The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter

Chapter 135: TOUCH OF GOD

Raito nodded slowly and sat back down. "Sit. We haven't even touched our coffee."

They drank quietly. When they were done, Raito paid and stood. The three of them left the café, walking toward the hospital where both siblings were staying.

After a few minutes, they arrived. Haruya said, "Let's go see mine first."

They walked through the hospital corridors and reached the room. Haruya's tears fell freely as he approached his brother's bed. "I… I'm still not used to this," he whispered. "Even after all these years… every time I see this… I can't help it…"

Raito said nothing, watching silently.

Haruya continued, voice trembling. "I know it's childish, but I can't help it."

"You're not childish," Raito said firmly. "I have a sister. My mom is the only one who died. If anything were to happen to my family… I'd feel the same."

Haruya nodded, understanding. Together, they moved to Daichi's brother's room.

"Hey… Boss… what are you doing?" Daichi asked nervously as Raito removed the IV drip.

Raito didn't answer. He placed his hand gently on the boy's chest. "Let's go," he said quietly. "I'll heal them."

Daichi swallowed. "Boss… something bad is going to happen, isn't it? You can't just—"

"I know," Raito interrupted. "Time counter. I can use it. You'll see."

Arms tense, Daichi nodded. Aria slammed her hand on Daichi's shoulder. "Have you forgotten who Boss is? Just wait and see."

Raito's face was deadly serious. Bandages wrapped around Daichi's brother and Haruya's brother, their bodies fragile and weak. He extended his hand, and the System Status Box appeared in the air before him.

He scrolled through, precise and deliberate. "Transfer Healing," he murmured.

Haruya and Daichi watched, bewildered. "Why is Boss moving his fingers like that?" Haruya whispered.

Raito tapped once… twice… then pressed his hand firmly on Daichi's brother's chest. A radiant light exploded outward, spreading through the room. The bonds on the boy's hands melted away, glowing and vanishing as if they had never existed.

The boy's face was still wrapped in bandages, but the rest of his body looked untouched.

Raito slowly removed his hand. Boom. The hand bindings were gone. But the boy remained in a coma.

Daichi stepped forward, hands trembling. He slowly peeled the bandages from his brother's face. And then… his eyes opened.

Coughing weakly, he blinked up at Daichi.

Daichi froze. Tears streamed down his face. He hugged his brother tightly.

Haruya watched silently, hand on Daichi's shoulder, feeling the weight of the moment.

The room was quiet except for the gentle coughs and the soft sound of two brothers reunited. Raito simply watched.

As Takumi slowly raised his head, his eyes fluttered open. Daichi then slowly moved forward.

"T-Takumi… is this you?" Daichi said, his voice trembling.

"Brother… I've been hearing your voice. I've been hearing everything you've been saying… all this while. You've been taking care of me, looking after me," Takumi whispered.

"Brother… thank you… thank you," Daichi said.

"Brother… tackle me," Takumi said. Both of them then sat on the bed. Daichi hugged him tightly, holding back the emotions swelling inside.

Slowly, Daichi removed his arms and looked into Takumi's eyes. He then jumped onto Raito's leg.

"Boss… boss… I'm forever indebted to you, boss. You are the greatest, boss. Thank you, boss. Thank you! You're going to be… I'm going to… you're going to be my boss and master. For the rest of my life, I will make sure I serve you, boss," Daichi said, his voice shaking.

"Ah… no, there's no need for that. Let go of my leg. Well… I'm the one who's actually indebted to you, boss, to you," Raito said calmly.

"Daichi… there's no need for that," Raito added.

"Thank you, boss. Thank you!" Daichi said again, voice filled with awe.

"You're welcome," Raito replied.

"Wow, boss… you're really amazing," Haruya said, watching the scene unfold.

Raito then carefully covered his face again. "I think it's time we leave, Haruya. Take me to your brother. The more people in the hospital, especially the receptionist… you saw how she was looking at me, boss. I have to cover my face. If they see me… they'll know I'm the one who conquered that dungeon. It'll cause massive attention. We need to be fast. Then I'll leave this place," Raito said.

"Yes, boss. Thank you… I appreciate it," Haruya said, nodding.

Daichi didn't stand up. He wanted to follow them, but Raito said, "There's no need to do that. You can spend some alone time with your brother. You haven't seen him in years… he's been in a coma."

Daichi nodded silently as Raito and Haruya walked out of the room.

"Wow, boss… you are truly amazing. Just… who are you? Are you a god or something? Who decided to come from heaven?" Haruya thought, right through his mind.

As they kept talking, they finally reached the room. As Raito entered, he saw Haruya's brother lying on the bed.

"This is my brother, Yuta. He's also been in a coma. You can see… he lost his leg," Haruya said.

Raito looked at him, his expression calm. Good… I can heal him. He thought. After I fought the War-Eater Dragon, I gained a skill… Regeneration.

"Close the door," Raito said. Haruya quickly shut it behind him.

Raito stretched out his hand toward Yuta's amputated leg. "Heal… heal… regeneration," he murmured.

The leg began forming, growing back instantly—the exact shape, the exact color, perfectly clean. Haruya staggered back, awe-struck.

He then carefully placed his hand on Yuta's chest. "Heal," he whispered.

Yuta's eyes slowly opened, breathing fast.

"What… what did he… do to us?" Haruya said, astonished.

Haruya ran forward and hugged his brother tightly on the bed, relief and tears mixing in his voice.

Then, Raito noticed something. His sharp eyes caught a camera in the corner of the room. He slowly lifted his head, making sure not to reveal his full face.

Oh shit… there's a camera in here. This is bad…

But his face wasn't fully visible. Still, he had to leave.

As some security personnel started rushing toward the room—the hospital had already contacted the reporters, confirming Raito was there, the one who had conquered the dungeon… one of the strongest dungeons ever recorded—Raito stayed calm.
