"Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation?!"
Upon hearing Luo Xiu's words, many in the audience stared in shock, their mouths agape.
Among the crowd, Xia Chan and Yang Zhilu exchanged a glance, their expressions turning solemn. Although the two were not experts in formations, they had heard of the Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation. It was said to be a formation handed down from ancient times, one that no one had managed to solve to this day.
Master Zheng's complexion also turned rather grim. If it was truly the Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation as Luo Xiu claimed, he had to admit he would never find the correct path. The formation's pathways were ever-changing; finding the single correct route was like looking for a needle in a haystack!
Just the thought of a young bookworm like Luo Xiu recognizing this formation irked him. He suddenly smirked disdainfully and asked Luo Xiu, "And how did Dr. Chen determine that this is the Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation?"
Luo Xiu looked at the fork in the road ahead and said flatly, "The Eighteen Paths of the Ghostly Passage, each leading to the Netherworld. The three forks here each split into six more paths, corresponding exactly to the eighteen ghostly paths."
Hearing this, Master Zheng clenched his teeth but brazenly declared, "How could I not have seen that? In fact, I knew from the start this was the Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation. The real problem now is finding the one and only path of life."
At that point, Xia Chan asked, "Dr. Chen, can you find the path of life that leads inside?"
Luo Xiu shook his head gently. "I cannot find a path of life."
Master Zheng chuckled. "It seems Dr. Chen has only learned things from books. In practice, that knowledge is utterly useless!" He then added, "Miss Chu, rest assured. Just give me three more days—three at most—and I will definitely find the path of life to get in!"
At this point, Luo Xiu turned and walked toward the exit of the cave.
Watching his retreating figure, Master Zheng felt even more disdain. "What, is Dr. Chen giving up so soon?" he scoffed.
As he walked, Luo Xiu said, "I just told you… the Eighteen Paths of the Ghostly Passage, each leading to the Netherworld. Since you intend to step onto the ghostly paths, you are bound to take a path of death. Where would you find a path of life?
"The only way to break this formation is not to enter it at all. Moreover, this Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation is not the entrance to the Land of Lawlessness, but its exit.
"To emerge from this formation is to leave the ghostly paths, and if you are leaving the ghostly paths, there must naturally be a path of life to be found."
He stopped, turning to look at Master Zheng. "And yet you, who are about to step onto the ghostly paths, insist on finding a path of life. This is putting the cart before the horse. You could search for a lifetime and never find one.
"It's like going into a brothel and expecting to find a virtuous maiden."
"You brat..." Master Zheng was left speechless by Luo Xiu's words.
Xia Chan asked, "So, you're saying this Mazetrace Ghost Gate Formation was set up here merely as a deception to lead people astray?"
Luo Xiu nodded. "If you were the King of Law and didn't want anyone entering the Land of Lawlessness after your death, would you make the entrance so obvious?"
Upon hearing this, Xia Chan's face lit up with sudden realization.
Yang Zhilu chuckled softly. "Who would have thought? Dr. Chen, you really have a few tricks up your sleeve."
Luo Xiu ignored her and pointed toward a small hillock in the distance. "The real entrance to the Land of Lawlessness should be over there."
"How can you be so sure?" Master Zheng snorted. "That place is completely unremarkable, with no favorable feng shui to speak of."
Luo Xiu didn't even bother to glance at him. "How I'm sure is none of your damn business."
"You..." Master Zheng trembled with rage, wishing he could tear Luo Xiu limb from limb.
At this, Xu Wei spoke up. "It's precisely because the place is unremarkable that it's a likely entrance. If I were the King of Law, I would also place my domain's entrance somewhere inconspicuous."
Luo Xiu then made his preparations and led Dou Dou and Chi Sha toward the small hillock. He had wandered the area a few days prior while searching for herbs. The hillock might have seemed nondescript and ordinary, but many rare Spiritual Medicines grew nearby, which indicated the Spiritual Energy there was dense. It was very likely the spiritual energy barrier that guarded the Land of Lawlessness. Since the Land of Lawlessness was a Secret Realm, it had to have such a barrier.
Xia Chan, Yang Zhilu, and the others exchanged glances. Recalling Luo Xiu's performance, they decided to follow him. No matter how they looked at it, this Dr. Chen seemed far more reliable than Master Zheng. Although Master Zheng was still skeptical, he had no choice but to follow once everyone else did.
A short while later, under Luo Xiu's lead, the group followed a stream upward until they arrived at the foot of the small hillock.
Master Zheng looked around and suddenly burst out laughing. "There's nothing here but a patch of weeds! Not even a mouse hole! Dr. Chen, do tell us how we're supposed to get in."
Luo Xiu ignored him. Pointing ahead, he said to Chi Sha, "Punch that spot with everything you've got."
Without a word, Chi Sha immediately threw a punch. The terrifying force of the blow howled through the air, but strangely, it didn't land on the hill. Instead, it was stopped in the Void by some invisible force.
Then, under everyone's astonished gaze, the space where the punch had struck began to twist, revealing a blurry spatial portal. Luo Xiu dashed forward to leap inside, but the portal repaired itself and vanished in the next instant.
He stopped and said, "It seems this barrier is tougher than I thought. It's difficult to pass through an opening that only lasts for a moment."
At that moment, Xia Chan stepped forward, a strange aura emanating from her body.
"Let me handle it." She looked at Chi Sha and said, "Miss Chi, please throw another punch. Afterward, I will use my power to stabilize the portal."
The Wicked Tenderness Technique she cultivated was a type of spatial technique, perfect for this situation.
A moment later, Chi Sha threw another punch, forcibly tearing open the spatial portal. Xia Chan immediately used the power of the Wicked Tenderness Technique to stabilize the opening.
"Everyone, hurry! I can't hold this for long!" Xia Chan urged, her voice strained.
No one dared to hesitate, and they leaped through one after another.

On a desolate and barren land, Luo Xiu leaped onto a toppled, broken wall. He gazed at the seemingly endless ruins in the distance.
Can you sense it? he asked internally.
Lin Tong's voice chuckled in his mind. "I can. It's right ahead."
Good.
"Um... Brother," Lin Tong said, "I suddenly have an idea."
What idea?
"I can sense that this land is teeming with Wandering Spirits, and powerful ones at that. Why don't we... make good use of them?"
Hearing this, a faint smile played on Luo Xiu's lips. An excellent idea.
"Hahahaha! It's real! It's really the Land of Lawlessness! Heaven rewards the persistent! I've finally found it!"
Suddenly, Master Zheng's almost manic laughter reached their ears.
Everyone turned to look at him, but he seemed lost in his own world. He hastily pulled out his hand-drawn map and compared it to the ruins ahead.
"That's Lawless City! The King of Law's Tomb must be nearby! Miss Chu, there's no time to lose! Let's go now!"
Thinking of the Sea Oracle Map that was now within her grasp, Xia Chan smiled and nodded. She then looked at Luo Xiu. "Dr. Chen, we truly owe you this time. We never would have found the entrance without you."
Luo Xiu just smiled without saying a word. Hearing this, however, Master Zheng's face soured as if he had swallowed a fly, and his cheeks burned with shame.
"AH—!"
Just then, a blood-curdling scream erupted from nearby.
Everyone tensed and looked toward the sound. They saw one of Xia Chan's brawny men being dragged into the ground by a bony hand that had shot out from beneath the earth.
The bony hand clutched the man's leg and rapidly pulled itself upward, soon revealing its true form.
It was a mummified corpse wreathed in black miasma
