Legendary Summoner's Transmigration: I Can Capture Anything.

Chapter 100: Approaching Fatherion

Whitey and Blacky had furious looks as they sat on the bed, staring at Jaden, who was drying himself using a white towel. Water droplets glistened across his bare upper body as light fell on him.

Jaden shot them an annoyed look and muttered.

"What are you both mad about? Good puppies need to take baths."

The devouring pups, however, did not care and displayed their disagreement by looking away.

"Bre."

"Bru."

He shook his head and heaved a silent sigh before taking out a black t-shirt with an imprint of a crab from his bag. He wore the t-shirt and stepped out of the room to get some food and drinkable water from the vending machine.

A few minutes later, he returned with a bag full of food packets and water bottles. He placed the bag on the table and looked at the pups with a slightly infuriated look. After heaving a sigh, he took out two bowls from the bag and a water bottle.

He squatted near the bed and placed the bowls beside it. He filled both of them with water and leisurely placed both of his hands at the knees as he stared at the two puppies.

Being B-rank, they didn't need food or water, but since they could finally grow after two decades because of his mana, they had to eat and drink.

The pups looked at the bowl and looked away once again and let out short barks of dissatisfaction.

"Bre bre!"

"Bru!"

Jaden shook his head and stood up. He stepped near the table and took a seat before he began eating the food packets. There was nothing extravagant—just packaged rations and snacks. As he ate, the devouring pups also began to drink water.

'Heh.'

A smirk appeared on Jaden's face as he took out a bag that seemed to contain some kind of dog food, which was strange considering humanity was already fucked up because of the nightmares and star beasts.

However, He thought nothing of it, filled their bowls, and went back to munch his own snacks.

The trio ate in peace; The soft crunch of food was the only sound in the room. However, the silence did not feel cold or gloomy; instead, it felt warm... as if a quiet melody was being sung in silence.

They finished eating, and Jaden stood up he quickly picked up the devouring pups and went towards the bath. The pups' faces paled. He snorted and muttered.

"I am just washing your faces."

Colour returned to the pups' faces as they looked at him with love-filled eyes, "Tch." Jaden clicked his tongue at that but still pressed them closer to his chest.

He washed his and their faces and then sat on the bed. He fed them his mana before slouching onto the bed, both pups pressed close against his chest.

At last, he closed his eyes and entered the embrace of sleep after a day full of more strange events.

Time passed, and the calm moon gave way to the bold sun, which had already sunk into an orange evening.

Jaden sat within the ASUV that was moving towards Fatherion without any obstacles. This day was similar to the one before, but they didn't meet any nightmares this time. Instead, they encountered a few low-ranked star beasts, which was reasonable considering the land near Fatherion was mostly inhabited by star beasts instead of nightmares.

He had also obtained two F rank wind mana cores and three E rank earth mana cores.

'How much would I obtain after selling these?' He thought as he stared at the green and yellow crystals in his hands. All of them had a faint glow.

Until now, he did not have to care about the money because, for starters, he was within the dream realm, and afterwards, he stayed with the Bannisters. But now he would have to earn himself. He did not want to be homeless, after all.

He frowned and leaned back in his seat.

'So much to do... First, I have to learn about this world and the dark times... Second, I have to reach Elite or B rank so I can start capturing summons for grimoire upgrade and then reach Master or A rank... Lastly, I have to find a way to the shadow realm. But now... I would also have to earn money.'

He could already feel the burden of work. Just as he was lamenting his growing list of tasks. A tall and imposing dark wall that seemed to touch the sky itself appeared before him.

Jaden looked out of the window and stared at the tall wall with wide eyes and questioned in awe.

"What is that?"

"The wall," answered Maria.

"The wall... How tall is it?" He questioned, to which Jamie answered, "Tall enough."

"Tall enough, huh."

As the ASUV moved closer to the wall, Jaden could see the faint golden characters covering the wall with his mana-enhanced eyes.

He raised an eyebrow and questioned.

"What are those golden characters?"

Maria glanced at Lane and Jamie before heaving a sigh and answering.

"Those characters were imprinted on the wall by the emperor... it seems to strengthen the wall and keep the weaker star beasts and nightmares away from the city."

He nodded at her words, though a faint frown creased his face as he asked, "Why not use them for all of the great nations then?"

Jamie was the one to answer with an annoyed look.

"Ugh! Why do you ask so many questions? No one knows why the emperor did not use them for all of the great nations."

Jaden's frown deepened at his words, but he did not ask any more questions and turned to look at the wall.

Fatherion was approaching, after all.
