It was her:

A tomboy in a fiery red hoodie and matching trousers, lazily reclining by the railing side just opposite his door.

She rose upright when she saw him step out, her crimson eyes looking pinpoint at his blue ones.

"You're finally out…" she said, showing she had been waiting exactly for him, and his spine chilled.

Just what did an headache like her want from him on such a good day?

"Uh? And why are you here?" he asked, unconsciously having his hand swipe the card back on the scanner to slip back into his room, but he never even got the card in the scanner when she grabbed his shoulder, dragging him forward.

"Why are you trying to run, lecherous hypocrite?" she said, as Everlearn exhaled tiredly.

'Just why? It ought to be a peaceful morning.'

He was soon dragged into the elevator, watching her tap the buttons.

"And where are you dragging me to again? You know it would be a great coincidence if it just happened to be the cafeteria."

He asked as she took her fingers off the elevator, which gently shut.

"The cafetaria?" Kiara asked with a raised eyebrow, before a glint crossed her eyes and she continued, "Don't tell me you're a foodie."

"No, I'm not."

"Good. You don't need food so early if you're not one," she said, and his brows quivered.

'And there goes my cafeteria plan.'

DIIIIING!

The elevator opened not long after, and she stepped out with Everlearn following behind.

There were a lot of students moving around in the main hall, something especially rare during weekdays.

They found their way through the crowds, arriving at the entrance of the 2nd-year dorm building.

"You can fight, right?" she asked all of a sudden, as his brows furrowed from the bizarre question.

"Uh, actually, I'm a Mech Institute student, so..."

"You joined Mech Institute?" she asked, her brows furrowed in disbelief.

"I actually did for real, though," Everlearn replied, noticing the disbelief.

"That's dumb." She said, and his eyes dimmed.

"You're a good fighter. Core Defense is your clear suit, or are you secretly hiding a nerdy underside of yours?" she said, her nose wiggling, as he rolled his eyes.

"I just like Mech, than… causing trouble," he said, and she erupted loudly in laughter.

"You're the notorious troublemaker to the 2nd years, you lecherous liar," she claimed, and he sighed.

"Can you stop calling me lecherous?"

"Why not? It's what you are, remember?"She said with a hmph.

"I'm not lecherous, and that was a mistake. Besides, Rosa isn't my girlfriend. She's just a friend," he added, and she hmmed at him in disbelief.

"Whatever. You already broke Lyx's heart, and I'll be making sure you don't slide out of that easily," she said, grabbing his shoulder and resuming her dragging.

Everlearn could only sigh.

While he could easily leave her grasp if he so easily wanted, she was strong but not stronger than him; he couldn't due to the guilt he felt.

The story was simple:

Lyx: a really cute and beautiful girl had somehow fallen in love with him.

It was one of those love at first sight.

Everlearn had noticed her perched around like a fly, never really daring to come too close, yet always in any corner he looked.

He eventually learned she was too shy to muster the courage to ask him out.

But someone had helped her overcome her fear.

That person was Kiara, who had motivated the girl to gain her courage and approach him.

But when she had met Everlearn and shouted her proposal, he had erupted in laughter due to her stammering and how red her face grew, and that sent her running away in tears before he could even give a reply.

Now he was in a headache with Kiara, whom the girl had gone ahead and cried to, and she had promised to make his life as hell as she could.

Ever since, he had been trying to evade Kiara, unable to face her due to guilt, but he just had to be so cursed as to become her neighbour in the 2nd year!

As for why she called him lecherous… that's something he didn't want to recount and would rather keep secret between him and Kiara.

"How's Lyra doing anyway?" he asked, and she paused, turning to the side.

Everlearn looked up, finding a building standing before both of them.

"Broken as ever, by your lecherous ass," she claimed with a piercing look as he unconsciously shrank his head down his neck.

"Anyway, we're here…" she said, and his brows furrowed.

He had no recollection of such a building whatsoever.

"What are we doing here anyway?"

"To fight?" she asked.

"WHAT!?"

He shouted as Kiara disappeared within.

He followed, and when he stepped through, he was surprised, quickly followed by his bones chilling.

Inside the building, it had a dark setting, with very dim lights around, and reeked of alcohol and smoke.

It was like a bar of some sort, with students sitting around on the round tables, unusually quiet save for the sound of smoke being exhaled.

What was eye-raising, all of the students wore hoodies, making them harder to recognize, but it also made Everlearn fit in since he had been wearing a hoodie as usual.

"Wut the hell is this place?" he whispered, catching up to Kiara who waltzed forward confidently as if the place was her personal room.

"A nice place," she said, and he stared at her like he had seen a ghost.

"What?"

"I always knew you were a little off, but going dark mood isn't in my—"

"Shut UP! Lecherous ass!" she exclaimed, pinching his neck as she dragged him through a stairway that led up onto the second floor.

"Well, look who's finally here. Took you long enough."

A voice called out the second they arrived on the 2nd floor, followed by loud boisterous laughter from others around.

"You lame assess really are so desperate to keep your ego, you'll come earlier than your little peepees usually cum, for it."

Kiara replied as the men's laughter halted in their throats, while a boisterous laughter quickly followed from Everlearn, who quickly got the gaze on him.

He paused when he noticed the murderous stare, whispering:

"Sorry. That was just too good."
