Chapter 149: The Celebration of Faunus

The captured female players drew their weapons, trying to avoid combat in order to help their male companions who were imprisoned in the cage. To their surprise, they saw the men emerging from the cage with ease. Kitsune immediately engaged the orcs in battle, while Kimhant stayed in the rear, dealing with any stray orcs that came his way.

The captured players saw this as a golden opportunity to exact revenge on the orcs and level up. They formed groups and joined the orcs purging array, noticing that Chang Long had to be of a very high level, as she was quickly dispatching the orcs. The person fighting the Orc King had to be of an even higher level, possibly higher than the Orc King himself, who was level 100.

Hisa-chan, temporarily brought back to life by the Spirit Incarnation skill, looked every bit the dignified warrior. He was tall and well-built, with a fair complexion and neatly tied long black hair. His piercing eyes and the calm way he held his sword reflected his readiness for battle.

"You human. How dare you steal the heart of my beloved. Die!"

The Orc King roared at Hisa-chan, charging at him without any regard for the difference in their power levels. The young samurai stood smiling, unperturbed. In an instant, his sword was drawn swiftly, tracing a line of light in the air. This caused blood to splatter from the Orc King's right arm. As Hisa-chan sheathed his sword, another wound appeared on the Orc King's bare chest, causing him to step back in shock, out of Hisa-chan's sword range.

Blood streamed continuously from the severe wounds on the Orc King's right arm and chest. The sight of Hisa-chan filled him with even greater hatred. He discarded the large sword in his hand and kicked a nearby spear up from the ground.

The Orc King was muttering words that Chang Long could not fully understand, but could make out as "sacrifice blood for power," the spear in the Orc King's hand began to emit a black light. When the light faded, the wooden-handled spear with a regular iron blade had transformed into a high-quality iron spear with a serrated blade that looked extremely dangerous.

The Orc King seemed ready to sacrifice his life to kill Hisa-chan, but instead of being intimidated, Hisa-chan appeared excited that the Orc King seemed to be stronger that he thought. Hisa-chan eagerly awaited the life-or-death attack. As the Orc King prepared to charge, Hisa-chan braced himself, sensing the danger emanating from the spear.

The Orc King thrusted his spear at Hisa-chan with incredible speed, the tip of the spear generating a violent whirlwind. The air around it seemed to be torn apart as the spear approached Hisa-chan. He raised his sword to parry the attack, astonished by the immense power pushing him back with ease. The intense wind from the impact forced Hisa-chan to squint at his opponent, who was grinning maliciously and pressing the spear harder, hoping to pierce through him.

Hisa-chan smiled slightly as he felt the pressure from the spear gradually lessen. He noticed Chang Long beginning to consume a mana crystal, so he decided it was time to finish off the Orc King. The young samurai swung his sword forcefully once, causing the spear to veer slightly to the side. He then leapt into the air, somehow having already sheathed his sword, and shouted his skill's name:

"Constant Blade!"

The surroundings seemed to darken momentarily as Hisa-chan drew his sword once more, which glowed white as if it were emitting light. The white light slashed rapidly toward the Orc King, whose iron spear fell to the ground, its power dissipated. The Orc King's body was severed into halves, a gruesome death.

Meanwhile, Chang Long was fiercely fighting against level 50 beautiful orc women and level 52 fierce orc women. The battle was quite challenging due to the sheer number of orc women swarming her. Despite having Devi-chan, a level 100 spirit, possess her, she still struggled. Fortunately, her sword was razor-sharp, slicing through their thick skin with ease. Additionally, Kitsune and the Grim Reaper significantly weakened their forces.

"Cedric!"

Chang Long called out, and the Blood Ruby Sword sheathed at her waist swiftly flew out and attacked the enemies without needing further command. While others, who could not see the spirit, saw the sword seemingly move on its own, Chang Long could see Cedric, the spirit, wielding the sword against the orc women.

Though puzzled by Cedric's ability to handle the sword without a physical body, Chang Long had no time for questions. She was barely keeping up with the onslaught from each orc woman. Their attacks were powerful, intense, and fast, contrasting with their bulky hippopotamus-like bodies.

Ahhh!

An Orc woman screamed as Hisa-chan's blade slashed through her. It seemed the Orc King's death had significantly weakened the remaining orcs. The players, who had struggled initially, were now putting pressure on the orc warriors.

Kimhant skillfully collected the loot dropped by the Orc King, staying on the outskirts of the battle and finishing off severely wounded enemies. Without their king, the orcs' attacks became chaotic. Some started fleeing to save themselves or perhaps to preserve their race. Eventually, no living orcs remained in the vicinity.

"Sigh... Devi-chan, Spirit Summoning,"

Chang Long exhaled and released Devi-chan from her body. She then sipped her black rose tea, relieved. Looking around, she saw that none of the players had died, although some were seriously injured. The group of players who had been captured even managed to capture one of the orc warriors.

Before everyone could do more than pull out and consume the blood crystals and rejuvenating crystals, they heard faint music from afar. As they turned to look, they saw numerous half-goat people, both men and women, dancing and singing merrily as they approached. Each one had a human upper body and a goat lower body, with long horns on their foreheads like those of a goat.

The half-goat people swarmed into the orc camp, searching for food and drink, and began playing music, throwing a celebratory feast amid the bewilderment of Chang Long and the other players.

"What is going on here..."

Chang Long muttered, watching the actions of the half-goat people in confusion.

"Hey! You're the one who drove the orcs away, right!"

One of the half-goat people, appearing quite drunk, walked up to Chang Long.

"Not exactly,"

Chang Long replied, not entirely trusting these half-goat people.

"No, no, you were the key. How did you manage to scare the Orc King so much?"

The half-goat person asked again, a teasing glint in his eyes.

