The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter

Chapter 113: BLOOD MASTERY

Raito raised his hand, palm glowing with pure black energy.

"Absolute Suppression," he said. His voice carried through the dungeon like thunder. "Shut down."

[Skill: Absolute Suppression — Activated]

[All enemy skills forcibly sealed.]

The cursed spirit staggered back, her body trembling. "I… I can't use any of my skills… What did you do to me!?"

Raito took a slow step forward, his shadow spreading across the floor like liquid night.

"You talk too much," he said, eyes burning with that calm fury unique to hunters who've seen too much blood. "Now it's my turn."

The cursed spirit screamed, her voice echoing across the blood-soaked hall.

"Wait no! It's not fair! It's not fair!" she shouted, trembling. "That skill… it's the only one I can use to defeat you! You—you killed the Black King! I can't win without my blood control! What's happening to me?!"

Her crimson eyes flickered in panic, veins pulsing under her skin as her power refused to respond.

Raito tilted his head slightly, his gaze sharp and cold. "Even if I didn't use Absolute Suppression," he said calmly, "your blood control would've been automatically disabled by my system. That skill can't touch me anymore."

He stepped forward slow, deliberate and then vanished.

Voom!

A flash of motion. A streak of light.

Before the cursed spirit could even gasp, Raito was already behind her.

Her eyes widened. "Wha—"

Slash!

His dagger gleamed once before her neck split open cleanly.

Her head hit the ground with a dull thud, rolling once before dissolving into blood mist. Her body followed, melting into red vapor that evaporated into the dungeon's air.

The dungeon fell silent. Then the blue glow of the system lit up around Raito.

[System Notification]

User has slain: S-Rank Cursed Spirit (Blood Spirit Class)

Skill copy available — "Copy Skill" has not been used.

Would you like to copy a skill from the fallen entity?

Raito smirked faintly. "Oh… that's true. I haven't used my copy skill yet," he muttered. "Guess I'll take it."

He raised his right hand slightly. "Copy Skill: Blood Absorption and Devour."

[Skill Copy Successful]

New Skill Acquired: Blood Manipulation — Ability to control, solidify, or weaponize blood.

Secondary Effect: Blood Devour — Absorbs vitality and mana from blood contact.

A second notification appeared, glowing brighter.

[Greed Absorbed]

Entity Essence: Cursed Spirit (Blood Type)

Material forming… Estimated completion: 2 hours.

Raito exhaled slowly and sheathed his dagger, the crimson mist fading around him.

"It's done," he said quietly, his eyes reflecting the faint red glow of the system windows.

"Another one down."

Kira slowly stood up, still catching her breath. She looked at Raito and said, "Thank you… for saving me."

"You're welcome," Raito replied calmly. "How did you—"

"You came so fast… and it's like I couldn't even use my skills," Kira said, still trembling slightly. "Who did it?"

"Don't ask too many questions," Raito said quietly. "A lot of people lost their lives here. And the dungeon… the boss here is about to vanish soon." The air around them shivered as his words sank in.

Raito then approached the only survivor in that section of the dungeon, a girl lying unconscious, and carefully lifted her into his arms.

"Come closer," he instructed Kira.

"Wait… why?" she asked, confused.

"Just do it," he said firmly. She placed her hand on his shoulder.

Skill Activated: Teleportation.

The world blurred, the air rippling violently around them.

They reappeared at another section of the dungeon where three or four survivors were huddled on the ground. As they saw Raito, they scrambled to their feet.

"Sir! You're back!"

"You all hold onto me," Raito instructed, his tone calm but commanding. One placed a hand on his elbow, another on his back, and another on his shoulder.

With everyone in contact, he activated Teleportation again.

Vanish!

They reappeared at the dungeon entrance. One by one, the survivors walked out safely into the sunlight.

Raito bent his head slightly, surveying the area. Nearby, three S-Rank hunters, famous and feared, were approaching, though they hadn't arrived yet.

"You went in… I thought for sure something happened to you," one A-Rank hunter said.

"We cleared the dungeon… it was supposed to be a B-Rank dungeon, right?" Kira asked, her voice trembling slightly.

An A-Rank Hunter shook his head, still trying to steady his breathing. "It was supposed to be a B-Rank dungeon… but after what happened, we reassessed it. It's clearly an S-Rank now. But… you already cleared it?"

"Yes," she said, pointing toward Raito. "It was him."

But when she turned, Raito was gone, vanished completely, faster than anyone could see.

"Where… is he?" Kira whispered, scanning the area.

Raito was already moving silently along the road, his hands in his pockets, the bloodstains on his body a grim reminder of the battle he just finished.

Once again, I walked through the streets — blood on my skin, my clothes soaked crimson, Raito said.

"If I wanted, I could've entered any of those sites… the Black King's domain, the cursed spirit's lair. I could've stepped in and crushed them in a second if I went all out," Raito continued.

"But that battle… it helped me. It was good training."

"Now, I should've completed some of the Black King's skills. I almost forgot — I can complete and evolve skills now, ever since I fought the Mireborn King. That fight gave me an incredible ability. I can now refine blood skills and weaponize them however I like. That's going to be fun," he said.

Meanwhile, Kira stood in front of the dungeon portal.

He saved my life, Kira thought. If he hadn't appeared, I would've died. There's no doubt about it. He might be the strongest one among us.

No… he is strong.

"Hunter Raito," she murmured under her breath, "might be as strong as Masen Nibori — the one who carved the path for all Hunters."

Teleportation, flight, close combat… he has it all.

He's a one-man army.

He is capable of clearing a Rank S dungeon alone.
