My Top-Tier Tycoon Wife

Chapter 116 Trouble Again!

Xiang Laoer wasn't as patient as Tao Laosi. His mind was completely filled with thoughts of Lin Xiyue's fiery figure. The taste of Sea City's number one beauty—who wouldn't want to try it?

Lin Xiyue said with a smile, "Mr. Xiang, if there's anything to discuss, we can do it right here."

Xiang Laoer shook his head and chuckled lightly. He wasn't sure if Lin Xiyue genuinely didn't understand his meaning or was just feigning ignorance.

"Miss Lin, to be frank, I had someone investigate before I came... You won't be able to come up with this money today."

His sharp eyes were fixed on Lin Xiyue. Without waiting for her to speak, he continued, "Even the Sun Family wouldn't be able to gather this much money in such a short time."

"This is thirty billion we're talking about!"

"So, I wanted to discuss with you, Miss Lin… how you plan to make this payment today."

Lin Xiyue's expression remained unchanged. "You two bosses can rest assured. I will pay the money, and I guarantee not a single cent will be missing."

Hearing this, Xiang Laoer scoffed. He clearly didn't believe her.

"It's come to this, Miss Lin, and you're still putting on an act?"

"Miss Lin, I, Xiang Laoer, am an uncultured man. I hadn't even finished elementary school when I started herding cattle. I came to Sea City at fourteen to claw my way up from the bottom. Although I've made a name for myself now, at the end of the day, I'm just a guy from the underworld."

Lin Xiyue elegantly lifted her teacup. "Is this you wanting to chat about life with me, Mr. Xiang?" she asked with a smile.

Xiang Laoer chuckled. "Perhaps you educated young people look down on a man like me, but that's fine. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that I've taken a liking to you."

Lin Xiyue's brows furrowed slightly. "What do you mean by that, Mr. Xiang?"

Xiang Laoer suddenly stood up and looked directly at Lin Xiyue. "Alright, I'll be direct. I want you to spend a few nights with me. I want to get a taste of our Sea City's number one beauty."

Lin Xiyue scoffed. "At your age, don't you have any shame saying something like that?"

Xiang Laoer laughed heartily. "People like us? What need do we have for shame?"

"Miss Lin, I'm not like those young hypocrites who are all phony!"

"They desperately want to get you into bed but are too embarrassed to say it."

"When I, Xiang Laoer, want something, I say it outright. Whether or not I can get it is another matter entirely."

"How about it, Miss Lin? I'll give you two minutes to consider."

Lin Xiyue smiled. "I'll give *you* three minutes to explain to me how you developed senile dementia."

Hearing this, Xiang Laoer didn't get angry. He said, "If you can't pay up later, don't blame us for being ruthless. But if you're obedient now, I can grant you a small extension."

He then glanced over at Xu Qianqing and smiled. "Of course, Miss Lin, you're a woman of noble birth and high status. I can understand if you're unwilling to debase yourself for an old man like me."

"But if you have Miss Xu here step in... perhaps I could be persuaded to give you an extension of a few days."

At these words, Xu Qianqing's expression turned grim.

She asked coldly, "Mr. Xiang, aren't you afraid of what Luo Xiu will do when he finds out?"

"Something like this is all about mutual consent," Xiang Laoer laughed carelessly. "We each get what we want."

"Besides, I'm just making a suggestion. I haven't actually forced you to do anything. If you don't agree, I can't make you, right? So what does it matter if he finds out?"

"If you're not willing, then you'll just have to find the money."

Just then, Luo Xiu's playful voice called from the doorway.

"I say, Boss Xiang, it's not even five o'clock. Why are you as antsy as a prostitute who hasn't been paid? Afraid your client is going to stiff you?"

Hearing the voice, Xiang Laoer looked over and couldn't help but shudder. He was still terrified of Luo Xiu. The events of that one night remained vivid in his memory.

Lin Xiyue looked toward Luo Xiu, the corners of her mouth lifting into a slight smile. A sense of security instantly washed over her. She had been quite intimidated facing the two Dragon Heads of Sea City alone.

Luo Xiu, dressed lazily in shorts and slippers, sauntered over and sat down beside Lin Xiyue.

She gave him an inquisitive look.

Luo Xiu naturally knew what she wanted to ask, but he merely smiled and said nothing. In truth, he hadn't participated in today's operation personally; he had sent Guan Changyun in his stead.

"Good afternoon, you two bosses," Luo Xiu said with a smile.

Xiang Laoer and Tao Laosi exchanged a glance, their expressions turning ugly.

Tao Laosi forced a smile. "General Luo... no, I should be calling you Boss Luo now."

Luo Xiu waved his hand dismissively. "Whatever."

Tao Laosi asked, "Hasn't Boss Luo taken a liking to fishing recently? What brings you to the company?"

Luo Xiu laughed. "It seems Boss Tao has investigated me quite thoroughly, to even know that I enjoy fishing."

"For a man like Boss Luo, one must naturally pay close attention," Tao Laosi said with a faint smile.

Xiang Laoer grunted coldly and settled back onto the sofa. "Luo Xiu, what could you possibly pay with? We're talking thirty billion!"

Luo Xiu shrugged. "To be honest, I really can't produce that much cash right now. I'm afraid I'll have to ask you two big bosses for a short extension."

Xiang Laoer's attitude was firm. "My apologies, but the South and West Districts don't run a charity." He pulled two contracts from his bag and tossed them onto the table.

"If you can't come up with the money, that's fine too. Sign these share transfer contracts. You can use your Shen Luo Company shares to settle the debt!"

Luo Xiu smiled. "No rush. We can sign after five."

"Fine! We'll wait until five!"

Just then, Tao Laosi's phone rang. Glancing at Luo Xiu, he took out the phone and stepped aside to answer it.

"Boss... we've got... we've got... big trouble!" his subordinate's stammering voice came through the phone.

Tao Laosi's expression grew stern, a bad feeling suddenly twisting in his gut.

"What is it?!"

"Our transport convoy... it was robbed again on its way into the city!"

"What did you say?!" Tao Laosi roared and slammed his phone down. Fortunately, it was durable enough not to break, and he quickly snatched it back up.

"What the hell happened? Who did it? Daring to rob us in broad daylight!"

"I... I don't know either. But I think it was the same crew from last time."

"The Fly Whale Gang did this?"

"It seems so."

"Fly Whale Gang... that damned Fly Whale Gang!" Tao Laosi hissed, trembling with rage, his teeth practically grinding to dust.

He hung up and looked at Xiang Laoer, his face on the verge of tears.

"Laoer... something urgent has come up. Maybe we should leave first?"

Seeing the look on Tao Laosi's face, Xiang Laoer instantly understood what had happened.

"No need to rush, gentlemen. You've come all this way," Luo Xiu said suddenly, just as the two were about to bolt. "Why not stay a little longer?"
