"Liora disappeared from the Sylvan Depths? How is it possible? Why did you allow her to enter alone in the first place?''
In a luxurious meeting room, Lucien's mother, Seraphine, was seen anxious as she asked the two figures seated in front.
One sitting calmly with a composed expression was Count Alaric Evergreen, his noble bearing as heavy as the air around him.
While the other sitting beside him, crossing her long legs so naturally, was Elara Veluna, Liora's mother.
Her posture was gracious, yet the faint curve of her body drew attention without her even trying.
The soft fabric of her gown outlined her figure, showing a slight cleavage and the shape of her thighs beneath the slit of her dress.
There was a certain elegance in the way she carried herself, appearing poised, confident, and quietly enchanting.
"Ask him. He was the one who allowed her to enter in the first place."
Elara said with a little annoyance while pointing at Count Alaric. She seemed angry and dissatisfied with his behaviour.
"I didn't know that she would just disappear. Why are you blaming me?"
Count Alaric slowly placed the tea cup from his hand on the table and replied lightly to Elara.
From how he looked, he didn't seem anxious at all about Liora's disappearance.
Rather, he looked at Seraphine and asked,
"Before she asked me to enter the Sylvan Depths, she looked quite annoyed and hurt."
"And from what I know, she seems to have gone with you to meet Lucien. Do you know anything about what happened?"
It wasn't a secret that Liora took Seraphine with her to meet Lucien. With just a few inquiries, Count Alaric knew what had happened.
Since Liora disappeared suddenly, any lead would be a good lead.
"Umm…it is true that Liora came with me to meet Lucien. After meeting him, she just left. So… I don't know the reason behind her disappearance."
Seraphine replied awkwardly as she also realized that she seemed to have ignored that girl a little.
With Sera and Litilth's sudden appearance, she completely forgot about that girl.
'Is that girl jealous of my son? Is this the reason why she disappeared?'
She couldn't help but think, but shook her head.
As far as she knew, Liora wasn't like that. There was no way she would just disappear on her own accord.
There must have been something that happened inside that dungeon.
"Let's wait for Lucien. Maybe he knows something."
Seeing the anxious look on Elara, Seraphine grabbed her hand and consoled her lightly.
"What happened? Why did that little girl suddenly disappear?"
Just as the situation inside the meeting room was stiff, Malcolm's voice echoed, followed by the appearance of Lucien and Cedric behind him.
"Oh…Lord Malcolm! It is nice to meet you."
Seeing Malcolm in front, Count Alaric was surprised, hurriedly stood up from his chair, and cupped his hand in salute.
Although in rank, he was a count, and they were viscounts, in age and realm, Malcolm was his senior. Moreover, he had helped him a lot in the past.
So, a little respect was necessary.
Elara also stood up from her seat and bowed slightly before sitting again. Due to the disappearance of her daughter, she was quite stressed, so she wasn't in the mood for anything else.
"Hmm…no need for formality. Just tell me what happened."
Malcolm didn't mind asking Count to sit while sitting opposite, along with Lucien and Cedric.
"Sigh…it is quite odd."
Count Alaric sat on his chair, picked up the cup of tea from the table, and narrated the incident while taking a small sip.
"In the morning, Liora came to meet me and asked me to allow her to enter the Sylvan Depths urgently. She said there was something in there and she had to go to get it."
He continued,
"Looking at her urgency, she didn't seem to be lying. Besides, Sylvan Depths isn't a dangerous dungeon, and with her identity, there shouldn't be any issue."
"So, after thinking for a while, I allowed her to enter alone, just as she requested, under the condition that she return in time. But even after long hours, she didn't appear… so…"
Alraic sighed as if he was caught off guard by the situation.
"Did you send your men to search for her inside? What about the news from elves?"
Malcolm asked again, with a confused look.
Sylvan Depths was an Advanced rank Dungeon owned by the Evergreen family. They knew the ins and outs of that place.
He couldn't understand how Liora could suddenly disappear.
"Yeah, but they found nothing. Even Elara and I entered and asked the Elves inside, but they had no clue. They didn't even see Liora appear inside."
Count Alaric himself looked confused as this seemed too absurd.
"Lucien, do you know anything? Did Liora say something to you before leaving?"
While Malcolm and Alaric were thinking about the situation, Elara looked at Lucien and asked anxiously. Her frown and distress made her appear even more delicate than usual.
"No, she didn't. She was just asking me for a few gold coins like always."
Lucien replied, feeling a little confused.
To be honest, he had a hunch that her disappearance might be related to that dungeon. After all, Liora did ask him to enter it with her.
And although she was asking for gold coins, she was clearly asking for a purpose.
"Sigh…then, it must have something to do with that Dungeon. I don't know if she is even alright or not."
Hearing Lucien's response, Elara sighed in distress, feeling sad.
"I think that girl entered the World of Origin accidentally."
Just as the atmosphere around the room turned somber, Malcolm suddenly spoke, surprising everyone.
"World of Origin? But…Sylvan Depths is a closed dungeon with no access to that world."
Alaric heard Malcolm and shook his head. It wasn't that he didn't think of that; it was just not possible.
A closed dungeon didn't have any access to the World of Origin, and without a dedicated portal, it couldn't lead there.
But just an Advanced rank dungeon didn't have the ability to make such a complex portal.
Otherwise, why would it be stuck in this world like this?
"No, there is a way to enter the World of Origin even if it is a closed dungeon."
However, Malcolm shook his head, his face turning serious.
There were always exceptions, and when it came to the complex and mysterious world like that, exceptions were common.
"Are you talking about…Wandering Realm?"
Sure enough, Count Alaric immediately understood what he was trying to say.
Wandering Realm, as the name suggests, was a higher world that wandered this cosmos. Its appearance was erratic and random, and nobody without an invitation could enter it.
However, it was also the realm that could breach a closed dungeon and allow someone to travel to the World of Origin.
Only, this was so rare that even Alaric just heard in passing.
"Yeah, Wandering Realm."
Malcolm nodded and began to explain as he saw the doubt in the Count's face.
"Our world, Soren, is about to get engulfed, and its origin is about to disappear. In such a dire situation, it is natural for some rare phenomena to happen."
Although his explanation was far-fetched, it still gave them a perspective of what should have happened inside.
After all, there was no way someone would just disappear out of nowhere.
"Is her soul card alright?"
Malcolm suddenly looked at Elara and asked.
"Yeah, her soul card is fine, and there is no damage."
Elara said so, as that was also the reason she was relatively calm. It meant her daughter had just disappeared, but she was still okay.
"Then, she must have encountered a Wandering Realm. The rule of the Wandering realm is weird, so she couldn't just divulge it to anyone."
Malcolm affirmed and consoled slightly,
"Don't worry. In my opinion, it is her luck to encounter such things. Let her have her share of adventures, too.
As long as her life isn't in danger, there is no need to worry."
He said, relieving both Alaric, Elara, and Lucien in the process.
"Thank you, Sir Malcolm. I hope it is just what you said."
Elara breathed a sigh of relief and finally smiled beautifully for the first time. Since Malcolm was almost sure, she knew that worrying brought nothing.
Although she was still not that happy with her husband's reckless behaviour.
"Don't worry, I am about to enter that world too. I will look for her if it is possible."
Malcolm waved his hand lightly and then stood up from his seat.
"Okay, you guys talk here, I have something to do."
After saying that, he slowly left the room, intending to make final preparations for the upcoming adventure.
