Claws smashed into Norald's horns, and the weight of the air between them shook from the flex of power.

He tried to hold it back with all his might, yet,

CRAAAACK!

The ground beneath his feet shattered into pieces, and he felt the tremendous weight pressed down on his claws.

But he never planned on pushing it back; he only needed to slow it down, which he had done.

In the next moment, Everlearn shifted to Norald's side, throwing his entire weight into the motion and forcefully twisting it to the side.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The creature shot forward, only to be raised and tumble to the ground on its side.

"Activate Claw Phantasm!"

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

Endless claw strikes fell upon Norald as Everlearn slashed downward with all his speed, forming countless claw images in the air around them.

Still,

CRACKLE!

Lightning crackled through the air, and in the next instant, he was sent flying backward, both hands crossed as four pillars of lightning struck toward Everlearn.

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

The ground shook thrice as he roughly smashed into it, bouncing up into the air, just to be faced with the sight of Norald's horns already right before him.

PIIIIIEEERCE!

The air was pierced as four horns skewered forward toward Everlearn's chest.

In that instant, his feet burst out with energy nozzles, and he shot to the side, barely avoiding the strike.

When he appeared right by Norald's flank, his claws slashed out toward one of its horns.

CRAAAACK!

The sound of something breaking rang out as a horn flew up into the sky.

But at that moment, Norald turned its back, slamming out with both hooves.

One struck Everlearn in the face, and the other smashed into the center of his chest.

BLEEEERRRRGH!

Blood burst from his lips as he was sent flying, crashing hard into the wall and forming a human-shaped crater within.

Norald turned toward the crater but then paused, noticing its horns.

It had once had four long horns, but now one lay broken on the ground beside its hooves.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!

A fiery roar left its bony maw as its right foot scrubbed thrice against the floor, sending sparks of white lightning trailing across the ground before it charged forward once more.

CRAAAACK!

The sound of the wall cracking resounded as Everlearn tore himself free from the crater.

He found Norald piercing forth with its three horns forward, and the nozzles beneath his feet burst with flames, throwing him high into the sky.

CRAAAASH!

Norald crashed into the wall, leaving an even deeper crater.

SLAAAAAP!

A powerful slap resounded as Everlearn slapped his raised hands together, sending himself flying downward.

His legs blasted down, smashing into Norald's back.

It was forced into the ground, the creature's upper body jerking upward from the force.

In that moment, Everlearn jumped off its back, appearing upside down in the air with both claws outstretched before its horns.

"Activate Spun Cleave!"

He spun in the air, and

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

The sound of something being torn apart rang out as his claws raked through Norald's horn, sending all three flying into the air.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!

A roar of pain left Norald's lips as its fiery eyes turned upward, only to find Everlearn falling toward it, holding two of its own horns in his palms.

"DIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!"

PIIIIEEERCEE!

RIIIIIIIIIIIP!

He tore one of the horns deep into Norald's remaining right eye, exerting so much force that it tore out from behind Norald's skull, while the other stabbed down toward its forehead, the same area already deformed by Van's suicidal attacks.

It tore through the half-broken spear embedded there, driving deeper until it also ripped out from the back of Norald's head.

BAAAAAAAAAANG!

A heavy detonation followed as Norald jerked its head forward, slamming into Everlearn's wide-open chest and once more sending him tumbling to the wall again.

But this time, it didn't follow with another attack.

Instead, its head wiggled in agony, shaking erratically as it struggled against the pain of its own horns stabbed into it.

In that moment, Everlearn made his choice.

Dipping his hand into his coat, he brought it out one of the objects he had brought for this mission, and the only one remaining.

The Singular Prism.

"I never planned on using this at all, but…"

He muttered, looking forward, and found Norald now steady on its feet, eyes turned to him.

Everlearn looked to the side, looking at Emiris, far away from them.

"You forced me," he said, throwing the prism forward with force.

It knocked into the running Norald's head, but while it should have been knocked away in that moment, it didn't.

Instead, it shattered, and out came a flurry of nano-particles that rapidly spread all over Norald's face.

The creature slammed into Everlearn, but it passed through the air.

Everlearn had already leapt away.

Turning behind, Norald found him running off into the distance.

Its instinct was immediately fired up to chase, but then it paused, noticing the tiny black material rapidly crawling across its face.

It was a black substance that continuously spread, again and again.

Norald wiggled, trying to tear them off, raking through with its claws, but it was useless.

The nano-particles quickly enveloped it, reforming into what seemed to be a nano-armor of black over its entire body.

"What is that!?"

Emiris asked as Everlearn arrived by his side, but all he got was

"RUN!"

Emiris picked up Penelope and ran after him.

They found a pillar and hid behind it.

From there, Everlearn cautiously peeked out.

There was Norald, writhing violently, trying to free itself from the nanos, but Everlearn watched coldly as its entire body was soon covered by it.

"It's over," he muttered silently.

The second he said that, crimson lights began to blink out of every single nano-particle covering Norald, and right before the widened eyes of both Emiris and Everlearn.

They watched as the blinking crimson lights came to a stop, and then Norald's massive body froze.

Silence endured for just three seconds before

KAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A terrifying explosion rocked the world with power.

Each single one of the nano-particles covering Norald detonated, sending a powerful shockwave through the hall, and they were barely protected by the pillar.

Everlearn, however, did not hide completely.

His eyes were wide open as he witnessed the full power of his creation:

A massive explosion greater than anything he had ever witnessed

"How beautiful," he murmured unconsciously, his eyes reflecting the halo of burning flames.

And when it dispersed.

There was… nothing.

Norald was nowhere to be seen, and not even his ashes remained.