"The Orc King is just insane!"

Chang Long responded irritably, walking away from the drunken half-goat.

"Hey, why's the rush? Don't you want a reward from us? Look, all your friends are joining our feast, so why should a hero like you leave!"

The half-goat person shouted loudly.

"Because I'm so full I could puke!"

Chang Long turned and replied. The players joining the feast were only the male players; none of the female players were interested in the greasy food for a long while.

"But you guys helped us reclaim our old home. And if we combine it with the new place that's ten times better, our kingdom would be pretty significant."

The half-goat persisted, staggering towards her and downing a glass of wine in one gulp.

"What do you really want!"

Chang Long asked, exasperated, not understanding why this drunken half-goat kept pestering her.

"Celebrate with us, and I'll tell you what we want!"

The half-goat grinned cunningly and gestured for Chang Long to join their feast. Kimhant and Kitsune seemed delighted by the invitation, as they had been starving for a long time.

The celebration continued until dusk, with the singing and dancing becoming increasingly lively. The sound of music echoed throughout the forest, accompanied by joyful laughter. Chang Long watched the celebration with boredom. The female players were invited to dance and were pampered by the half-goat people, which the system identified as Faunus. Meanwhile, the male players were enjoying the food and the Faunus' special wine.

"Hey, aren't you bored just sitting here? Oh! You've got quite a lot of good stuff there, don't you? That orange-haired boy—such a high-class pet. You must be quite something,"

the same Faunus sat down next to Chang Long, his eyes scanning the items she carried, including the two swords at her waist and Kitsune, whom the Faunus recognized as a transformed beast.

"None of your business,"

Chang Long replied wearily. She had been waiting so long that her patience was running thin. This Faunus still had not revealed the mission he mentioned.

"Come on, don't be so grumpy. I'm here because I want you to do a mission for me. It's really simple—just go and woo her for me,"

the Faunus pointed to another Faunus. Although they all looked similar, they had both genders, and the females were slenderer, with smoother skin and longer eyelashes.

"Huh?"

Chang Long was stunned by the mission, which seemed more absurd than any she had ever received.

"Come on, if you succeed in wooing her for me, I'll tell you the location of the person who fights using souls like you!"

Chang Long rubbed her temples, not knowing what to do. She had never wooed anyone in her life, so trying to woo a girl for someone else was even more daunting. Although the system indicated that she had only tonight to complete the mission, she still did not know where to start. Finally, Chang Long thought of her friends, especially Oliang, who seemed to be quite experienced in wooing girls, according to Lidded Wet Trash Can, Oliang's close friend. Although she had never seen him flirt with girls in the game.

Beep beep beep beep

"What's up, Chang Long?"

Oliang answered the call cheerfully.

"O, how do you woo a girl?"

Chang Long asked directly, causing Oliang to be slightly taken aback.

"Woo a girl... Who are you planning to woo, Chang Long?"

Oliang asked back, his tone indicating considerable surprise.

"A Faunus girl. It's a mission, and I'm really annoyed. I've never wooed anyone before,"

Chang Long replied, sounding thoroughly exasperated.

"Sigh... It's not hard at all, Chang Long. You just need to observe carefully to see what kind of personality she has, what she likes and dislikes,"

Oliang sighed in relief and began explaining like an expert.

"Uh-huh, then what?"

Chang Long asked, immediately observing the Faunus girl.

"Then you have to make a move, in a way that you've figured out she'll like for sure. First impressions are really important,"

Oliang emphasized seriously.

"Uh-huh, make a move,"

Chang Long listened and observed, noticing that the Faunus girl liked dancing, drinking wine, and being pampered. She also liked glancing at good-looking Faunus males.

"After that, it's all up to each person's methods,"

Oliang laughed.

"Alright, thanks, O. I only have tonight,"

Chang Long rolled her eyes.

"Wait! Uh... call Siegfried when you get a chance, it seems he wants to talk to you,"

Oliang quickly added before Chang Long could hang up.

"Sure, I'll call him,"

Chang Long replied and ended the call.

Chang Long turned to look at the hopeful Faunus waiting for her. Seeing her approach, he quickly asked if she had found a way to help him woo the Faunus girl.

"Well, is there any way you can help me?"

"There is, but it's tough since you're not handsome enough to catch her eye,"

Chang Long replied, brutally honest. And she was right—the Faunus who asked for her help had a goofy face and a skinny frame, lacking the muscular build of other Faunus males.

"Oh, no, does that mean I have no hope..."

The Faunus shook his head in despair.

"Hehe, you don't know who you're asking for help... Kitsune, come here!"

Chang Long chuckled and called for Kitsune, who seemed quite fond of the wine and was slightly tipsy.

"What is it, master?"

Kitsune asked, looking a bit dazed from having drunk several glasses of wine. Meanwhile, Kimhant was left guarding the spirit tablets of Hisa-chan and Devi-chan, who were celebrating invisibly among the Faunus.

"Do you see that handsome Faunus over there?"

Chang Long pointed out a well-built Faunus male that the target Faunus girl often glanced at.

"I see him, master."

"Use your new skill to make this guy look as handsome and muscular as him,"

Chang Long instructed, unable to suppress a smile.

"Huh, uh, sure, master!"

Kitsune agreed, still feeling a bit confused but understanding that whether human or beast, everyone wanted to be attractive to the opposite sex.

With Kitsune agreeing, Chang Long led the two of them behind a thick bush to transform the love-stricken Faunus without drawing attention from the players and Faunus who were enjoying the celebration.

"Hundred Forms!"

Kitsune closed his eyes, picturing the handsome Faunus male, and invoked the newly acquired skill. A golden aura emanated from Kitsune's hands as he touched the love-stricken Faunus. The golden light quickly spread throughout the Faunus' body.
