafeteria counter with a menu in his hand, and he named the meals and left.
He turned around and walked towards a table of table on which sat Jamie, Navin, Arden, Selina and Shelly.
He took his seat and spoke, "They said we will have to wait for 10 minutes."
Others nodded at his words, and Arden questioned, "Did you like the academy?"
He looked at him with a smile and nodded, "I did."
Arden slumped on the sofa and spoke, "I am tired... I can't even speak..."
The others, except Shelly, smiled slightly and nodded to his words. The training with masked coaches had taken a lot out of them.
Ten minutes passed in a breeze, and the waiter placed their food on the table.
All of them ate slowly and silently, and after fifteen minutes, Jaden stood up and spoke, "I am going out of the academy."
"You still have energy for that?" Navin questioned with a wry smile.
Jaden smiled and gave a nod before leaving.
He stood at a secluded spot and spoke, "Yuka."
Just as he spoke, Yuka appeared before him.
"Hmm? Calling me already? So what do you want my help for?" She questioned with her arms folded at her chest.
"Take me out," Jaden said as he took out a hood and put on a mask.
"W-what?! What do you mean by 'Take me out'? I can't—"
Jaden looked at her as if he was looking at some kind of useless object and mumbled loudly, making sure she heard him, "That's all? And here I thought the great Fairy of Space would be of some help... maybe I got scammed?"
Hearing his complaints, she waved her hands and spoke, "All right, all right! You don't have to act like that to me. Hmph!"
However, he continued to stare at her as before.
She heaved a sigh and spoke, "Remember not to get caught and just call me when you return."
He nodded, and she turned around. Both of them disappeared.
Jaden felt his world shifting, and he found himself standing in an alley beside the academy.
He turned, looked at the wall and mumbled, "I just have to somehow go out of the wall and return before morning."
He brought his hood closer and spoke, "Summon."
His grimoire appeared beside him, and black sparks fell out of it.
The black sparks took the form of a dark green furred wolf.
He climbed onto the wolf and spoke, "To the wall."
The wolf let out a howl and began to run through the dark alleys.
A few minutes later, Jaden stood beside an iron fence as he stared at the tall gates of the wall.
"How do I get out... I don't think concealment magic would work..." he mumbled and thought of a way for a few moments until his eyes fell on a cage.
