Deep frowns formed on my forehead.
I was being overwhelmed by the sheer size and power if this beast, meaning I couldn't remain passively defending forever like this.
As the behemoth Domogon became charging for another relentless attack, I saw my opening and leapt against a boulder towards its head.
However, I wasn't the only I e waiting for an opening. Matching the timing of my jump, Domogon quickly leaned its upper torso back. Then, the massive club flew in towards me from the left side while drawing a deadly arc in the air.
At that split second I thought the creature had finally got me, exposed with no form of shield to protect me.
If there were places where my hands or feet could touch, the story might have been different but there was no way id be able to dodge the attack in mid air.
And even if I managed to block it, who knew just where I would end up from the rebound.
As the time slowed down in my perception, I stared at the club approaching ever closer and leaked out a groan.
A way, there must be a way! If I could move my body then surely, I'd be able to dodge this with no problems.
When my thoughts arrived at that point, an idea popped into my head.
But, there was no time to contemplate on the idea just do it. I activated my Spacial Manipulation ability and created a pocket of space behind me, letting the club come in contact with my arm first of all and using that moment to push my entire body into the spacial pocket and disappear from that location entirely.
Of course, the damage dealt to my hand will be no small feat, but considering what could be done to the rest of my body, this was reasonable.
Whoosh!
Shiom!
Skkwaaackkk!
The last thing I heard was the bones in my left arm shattering to pieces inside me. I entered the rift safely and reopened right behind the monstrous Shadow creature.
I managed to find my balance and sighed in relief even though my left hand was shattered and looking all unnatural and disfigured.
The pain was serious and crazily painful but it would be unwise to focus on that now.
With my remaining good hand, I scratched the side of my head while staring at Domogons grey face.
"Now what should I do about this?"
If I exited my Spacial rift in front of the damn thing, it would have regrouped and smashed into me again.
Attacking other body parts instead of its head didn't look like I'd be able to critically wound it, not with all those layers of shadowy flesh getting in the way.
I had to go for the head to kill this creature, but who's to say if the magic stone is even stored in its head, what if this creature has the ability to relocate the position of its life force. That would definitely add to my precarious position right now, not to mention if it is able to use Soul Manifestation.
It was a this point that yet another, and an arguably excellent idea popped up inside my head.
"Only one way to find out..."
Staring at the creature from behind.
"Skill... Divine Thread..."
Using my skill, I was able to determine the location of the creatures magic stone. It was locked dead center in the middle of its forehead, and on top of that it didn't possess any other stones on it, just one.
Suddenly, I turned around and ran. Domogon mistook my action as me trying to escape and hurriedly chased after me.
I ran with moderated speed so that the bastard could chase me and I wouldn't be out of reach. As soon as I realized that I had made several distance from the subordinates of Domogon, I turned facing the creature.
Knowing fully well that this bastard has the ability to move swiftly despite its size, especially considering its movements with that clubbed hand of it.
I needed that magic stone, but I also needed to eat out the massive, fat size of the creature and I was getting tired of fighting a boss that I hadn't landed a single blow on.
Facing the creature, I fired a straight shot of Spacial Manipulation Technique: Repell. The matter pushed the creature back, but due to its hulking size and weight, it only managed to push the creature several meters back.
To which the creature immediately covered in the blink of an eye.
"Tch!".
So far, my so called grand and illustrious plan wasn't working at all. I needed enough time to charge up my special technique of erase to destroy that fatty, shadowy mid section of the boss monster, that way I would preserve the stone embedded in its forehead.
But this behemoth Domogon knew the concept of close combat and wasn't going to give me the time of day to even attempt and attack.
I narrowly dodged a few relentless slams of its massive club and I was starting to feel like I was out of options, I would have to get creative.
Whoosh!
The beast swung its club against, but this time at a diagonal arc, meaning that the only way I could dodge it is by going up.
I jumped high in the air and that when I realized that a Shadow creature boss monster just outsmarted me.
"Eeek!"
The creature grabbed me with its trunk and wrapped it's tight grip around me.
"You bastard you swung diagonally knowing I would jumped, giving you the chance to grab me... Tch!".
I Wasn't sure what the creature had in mind, but just like my left arm, the rest of my body was getting crushed. So I decided this was going to be a race against who can crush eachother faster.
"Spacial Manipulation Technique: Repell..."
Shiom!
The spacial manipulation technique mass that repels appeared beside me, floating in the air waiting for my directed command. It shimmered and shone with its signature golden shine to it and had its signature broken glass like texture and look.
"Spacial Manipulation Technique: Attract..."
Shiom!
The spacial mass for attract appeared on the opposite side of the repell, floating in the air also waiting for my directed command. It shimmered and shone with its signature silver shine to it and also had its signature broken glass like texture and look.
"Erase..."
I muttered with a wheeze as Domogons trunk squeezed the living day life out of me. It was now or never.
Both spacial mass clashed in the usual violent meeting and I immediately directed the entire thing towards the midsection of the behemoth.
Boom!
The explosion was instant as the conjunction mass didn't have to travel long distance to get to its target.
Shattering the entire midsection of the creature into shadowy Igor and therefore causing the creature to growl in pain and loose its tight, malicious grip on me.
I knew this attack was enough to daze the creature to gain more time as I didn't go for its vital spot. Now was my chance.
"Gahhh!".
With my remaining good hand, I retrieved the Cobra's Tongue from my inventory and leapt onto the now lying face up creature.
Wasting no time, I rained down hundreds upon hundreds of attacks at its face slashing at everything that had that shadowy texture to it, and I didn't stop until I saw the magic stone in light.
I gripped my blade in-between my teeth and dug my right hand in and pulled out the stone with all the power I could muster.
...
...
...
Boom!
The creature explo
ded into a cloud of black dust like some pressurized effect.
Ding!
